خاتمة الكتاب

القرآن الكريم هو الكتاب الرئيسي في الإسلام، الذي يُقدِّسه ويؤمن به المسلمون أنّه كلام الله المنزّل على نبيه محمد صلي الله عليه وسلم -للبيان والإعجاز،المنقول عنه بالتواتر حيث يؤمن المسلمون أنه محفوظ في الصدور والسطور من كل مس أو تحريف، وهو المتعبد بتلاوته، وهو آخر الكتب السماوية بعد صحف إبراهيم والزبور والتوراة والإنجيل.كما يعدّ القرآن أرقى الكتب العربية قيمة لغوية ودينية، لما يجمعه بين البلاغة والبيان والفصاحة.وللقرآن أثر فصل في توحيد وتطوير اللغة العربیة وآدابها وعلومها الصرفية والنحوية، ووضع وتوحيد وتثبيت اللّبنات الأساس لقواعد اللغة العربية۔

قال الله تعالی:" إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُ وَقُرْآنَهُ  فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَاهُ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَه (سورة القیامة : ۱۸)

كان الإعجاز القرآني خليقا أن يثير في الحياة الإسلامية مباحث على جانب عظيم من الأهمية يتصدى بها العلماء للكشف على وجوه البلاغة القرآنية.

 وبذل العلماء جهودا مشكورة، وقاموا بمحاولات مضنية، لإبراز البلاغة القرآنية في صورة موحية ذات ظلال، ولكنهم وقفوا غالبا عند النص الواحد، فاقتطعوه اقتطاعا من الوحدة القرآنية الكبرى ، ودرسوه دراسة تحليلية جزئية ذهب بمعالم جمالها الذي لا يتناهى حول مشكلة اللفظ والمعنى، فكانت النزعة الكلامية تفسد عليهم تذوقهم للنصوص، وإدراكهم مواطن البلاغة والإعجاز.

قال الجاحظ في كتابه الحيوان: "ولي كتاب جمعت فيه آيات من القرآن الكريم لتعرف بها ما بين الإيجاز والحذف، وبين الزوائد والفضول والاستعارات، فإذا قرأتها رأيت فضلها في الإيجاز، والجمع للمعاني الكثيرة بالألفاظ القليلة.

اختلف العلماء -رحمهم الله تعالى- في لفظ القرآن لكنهم اتفقوا على أنه اسم فذهب جماعة من العلماء منهم الشافعي، الأشعري، ابن كثير ، الفراء، اللحياني ، الزجاج و ابن الأثير وغیر ذلک من العلماء اللغویین الذین ذهبوا إلى أنه اسم جامد غير مهموز كما ذكر الأشعري: إنه مشتق من قرنت الشيء بالشيء إذا ضممته إلیه ومنه قولهم: قرن بين البعيرين إذا جمع بينهما ومنه سمي الجمع بين الحج...

Revising Islamic Studies Courses for Improving Cordial Interfaith Relations in Nigeria: A Case Study of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University Katsina, Nigeria

Nigeria has been, for the last four decades, struggling with the menace of inter-religious hostilities between Christians and Muslims who formed the largest religious groups in the country. Numerous policies and programs brokered by various Governments and non-Governmental organizations to curtail the situation failed to yield the desired result. Islamic studies as one of the widely offered programs in the Nigerian universities has the prospect of offering solution to the predicament. However, the courses taught in the program are mainly studies on the Qur’an, Hadith, Tauhid, Ibadat, Fiqh, Islamic civilization, thought and history without single course on interfaith relations. Taking Umaru Musa Yar’adua University Katsina (UMYUK)-Nigeria, as a study case, this paper attempts to draft and propose the inclusion of interfaith relations courses in the curriculum of Islamic Studies programs at the university level in Nigeria for realization of peaceful coexistence in the country. The researcher uses primary data from the Qur’an and sunnah as well as secondary data from different sources. The paper employs exegetical methods and adopts content analysis in the process of conducting the research. The article recommends merging of duplicated courses in the existing curriculum and inclusion of the proposed courses by the Nigerian universities and other institutions of higher learning that offer various Islamic studies programs for the attainment of peaceful interfaith relations in the country.

Study of Magnetic Materials at Nano Scale

The miniaturization of memory devices like hard disks, random access memories and their read heads has made the detailed study of magnetic materials at nano scale imperative. The characteristics of magnetic material are highly sensitive to different growth conditions, temperature and nature of neigbouring material, as a result the magnetic characteristics may be tailored. In this research work single Ni thin films sandwiched between Cu buffer layer and Cu capping layer are grown on Si(001) substrates by resistive heating in an ultra high vacuum chamber at different substrate temperature .The temperatures of substrate chosen for this study are 300K (room temperature) and very low temperature, approximately 30K. These thin films are grown with different Ni thickness ranging from 1nm to 10nm. A comparison of physical and magnetic properties of Ni thin films is done with respect to Ni thickness as well as with respect to the substrate temperature. Multilayers of Ni thin films are also grown. These multilayers are grown on Si(111) with a Cu buffer layer, a Cu spacer layer between the Ni layers and a Cu capping layer. The multilayers are grown with different Ni thicknesses, ranging from 1nm to 3nm, and with different Cu spacer layer thickness, ranging from 10nm to 20nm. A comparison of physical and magnetic characterization is done with respect to Ni thickness and with respect to different Cu spacer thickness. It is found that the thickness of the Ni thin film as well as the temperature of the substrate affects the physical and magnetic properties of the Cu/Ni/Cu/Si(001) samples. The variation in grain size of samples with different Ni thickness and different substrate temperature, shows different trend. Grain size of samples grown at low substrate temperature is larger. The values of saturation magnetization of different Ni thickness samples, grown at room temperature of substrate, increases with increase in Ni thickness. In Cu/Ni/Cu/Ni/Cu/Si(111) multilayers with different Ni thicknesses indicate that the grain size is affected by the thickness of the Ni film. The value of saturation magnetization is almost the same for different Ni thicknesses. Grain size is affected in multilayers with different Cu spacer layers as well. The saturation magnetization is nearly constant for different spacer layers with same Ni thickness. A shift in the hysteresis loop is also observed in the positive direction for most of the multilayers.
