سخت افسوس ہے ۶؍ ستمبر کویوپی گورنمنٹ کے سب سے زیادہ سنیئر آئی سی ایس، ممبرریونیو بورڈ سیدصدیق حسن صاحب نے اچانک داعیِ اجل کولبیک کہا اور اس دنیا سے رخصت ہوگئے۔انتقال سے صرف پانچ روز پہلے یعنی یکم ستمبر کو عصر کی نماز کے بعد دارالعلوم ندوۃ العلماء لکھنؤ کی مجلسِ انتظامیہ کاجلسہ تھا، مرحوم سے وہاں ملاقات ہوئی،حسب عادت بڑے تپاک اور گرم جوشی سے ملے۔ جلسہ کے اختتام پر ہم سب کے ساتھ مسجد ندوہ میں مغرب کی نماز پڑھی، باہر نکلے توراقم الحروف اوردوسرے حضرات کے ساتھ دس پندرہ منٹ بات چیت کرتے رہے اور پھر مولانا عبدالماجدصاحب دریابادی کواپنے ساتھ لے کر کارمیں بیٹھ کر رخصت ہوگئے۔ اس وقت دیکھنے میں کافی تندرست اور ہشاش بشاش تھے اوراس بات کا وہم وگمان بھی نہیں ہوسکتا تھا کہ بس اب عالمِ آب وگِل میں پانچ دن کے مہمان ہیں۔ پاکستان میں ایک قریبی عزیز کاانتقال ہوگیاتھا، اُن کی تعزیت کرنے کی غرض سے اپنی بیوی اور بیٹی کے ساتھ لاہور جارہے تھے ،امرتسر پہنچ کر کسٹم وغیرہ کے مراحل سے گزرنے کے لیے ایک متعلق افسر کی میز کے سامنے جاکر کھڑے ہوئے اور جیب سے پاسپورٹ نکال کرافسر مذکور کی طرف بڑھارہے تھے کہ وقتِ موعود آپہنچا ،یک بیک دل کی حرکت بندہوگئی اور دھڑام سے زمین پر گر پڑے ، لوگوں نے دیکھا تومرغِ روح قفسِ عنصری سے پرواز کر چکا تھا۔ ’’انا ﷲ وانا الیہ راجعون ‘‘۔
مرحوم کی شخصیت عجیب وغریب کمالات واوصاف کی جامع تھی،حکومت کے اعلیٰ افسر ہونے کی حیثیت سے نہایت لائق وقابل، بڑے نیک نام اور حکومت اور پبلک دونوں کی نگاہ میں معتمد اورقابلِ احترام تھے۔ ہرمعاملہ میں سرکاری ہو یا غیرسرکاری اُن کی ایمان داری اوردیانت پرسب کاایمان تھا۔ ضرورت مندوں کے ساتھ ہمدردی وغمگساری اور عملاًان کی امداد واعانت...
The concept of freedom and equality enshrined in democratic systems though solves certain individual problems, but at the same time many collective problems arise. In this context, these democratic values become inconsistent with principles of Islamic political system because the concept of freedom and equality in Islam is different from that in western democracy. The Islamic Sharīʻah has divided the obligatory duties into Ḥuqūqul Allah and Ḥuqūq-al-ʻIbād and complying with them guarantee the success in this world and the hereafter. Islam not only connects rights and responsibilities with each other, but also determines their priorities. Those societies where an imbalance is created in discharging duties and rights get caught up in mischief and trouble as an unavoidable consequence as if human beings play the main role in the construction and destruction of societies. Keeping in mind the above mentioned issues, the reality of modern philosophy of human rights and its basic criterions and effects in Islamic perspective has been reviewed to find the causes of failure of modern philosophy in protecting the human rights in the contemporary era. Similarly, explaining the concept of human rights in Islam in modern perspective, a research-based analysis has been presented in this paper.
As a concept green marketing commonly aims at encouraging environment friendly goods, which is considered safe for the environment and way of living where individuals can possibly stay. Green marketing is one of the growing concerns for most of the developing countries like Pakistan as evident from literature. In current situation, environmental degradation has emerged as a very hot issue of concern for the society, regulatory authorities and in addition to the corporate sector. Its importance originates from growing ecological concerns like solid wastes, a gradual depletion of ozone, air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution and more importantly global warming. In direction to address the problems related to green marketing in a healthier way, it is vital to know the attitude and behaviour of the working consumers. The current study investigated the issue of green marketing in context of public and private sector universities employees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The study mainly focused on identifying the determinants affecting green purchase intention of consumers. Mixed-method research approach is used in two parts. The 1st part of the research study was based on quantitative method to test the developed hypothesis and validity of the instruments. A simple random sampling technique is used to distribute questionnaire amongst selected sample size. Principle component analysis were used to test the unifactoriality of the constructs. The results of all the tests showed that all items of each factor are correlated with each other, moreover it also provides enough confirmation of the construct validity. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Technique was used to check the relational hypothesis. The second part of the research study was based on qualitative technique which helped in identifying practicing in business sector and environmental protection agency (EPA). Indepth interviews were conducted from the owners and managers of corporate sector and EPA officials selected through common purposive sampling technique. Furthermore, a questionnaire was developed on the basis of the theoretical frame work of the study. Finally the results of the quantitative and qualitative techniques were corroborated with each other. The results showed that determinants have somehow positive and somehow negative relationship with green purchase intention of consumers. The researcher identified major factors affecting green purchase intention. With the help of literature, ignored concept of green marketing is discussed in context of Pakistan. Orientation of experts are also discussed in qualitative part of the study. Finally most important and least important factors are identified through hypothesis testing to fill the gap.
