21. Al-Anbiya/The Prophets
I/We begin by the Blessed Name of Allah
The Immensely Merciful to all, The Infinitely Compassionate to everyone.
21:01
The time of their reckoning draws ever closer to the people as it starts while experiencing their death,
and yet in their heedlessness of its coming, they keep turning away.
21:02
Whenever a new Message comes to them from their Rabb - The Lord,
they listen to it playfully.
21:03
Their hearts are preoccupied with trivial things.
Yet, concealing their inner thoughts, the unjust/wrongdoers say in their private conversations:
‘Is this Muhammad not a human being like you?
Will you, then, submit to his magic, with your eyes wide open?’
21:04
He - The Prophet – said:
‘My Rabb - The Lord Knows whatever you confer and conspire and, in fact, every word
spoken within the celestial realm and the terrestrial world.
For HE is the All-Listening, the All-Knowing.’
21:05
No way!
‘Instead, they allege:
The Qur’an is just a collection of his jumbled false dreams.
Perhaps he has fabricated it.
Rather he is a poet!’
If this is not the case, then let him bring us a miraculous Sign, as were the former Messengers assigned with Signs.
21:06
Not one of the habitation(s) which WE destroyed in punishment before they had believed.
So, will they, then, be willing to believe or get destroyed?
21:07
And WE have not assigned any Messenger before you except for those men on to whom WE revealed -
so just ask scholars of the Former Divine Scriptures, if you do not know.

The humanity witnesses a strange international phenomenon called
the Globalization which endeavors to make an intellectual
unification in the sphere of norms — education, social, economic
and politics. 77m carries a strong challenge for the Muslim societies
across the world. Through a focus on the educational, cultural,
economical and politiiclal spheres and to employ the devices of
communication
— media and the internet. The world has shrunk
into a small village which is diminishing the geographical,
historical, political and educational boundaries. The world is
undergoing the transition in materialistic and educational values
and principles which are not accorded as per the Islamic values.
Through media and interactive modes of communication. Hence, it
becomes necessary to examine all aspects of this subject to be on a
firm position of this transformation to preserve and safeguard our
Muslim identity. In this context, the concept of globalization by
Muslim and western scholars and its impact on globalization are
discussed along with some proposals in order to cope with the
negative effects of globalization in the Muslim societies.
Teaching of science has become more impressionable with the integration of technology. A small-scale action research study was organized in one of the Government High schools of Gilgit Baltistan to explore the use of animated videos for teaching an abstract concept of ‘states of matter’. The study was conducted in a science classroom of Grade V. The research found how animated video worked in Grade V science teaching to enhance students’ conceptual understanding of states of matter. This action study was conducted over a period of five weeks comprising of three cycles. In the reconnaissance stage, three lessons of science teacher were observed, a pre-test, a focused group discussion with six purposively selected students and an interview of the science teacher was carried out. In cycle 1, 2 and 3, six lessons were planned and taught. Data was collected through observations, focused group discussions, interviews and pre and post-tests. The finding of the study showed that students gradually got familiar with animated videos, started sharing their ideas in a group, and resultantly these animated videos proved meaningful in supporting their understanding of states of matter. The findings also showed that students took an initial step towards conceptual understanding- a slight bent from teacher-centered to student-centered learning. The study also pointed out at both teacher’s and students’ misconceptions about states of matter. However, this study has implications for the school in terms of students’ better learning and effective teaching. Therefore, schools need to relook its method of teaching from rote memorizing to conceptual understanding, and teachers need to change their lectured based teaching to activity/animated video-based teaching.
