غلام احمد فرقتؔ کاکوروی
دوسرا حادثہ غلام احمد فرقت کاکوروی مرحوم کی درد ناک موت کا ہے، انھوں نے عالم مسافرت میں بڑی بیکسی میں جان دی، بہار کے کسی مشاعرے سے واپس آرہے تھے کہ راستہ میں دفعتہ انتقال ہوگیا، مغل سرائے اسٹیشن پر ٹرین میں لاش ملی، ڈائری سے مرحوم کے نام کا پتہ چلا، پولیس نے ضروری کارروائی کے بعد لاش بنارس کی ایک اسلامی انجمن کے حوالہ کردی جس نے اس مشہور ادیب کو لاوارثی میں دفن کیا، اس دردناک حادثہ پر جتنا بھی رنج والم کا اظہار کیا جائے کم ہے۔
فرقت مرحوم فطری ظریف اور طنز و ظرافت میں شوکت تھانوی کا مثنّٰی تھے، مگر ان کی ظرافت محض ہنسنے ہنسانے کا سامان نہ تھی، بلکہ اکبر کی شاعری کی طرح اصلاحی تھی، اور اس سے انھوں نے بڑے مفید کام لیے، اور اس دور کے ادبی اور سماجی فتنوں کا اپنے رنگ میں بھرپور مقابلہ کیا، اس لحاظ سے وہ ادیب ملت تھے، ان کے قلم میں اتنی طاقت تھی اور انداز بیان اتنا دلکش اور موثر تھا کہ ان کے حریف بھی ان کا لوہا مانتے تھے، وہ ان کے طنز پر تڑپ اٹھتے تھے، مگر اس سے لطف لینے پر بھی مجبور تھے، ان کو لکھنؤ کی ٹکسالی زبان پر بھی قدرت تھی، اور لکھنؤ کی پرانی سوسائٹی کی مصوری میں بھی کمال حاصل تھا، اﷲ تعالیٰ ان کی مسافرت کی موت اور اصلاحی خدمات کے صلہ میں ان کی مغفرت فرمائے۔

PERAN PERILAKU KEPEMIMPINAN WAKIL KEPALA SEKOLAH BIDANG KESISWAAN DALAM PENGORGANISASIAN SISWA BERBASIS MEDIA SOSIAL DI SMK KOTA BEKASI

Principal leadership activities in utilizing social media can affect the effectiveness of organizing, coaching, and communication. This study discusses effective communication with students through utilizing social media. Communication through social media is done by forming groups in various social media. This research was conducted with a survey method that uses data analysis with path analysis methods where calculations are performed with the program used are Data Analysis packages found in Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The subjects of this study were the deputy principals of the Vocational High School students' field of 100 people in the city of Bekasi. The determination of the sample was taken using Slovin formula and random sampling technique, as many as 80 deputy principals in the student field were the sample of the study while 20 deputy principals in the student field were used to test the validation of the research instruments. This research is expected to contribute to society.  

The Impact of Grade Retention on the Self-Esteem and Academic Performance of the Students

This mixed method study examines the impact of grade retention on the academic performance and self-esteem of the students. For the quantitative part, the students of grade four in public schools of Rawalpindi city were taken as the study sample. Initially, this sample was divided into two main groups, i.e. identified poor performers and the normal group of students. After annual examinations, the former group was further divided in two subgroups on the basis of results, i.e. Repeaters Sample and Identified Poor but Promoted Sample. A multiphase panel study was designed to collect quantitative data. The data related to academic performance was collected by locally developed tests of the five subjects taught in grade four of the public schools of the Punjab. The self-esteem of the students was measured through Urdu translation of Beck Youth Inventory for Self-Concept of Children (BSCI-Y). A series of analysis were performed with quantitative data to analyze the variations in academic performance and self-esteem of all the three groups. A group of experienced school teachers teaching at primary level in public schools of Rawalpindi city were selected as the key informants of qualitative aspect of the study. Semi-structured, open-ended interviews were conducted with participant teachers. The first part of the interview was nested in the study, while the second part was triangulated with quantitative findings in order to verify and strengthen the results. The two sets of data were collected concurrently, whereas the triangulation of both types was carried out after the completion of the analysis stage. The findings of the study suggested that there was significant positive impact of grade retention on the academic performance of the repeaters, whereas the impact on self-esteem was found considerably negative. However, the academic performance of the repeaters was not significantly greater than those of the identified poor but promoted group and normal group.
