افسوس ہے ہماری بزم علم وادب کی پرانی شمعیں ایک ایک کرکے اٹھتی جا رہی ہیں۔چنانچہ گزشتہ ماہِ دسمبر کی ۱۹؍کوخواجہ غلام السیّدین بھی ہم سے جُدا ہوگئے۔ مرحوم مولانا حالیؔ کے نواسہ تھے اورحق یہ ہے کہ اس رشتہ کاجامہ مرحوم کے قامت موزوں پرایسا راست آیا کہ خاندانوں میں اس کی مثالیں کم ہی ملیں گی۔ وہ نوعمری میں علی گڑھ کے ٹریننگ کالج کے نامور پرنسپل ہوئے۔اس کے بعد رامپور ،کشمیر اور بمبئی میں حکومت کے مشیر تعلیم کے عہدہ پر فائز رہے۔آزادی کے بعد مرکزی وزارت تعلیم میں سکریٹری ہوئے۔اوراس عہدہ سے پنشن پائی۔لیکن سچ یہ ہے کہ یہ سب عہدے ان کے علمی و ادبی درجہ ومقام سے فروتر تھے۔ وہ انگریزی اور اردو دونوں زبانوں کے بلند پایہ ادیب اور مقرر تھے۔ پچاسوں مقالات کے علاوہ انگریزی اور اردو میں متعدد وقیع کتابیں ان کی یادگار ہیں۔ اگرچہ تعلیم اور اس کافلسفہ ان کاخاص موضوع تھا لیکن تاریخ اورمذہب سے بھی فطری لگاؤ تھا۔
بڑی بات یہ ہے کہ فکرو نظر کااعتدال و توازن بلا کا تھا۔وہ قدامت پرستوں میں ترقی پسند تھے اورترقی پسندوں میں قدامت پرست۔ تحریر و تقریر دونوں میں بڑا رچاؤ اور رکھ رکھاؤ تھا، اس بناپر ہر طبقہ میں قدرومنزلت کی نگاہ سے دیکھے جاتے تھے۔ان کو بین الاقوامی شہرت حاصل تھی، چنانچہ ملازمت سے سبکدوش ہونے کے بعد امریکہ، کناڈا اور یورپ میں بار بار وزٹنگ پروفیسر ہوکر گئے۔ آخرزمانہ میں اسلامیات کی طرف انہماک زیادہ ہوگیاتھا اوراس سلسلہ میں جب کبھی انہیں کوئی اشکال ہوتا راقم الحروف کو لکھتے تھے اور جواب سے خوش ہوتے تو اس کااظہار ایک مستقل خط کے ذریعہ کرتے تھے۔نہایت مہذب ،خوش طبع اور کریم النفس انسان تھے۔عمر ۶۷ کے لگ بھگ پائی ۔اﷲ تعالیٰ مغفرت و بخشش کی نعمتوں سے سرفراز فرمائے۔اب تہذیب اورشائستگی کے...
Misunderstanding of Westerner about Islam. Islam originates from the word "Salam" which means peace, submission and tolerance. Islam has never preached for intolerance, hatred and violence. It has despised violence and bloodshed and having no place for extremism. Islam is a religion of moderation rather than extremism. The Holy Quran enshrines benign treatment and attitude even towards non-believers, who are residing in Muslim state and to guarantee them all their basic rights of life and property. It negates hatred and fundamentalism and stands for universality. There arises question that how this situation has been muddled and the real soul of Islam is distorted? How incendiary norms have been infested in federally administered tribal areas of Pakistan? There is a need for implementation of anti-terror laws and to condemn terrorism in all its manifestations.
Entanglement, highlights all the counter-intuitive trait of the theory now employed for quantum information processing (QIP) tasks. However, entangled states are inherently fragile, prone to decoherence and decays through environmental interactions. Therefore the protection and preservation of entanglement becomes stringently important. The thesis describes the theoretical framework for the generation of various entangled states, their characterization and protection methodology involving both the discrete and continuous variables. First two proposals deal with engineering and protection of entanglement between quantum dots (QDs) placed in the vicinity of a nanoring having a surface plasmon (SP). Interaction of SP emanating from nanoring generates entanglement among the QDs and the counter propagating modes of SP. We also generalize it for multipartite case. QD interaction with SP is also utilized for protection of entanglement among QDs. The system with proven experimental feasibility open up a new vista for a sustainable entangled networks. Another way of protecting entanglement is to engineer environment. Here we consider an open system to be part of larger system-bath combination which is closed to the outside that is switching the system environment coupling from Markovian to non-Markovian. We investigate the dynamics and decoherence of entanglement in a system consisting of two atomic qubits trapped in two separate cavities containing structured reservoir in non-Markovian domain. Entanglement is quantified for various initial entangled states showing delay of sudden death of entanglement. For continuous variable regime, quantum beat laser (QBL) is considered. In order to preserve entanglement and to minimize entanglement degradation, structured environment is introduced by placing the system''s doubly resonant cavity into two mirrors forming another large leaky cavity. Here, the entanglement is plotted verses time for various values of driving field strength, purity and thermal noise. The results demonstrate that the employed preserving schematic not only enhances the entanglement among two modes of the lasers but it preserve the entanglement for longer time than in Markovian approximation for its efficient applications in quantum information processing tasks.
