مولانا عبدالعزیز میمنی راجکوٹی
عربی زبان و ادب سے دلچسپی رکھنے والوں کے لئے مولانا عبدالعزیز میمنی کی وفات بڑی افسوس ناک ہے، انھوں نے خاصی طویل عمر پائی، انتقال کے وقت ۹۶ برس کے تھے، لیکن عربی علم و ادب اور تاریخ و تحقیق کے میدان میں ان کا جو مرتبہ تھا، اس کی بناء پر درازی عمر کے باوجود ان کا انتقال بہت محسوس ہوگا، اور عرصہ دراز تک انھیں یاد کیا جاتا رہے گا۔
وہ ۱۸۸۹ء میں راجکوٹ (کاٹھیاواڑ) میں پیدا ہوئے، عنفوان شباب میں تحصیل علم کے لئے دہلی کا سفر کیا، اور وہاں ایک عرصہ تک تحصیل علم میں مشغول رہے، انھوں نے باقاعدہ کسی درس گاہ سے سند فراغ نہ لی تھی، لیکن اہل کمال کی خدمت میں رہ کر عربی ادب میں کمال پیدا کیا، شیخ طیب عرب سے مدتوں اکتساب فیض کیا، ڈپٹی نذیر احمد سے بھی کافی استفادہ کیا، مطالعہ کتب کا خاص اہتمام تھا، اس طرح کامل دستگاہ حاصل کرلی اور اقران و اماثل میں ممتاز سمجھے جانے لگے، تلاش معاش کے لئے پہلے اسلامیہ کالج پشاور پہنچے، وہاں عربی کے استاد کی حیثیت سے کچھ عرصہ تک درس و تدریس کی ملازمت انجام دی، اپریل ۱۹۲۱ء میں اورینٹل کالج لاہور میں ایڈیشنل مولوی کی حیثیت سے ایک سو روپیہ ماہوار تنخواہ پر تقرر ہوا، یہاں کی علمی و ادبی فضا نے ان کی خوابیدہ صلاحیتوں کو بیدار کیا، چنانچہ درس و تدریس کے ساتھ تصنیف و تحقیق کا ذوق پروان چڑھا، چار سال بعد آخر ۱۹۲۵ء میں یہاں سے علی گڑھ چلے آئے، پہلے شعبۂ عربی میں استاد ہوئے، پھر صدر شعبہ ہوگئے، ۱۹۴۹ء میں یہاں سے ریٹائر ہوکر کراچی چلے گئے، وہاں کراچی یونیورسٹی کے قیام پر شعبۂ عربی کے صدر منتخب ہوئے، یہاں سے سبکدوشی کے بعد اکتوبر ۱۹۵۴ء میں مرکزی ادارۂ تحقیقات اسلامی کے پہلے اعزازی...
In most of service organizations particularly in Pakistan financial sector, employees have reduced their job performance and shortened quality of work due to many factors influencing them at workplace. This research study aims to explore such antecedents in view of Islam that can improve the quality of work in banking sector wherein mediating effect of perceived job performance has been tested. Model variables of this study have also been described in the Islamic perspective. Islam is complete religion in all respect and provides foundation for quality of work. Accuracy & beatification in work, discipline, sequence of tasks, impartiality, and Islamic job satisfaction, knowing ourselves and its link with knowing to our God are parts of quality of work and employees’ performance in the Islamic point of view. The target population of this study covers 20,514 employees of banking sector working in capital cities of Pakistan. Data were collected via cross sectional approach from 380 desk and frontline officials of Public and private banks. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling techniques were used for data analysis. Findings of this research are demonstrated that job satisfaction and emotional intelligence are found the valuable antecedents of job performance and quality of work where employee’s job performance has been proved as a partial mediator between antecedents and quality of work. The two antecedents i.e. Job satisfaction, emotional intelligence of perceived job performance and quality of work have been supposed in this study to take as interpreters for the improvement of employees’ contentment and abilities in the working environment of banking sector. These are positively persuaded to job performance and quality of work. A practical exposure is offered by this research that organizational education about importance to employee’s satisfaction and emotional intelligence would be vital for achieving optimum results in this industry.
Language Planning in Pakistan Language is vitally the most important aspect of human beings. It is the trait which differentiates humans from non-humans. Language riot only represents human thoughts but it also distinguishes societies, cultures and nations. Language gives identity to the diverse groups of humans living in this world. Language also acts as the identity marker of various groups living in a single culture. It acts as the primary factor in the agents of power. Considering language in relation to its role in politics, it is the basic tool in identity and nationality formation, and plays a vital role in hegemonic and counter-hegemonic struggles. While undergoing this research, the researcher concentrated upon the following assumptions and issues.
Firstly, language planning is the most important tool to make the orientation of the educationists towards a
language to use it as a standard in teaching and learning. Secondly, Pakistan has two languages working side-
by-side with each other-the national language (Urdu) and an official language (English)-but, here is no
defensible or established language policy for the use of either of the two languages. Thirdly, there is no
identification of the use of any language as the medium of instruction. Hence, several varying educational
systems are working simultaneously in Pakistan having their own weaknesses and strengths.
