کہتے ہیں کہ حق تعالی نے انسان کو تخلیق کیا اور اسے بہت کچھ عطا کیا لیکن ایک چیز اس کی زنبیل میں نہیں ڈالی اور وہ سکون ہے۔انسان متجسس طبیعت لے کر پیدا ہوا اس میں کچھ کرگزرنے کا جذبہ بدرجہ اتم موجود ہے۔اسی جذبہ نے اسے غوروفکر پر مجبور کیا۔چونکہ انسا ن کو زندگی میں نت نئے مسائل کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے اس لیے انسان زندگی کے ان مسائل کا حل تلاش کرنے کی کوشش کرتا ہے۔قدرت اس پر مہربان ہو جاتی ہے اور آئے روز نئے انکشافات کے نت نئے دروازے کھل گئے جس سے ابن آدم کی حوصلہ افزائی ہوئی۔یہ ابتدا اتفاقیہ یا بعض اوقات غوروفکر کے نتیجے میں ہوئی۔یوں ہر انسانی الجھن کا حل دریافت ہوا اور یہ حل ایک نئی دریافت ثابت ہوئی گویا یہ تحقق کی ابتدائی اور غیر مربوط صورت تھی جو بالعموم انفرادی کوششوں کا حامل تھی۔بعد ازاں ترقی کے بعد اس نے ان تجربات کو مربوط کیا اور دوسرے باصلاحیت لوگوں کو اپنی کاوشوں میں شریک کیا۔
تحقیق کے معنی و مفہوم
تحقیق اردو زبان کے زبان لفظ حق سے ہے جس کے معنی سچائی کے ہیں یعنی حقیقت کی تلاش۔تحقیق عربی زبان کا لفظ ہے اس کا مادہ "ح۔ق۔ق" ہے جس کے معنی کھرے اور کھوٹے کی چھان بین کے ہیں۔تحقیق کے لیے انگریزی میں لفظ Researchاستعمال ہوتا ہے۔Re کے معنی دوبارہ اور search کے معنی تلاش ہیں۔گویاریسرچ یا تحقیق کے معنی دوبارہ تلاش کرنے کے ہیں۔کرافورڈ کے مطابق:
"اس کی ابتدا ء کسی مسئلہ سے ہوتی ہے پھر وہ مواد جمع کرتی ہے ،پھر اس کا تنقیدی تجزیہ کرتی ہے اور صحیح شہادت کی بنا پر کسی نتیجے پر پہنچتی ہے۔"

" تحقیق محتاط یا سرگرم تلاش اور گہری جستجو کا نام ہے۔"

Pedagogical Approach for Effective Teaching of English Language in Nigerian Secondary Schools

This paper examined the pedagogical approaches to the teacher  learning of English language in Nigerian secondary  schools. However, the paper identified the concepts and types of pedagogical approaches. The factors affecting pedagogical approach for effective teaching and learning of English language. It was therefore concluded that the most effective pedagogical approach for the teaching-learning process of English language is the use of child centredness approach, activity oriented prorgamme it was therefore recommended that teachers should be curriculum. It was noted that  effective use of pedagogical approach enhances effective teaching learning of English language especially in Nigerian secondary schools.

Building Teacher Leadership Capacity: Appreciative Inquiry in Action

This paper discusses how teacher leadership is developed through appreciative inquiry. The research was conducted in a boys' public secondary school of District Ghizer in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is usually assumed that engagement of teachers in leadership roles contribute to school improvement. Thus, AI was applied as an approach for energizing and positively charging participants through great conversation, appreciative interviews and supportive and positive feedback. However, embedded in qualitative research paradigm, the 5 D's cyclic model of AI was used as a data generation tool which comprised of I) defining positive core, ii) discovering, iii) dreaming, iv) designing, and v) delivering. By purposive sampling, three research participants' teachers were selected for capacity building by experiencing teacher leadership roles in the school context. Thus generated data was analyzed, and transcribed. As a result, themes were produced by coding process. The coded themes were further evaluated to make interpretations. The research findings reveal that use of appreciative inquiry to leadership development is a heart touching process. The participants argue that they were inspired and energized by caring, respect, positive questioning, scaffolding support and positive feedback. Thus, they enhanced their leadership capacity through leadership activities like experiencing shared vision exercise, executing co-planning, co-teaching, observing and being observed and by conducting workshop to share learning experiences as a result of this study. Hence, change was observed in their perception, practices and attitudes whereby it was concluded that teachers seemed receptive towards change. This shows that teachers execute leadership roles in the public sector school when they are leaded by action and inspired by collaborative approaches, through timely appreciation within and outside of the classroom.
