دل میں دردہے،روح مضطرب اوربے چین ہے،قلم پرلرزہ طاری ہے، زبان وبیان کی قوت دم بخود اورمردہ ہے،نبض حیات ڈوبتی ہوئی معلوم ہورہی ہے کہ میرے گذشتہ تیس(۳۰)سال کے قابل احترام بزرگ مگر بے تکلف رفیق اور ہمدم و دمساز۔ بھائی جمیل مہدی(مدیر روزنامہ’ عزائم‘ لکھنؤوماہنامہ ’برہان‘ دہلی) ۱۳/فروری۱۹۸۸ء کوصبح کوساڑھے سات بجے اس دارفانی سے داربقا کی طرف کوچ کرگئے۔اناﷲ واناالیہ راجعون۔وہ بہادر،بے خوف،جیالا بے باک وبے لوث انسان، وہ صاحب طرزادیب، وہ سراپا اخلاص و ایثار صحافی، وہ دوستوں کادوست،اپنوں کا غمخوار،چھوٹوں کامشفق وبے مربی،بزرگوں کی محفلوں میں باادب مگر بے لاگ انسان ہمیں چھوڑ گیا جس کے دم سے قلم کی آبرو سلامت تھی، اردو صحافت کی عظمت قائم تھی۔ مولانا ظفر علی خاں،مولانا ابوالکلام آزاد، غلام رسول مہرؔ،مولانا محمد علی جوہرؔ،مولانا عبدالماجد دریابادی،مولانا محمد عثمان فارقلیط کی پاکیزہ روایات کی پاسداری تھی۔اردو میں دیانت دارانہ صحافت کابھرم قائم تھا۔ آج کے خودغرضانہ ماحول،مفاد پرستیوں،ضمیرفروشیوں اورمصلحت اندیشیوں کے پُرہول سناٹے میں بھی جس کی ولولہ انگیز اور چونکا دینے والی تحریروں سے حق وصداقت کی بلند آواز گونج اٹھتی تھی،افسوس وہ آخری کڑی بھی ٹوٹ گئی جس کی بدولت ملت کے زریں عہد اورشاندار ماضی سے اس درماندہ، شکستہ اورچاروں طرف سے مہیب ومہلک خطروں سے گھرے ہوئے حال کی تاریکیاں،روشنی کی کرنیں،عمل کی توانائیاں فکروبصیرت اورتجربوں کی تجلیاں حاصل کرتی تھیں۔

The “Crisis and Concerns: A cross-sectional study on Junior Doctors during COVID-19 pandemic”.

Introduction: Doctors committed to the care of patients are trying to fulfill their duty in a difficult situation, but the consequential impacts of COVID-19 outbreak on Junior Doctors mental health are far too complex. Objective: The objective of this study was to gain insight into Junior Doctors’levels of concerns during a global pandemic of COVID-19. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study, utilizing a 23-item validated questionnaire was conducted on two hundred and fifty doctors of various disciplines and nationalities working on training and non-training posts. Results: The response rate was (77 %) and the levels of concern score among Junior doctors during COVID-19 pandemic in the NHS was found to be (41.35±4.9). With regard to gender differences, 32.5% of males and 27.5% females had a moderate concern score of 40 to 47. In regard to safety at work (85%) agreed that they are not safe, (100%) agreed that they are at risk to contract a COVID-19 infection at work and (100%) felt that they will transmit COVID-19 to their families but (95%) agreed that were obliged to take care of patients. In addition, (97.5%) doctors were not confident with the current infection control measures and (77.5%) felt frustrated with poor infection control training offered to them. Conclusion: Therefore, measures to strengthen personal protection and adequate support to Junior Doctors should be addressed urgently by the Healthcare system. Study of Rare Earth and Transition Metals Co-Substituted Y-Type Hexaferrites for High Frequency Applications

The effects of rare-earth (Nd, Gd, Dy, Pr) and transition metal (Ni, Co) ions on Sr-Ba-Cu and Sr-Ba-Zn based Y-type hexaferrites have been investigated. Four series having nominal composition (1) SrBaCu2-xNixNdyFe12-yO22 (2) SrBaCu2-xCoxGdyFe12-yO22 (3) SrBaZn2-xCoxDyyFe12-yO22 and (4) SrBaZn2-xNixPryFe12-yO22, with x=0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 and y=0.0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.1. Sol gel auto-combustion route was employed to prepare these four series. Thermal analysis was employed to study the thermal decomposition process and showed that the pure hexagonal phase was developed after annealing at 950 °C. The crystallite size obtained for all the samples was in the range of 11-22 nm. There was overall increase in lattice parameters by doping with rare-earth and transition metal ions. However, the increase was non-linear. The non-linear trend in lattice parameters was due to the large ionic radii of dopant cations. The bulk density (ρm) obtained for all the samples were much lower than the X-ray density (ρx). The absorption bands displayed by the spectra of FTIR correspond to the tetrahedral and octahedral sites which display signature of hexagonal structure for all the samples. Dielectric behavior was explained on the basis of conduction mechanism through hopping of electrons between Fe3+ and Fe2+ ions and Maxwell-Wagner model. Nyquist plots confirmed the grain boundary contribution in all the prepared Y-type nano hexaferrites samples exhibiting single semicircle. Q values obtained were high and observed above 2.5 GHz. The values of quality factor highlight the possibility of tailoring the operational frequency through compositional control. This suggested the utilization of these materials in Multi-layer chip inductors (MLCIs) at high frequency. The variation in magnetic parameters was discussed in terms of strength of exchange interactions and cations occupancy on different sites. Saturation magnetization and coercivity were found quite high for Dy-Co doped Sr-Ba-Zn hexaferrites and Gd-Co doped Sr-Ba-Cu hexaferrites which suggested the possible utilization of these materials in making permanent magnets. Sr-Ba-Cu based hexaferrites doped with Nd-Ni and Sr-Ba-Zn based hexaferrites doped with Pr-Ni indicated soft characteristics and proved to be suitable for utilizing the prepared hexaferrite materials in fabricating electromagnetic materials and sensors working at higher frequencies. The findings summarized here in current research are useful for exploring the significance of rare-earth transition metal co-doping on the transport properties of prepared Y-type nano-hexaferrites and provide a way for utilizing these hexaferrite materials in making permanent magnets and electromagnetic devices operating at higher frequencies.
