ڈاکٹر سید عبداﷲ ۱۴؍ اگست ۱۹۸۶ء کو لاہور میں اس عالم فانی کو چھوڑ کر عالم جاودانی کو سدھارے، اس خبر کو سن کر دل کو ویسی ہی چوٹ لگی جیسے اپنے خاندان کے کسی عزیز فرد کی دائمی جدائی سے لگ سکتی تھی، ان کی رحلت سے علم و ادب کی ایک زمردیں مسند خالی ہوگئی، وہ علمی حلقوں میں عربی زبان کے قدر شناس، فارسی شعر و ادب کے رمز شناس، اردو کے عناصر خمسہ اور شعراء کے اداشناس، علامہ محمد اقبال کے جوہر شناس، اور اپنی نظر و فکر کے نکتہ شناس کی حیثیت سے یاد کیے جائیں گے، پاکستان میں اردو کو قومی زبان بنانے میں شاہین اور عقاب بن کر جس طرح جھپٹے، پلٹے اور پلٹ کر جھپٹے، اس کی یادیں بھی لوگوں کے دلوں کو گرماتی رہیں گی، ان کی تصانیف سے یونیورسٹی کے اساتذہ نے اردو کے ادیبوں اور شاعروں کو سمجھ کر جس طرح طلبہ کو سمجھایا، اس کی عنبریں یادیں بھی زریں حروف سے لکھی جائیں گی، اور پھر انسائیکلوپیڈیا آف اسلام کی تکمیل کر کے لوگوں کی دیرینہ آرزوؤں کے ریگ زار کو جس طرح شاداب مرغزار بنادیا، اس کی یادوں کے کنول بھی ہمیشہ کھلے رہیں گے، اور کس کو اس سے انکار ہوسکتا ہے کہ وہ علم و فن کے سیاروں میں عطارد بن کررہے، اور ساٹھ ۶۰ سال کی علمی خدمت کے بعد اسی حیثیت سے رخصت ہوئے۔
میری یادوں کی شبستان میں وہ اس طرح دکھائی دیں گے کہ وہ مجھ سے مل رہے ہیں، گلے لگارہے ہیں، اور کہہ رہے ہیں کہ میں تو اپنے کو مولانا سید سلیمان ندویؒ کا فرزند معنوی سمجھتا ہوں، ان ہی کی تحریروں سے تحقیق کرنا سیکھا ہے، میں تم سے ملتا ہوں تو محسوس کرتا ہوں کہ سگے بھائی سے مل رہا...
Education is the development of the different aspects of human being like psychological, social and physical development etc. It is not only the provision of information but it is for the sake of guidance of students to make them beneficial human beings. A teacher inculcates good habits in students and tries to reduce or terminate bad habits in them. Therefore, the responsibility of teacher is to guide the students about good and bad along with improving their academics. But while doing so, the teacher should avoid the ways which can be harmful for the students. Therefore he (the teacher) should know how to guide the students and stop them from wrong doings. At what time what technique, he should adopt that can give benefits to students? He should be aware of the student’s psychology, their age and their abilities. Sometimes punishment is very much necessary for students to make them realize not to commit anything like this again. At this critical moment what can help the student and teacher? The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), being a perfect teacher guided the Umma in this aspect. He used many skills as a teacher and taught his followers, how to guide their children and pupils. Many times the prophets would use to advise his followers on anywrong doing and that is why none of the followers repeated the same mistake. It is very important to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet in aspect. This research paper discusses the way of handling the students in different situations.
This thesis presents those factors that are found to mainly affect the satisfaction and stress levels of engineering students in Pakistan. Students form different public and private sector engineering universities of Punjab are selected for this purpose. Data is randomly collected with the help of two surveyors. Reliability of the two surveyors is confirmed with the help of Measurement System Analysis. Questionnaires are based on students’ expectations from their respective institutions. Randomly collected data is analyzed on software MINITAB 14. Six sigma techniques of Measurement System Analysis, Affinity diagram, Pareto analysis, SIPOC (Supplier Input Process Output Customer) analysis, Cause and Effect Matrix, Scatter plots and Person correlation co- efficient are used for reaching the most significant factors. Results indicate that teaching skills of teachers are found to mainly affect the satisfaction level of engineering students. On further probe, it is observed that communication and interactive skills are the most vital teaching skills that influence the student satisfaction. Further elaborating the communication skills, it is revealed that interactive behavior of teachers and their clear concepts deeply affect the satisfaction level of students. Similarly, careless marking by the teachers are found to produce maximum stresses among the male engineering students, while, on the other hand, teachers’ discouraging attitude to take girls on industrial trips and their lack of conducting class tests are responsible for developing stresses among female engineering students. Moreover, poor command of English language as well as lack of personal confidence are some of the factors that are found to create maximum stresses in the students belonging remote and backward areas of Pakistan. Improvement strategies are then developed to enhance the communication and interaction skills of teachers. Significant increase in the satisfaction level of the students is observed after the implementation of the strategies. Identification of these factors can guide the educational leadership of these institutions to precisely focus their resources in the above mentioned factors for the best satisfaction of their students, as it will certainly improve the transfer and creation of knowledge among these students.
