افسوس ہے کہ علمائے قدیم کی ایک اہم اور آخری یادگار مفتی عبداللطیف صاحب نے گزشتہ مہینہ انتقال فرمایا، مرحوم استاذ العلماء مولانا لطف اﷲ صاحب علی گڑھ کے شاگرد مولانا فضل رحمن گنج مراد آبادیؒ کے مرید اور دارالعلوم ندوۃ العلماء کے دور اول کے اساتذہ میں تھے، حضرت سید صاحب مرحوم نے ابتدائی کتابیں ان ہی سے پڑھی تھیں۔ پھر ندوہ سے اپنے خواجہ تاش مولانا محمد علی مونگیریؒ کے پاس مونگیر چلے گئے اور کچھ دنوں یہاں قیام کے بعد حجاز تشریف لے گئے اور کئی سال تک مدرسۂ صولتیہ مکہ معظمہ میں درس و تدریس کی خدمت انجام دی، اسی زمانہ میں مصر و شام و عراق وغیرہ کی سیاحت کی، پھر حجاز سے واپس آکر مونگیر میں تصنیف و تالیف کا سلسلہ شروع کیا، جامعہ عثمانیہ کے قیام کے بعد جب ان کے ہم درس مولانا حبیب الرحمن خاں شروانی اس کے وائس چانسلر مقرر ہوئے تو انھوں نے مفتی صاحب کو اس کے شعبۂ دینیات میں لکچرر مقرر کیا اور آخر میں وہ اس کی صدارت کے عہدہ سے وظیفہ یاب ہوئے۔ جامعہ عثمانیہ سے سبکدوشی کے بعد شروانی صاحب نے مسلم یونیورسٹی کے شعبۂ دینیات میں ان کا تقرر کرایا۔ مگر چند ہی سال کے بعد ضعف پیری کی وجہ سے اس خدمت سے سبکدوش ہوگئے، اور علی گڑھ میں مستقل قیام فرمایا، مگر درس و تدریس کا سلسلہ آخر عمر تک جاری رہا۔

موجودہ جمہوری سیاسی اضطرابی صورتحال کا جائزہ اور اس کا حل: سیرۃ طیبہﷺ کی روشنی میں

The set of formal legal institutions that collectively constitute a “government”or a “state” form the basis of what we call “Political System”. Democracy, one of the institutions withiun the present day political scenario, is a system of processing conflicts in which the outcomes depend on what the opinion of majority of the participants is. In such a process, no single force or group can control what occurs unless they can prove their majority. The primary problem with the world politics in today’s world is not much different to what it has been over the centuries - it is controlled by people who are generally incapable of envisioning a system of just government that could address the broader problems faced by humanity and that which could think beyond the immediate scene. Nothing about our world will change until we acknowledge this reality and that the quality of life depends on more than a mere establishment of rules by which to live and carry out commerce. It requires an understanding of the universal issues that are not yet considered as a part of the better human condition by most governments of our time. Politicians always have, focussed on the tangible issues of the physical social structure while being oblivious to the fact that such a framework can be no more useful in improving the human condition than is the altruistic value of the foundation on which it is built. In this paper, the existing democratic political system has been thoroughly analyzed in accordance with the seerah of our beloved messengerﷺ.

A Comparative Study of Instructional Supervision in Army Public Schools and Colleges and Federal Government Educational Institutions in Pakistan

Instructional supervision is one of the important tasks for the principal of a school. The role of principal in the school is complex in nature; a role that involves many duties and responsibilities. One of the roles is being an instructional leader to help the teachers to improve their teaching. Improved teaching will automatically result in higher student achievement. The research aimed to compare instructional supervision in Army Public Schools & Colleges and Federal Government Educational Institutions in Pakistan. The significance of the topic lies in the worsening instructional quality in the schools which can significantly be improved by regulating the supervision process through principals who possess experience in both educational and administrative fields. The principal, an instructional leader, is the key figure in creating a school environment in which instructional leadership can thrive. The objectives of the study were; (a) to explore the instructional supervisory practices used in APS & Cs and FGEIs; (b) to find out the difference between perceived supervisory practices of instructional programs adopted by the heads of APS & Cs and FGEIs; (c) To evaluate the supervisory practices in APS & Cs and FGEIs in the light of existing supervisory practices; (d) to propose a model of supervisory practices for APS & Cs and FGEIs. The population of the study consisted of all the principals and secondary school teachers of APS & Cs and FGEIs in Pakistan. Mixed method research design was used; quantitative questionnaire and qualitative interviews were used to gather the data. For quantitative data 80 Heads of APS & Cs and 130 Heads of FGEI, 400 teachers from APS & Cs and 390 teachers from FGEIs were part of the sample through random sampling technique. Meanwhile, for qualitative data collection; 20 heads of the institutions from FGEIs and 10 heads of the institutions from APS & Cs, 20 teachers from FGEIs and 30 teachers from APS & Cs were selected for interviews through Purposive Sampling. Mean, standard deviation, and ttest were used as statistical tools for analysing data, whereas thematic analysis was used for qualitative data analysis. Acquired results from data were discussed while linking them with previous studies and theory. It was found that instructional supervision, its regularity, maintenance of record of supervision and its utility in the form of teachers’ punctuality, performance and improved instructional methodology based on feedback to the teachers is more frequent in APS & Cs than in FGEIs. The process needs to be further improved in FGEIs through effective measures taken at departmental level.
