قومی اتحاد
نحمدہ ونصلی علی رسولہ الکریم امّا بعد فاعوذ بااللہ من الشیطن الرجیم
بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم
معزز اسا تذہ کرام اور میرے ہم مکتب شاہینو!
آج مجھے جس موضوع پر اظہار خیال کرنا ہے وہ ہے:’’قومی اتحاد‘‘
جناب صدر!
واعتصموا بحبل اللہ جمیعا ولا تفرقو، تم سب مل کر اللہ کی رسی کو مضبوطی سے تھام لو اور تفرقہ میں نہ پڑو دینِ اسلام اس فرمان کی روشنی میں قومی اتحادکی تلقین کر رہا ہے۔ قومی اتحاد ملی وحدت کی ضمانت ہے۔
محترم صدر!
اتحاد جس شکل میں بھی موجود ہو قابل تحسین تصور کیا جاتا ہے، جوقوم ملی اتحاد کی دولت سے مالا مال ہوتی ہے وہ ہر لحاظ سے خوش و خرم ہوتی ہے، اس کی فضاؤں میں آلودگی نہیں ہوتی ، اس کے کھلیانوں میں خش و خاشاک نہیں ہوتے، اس کے بحر گرد جہالت سے خالی ہوتے ہیں، اس کے افراد کی عروق مردہ نہیں ہوتیں، اس کے میدان ویران نہیں ہوتے، اس کے ہسپتال آباد نہیں ہوتے۔
محترم صدر!
اتحاد جس قوم میں بھی ہو وہ دیگر اقوام میں ممتاز ہوتی ہے، اس کے وجود میں حسن اور نکھار پیدا ہو جاتا ہے۔ چند اینٹیں متحد ہو جائیں تو ایک مکان تعمیر کر دیتی ہیں، ایک عمارت بنا دیتی ہیں، ایک دیوار کھڑی کر کے بے پردہ گھر کو با پردہ بنادیتی ہیں، چند قطرے اکٹھے ہو جائیں تو ایک بحیرہ اور پھر بحر کی شکل اختیار کر لیتے ہیں، چند ذرّے اکٹھے اور متحد ہو جائیں تو ریگستان وجود میں آتا ہے۔

Now a days while Globalization has become talk of the street and through the knowledge explosion and media coverage and access it apparently seems that the world has really squeezed into a globe in hand. Before the terminology of Globalization World Order was introduced after the Gulf War. From there onwards different interpretations were presented by the people aiming World Orders, Globalization off which the international hegemony of Super Power is the right one. To achieve the goal of dominating the world and controlling all the resources became the target of Globalization. By this way Globalization became a dangerous weapon for humankind. Therefore protests and demonstrations were seen against the unwanted designs of Globalization. Exploring the Strategies Used by English Language Teachers to Teach Paragraph Writing Skill at Grade 4 in a Private School in Karachi

This qualitative study aimed at exploring the strategies used by English language teachers at primary level to teach paragraph writing skill in the context of Karachi, Pakistan. The data were gathered using semi-structured interviews, observations, document analysis and focus group discussions. Analysis of the data showed that paragraph writing is a challenging task for students. However, the teachers are trying their best to make paragraph writing easier by using a variety of teaching strategies. These strategies included brain storming, mind mapping, providing check list, vocabulary lists, reading for writing, using Venn-Diagrams, and modeling. The study participants revealed that professional development has helped them polish their teaching skills, particularly teaching writing skills. However, the participants stated that they faced some challenges on their way to teach paragraph writing like, lack of vocabulary, spelling and punctuation errors, mixed ability students in the class, gap between written and verbal expression of the students, and grammatical errors. These hindrances make writing a difficult task for students. The study also found that teachers opt for a strategy which was mentioned in their pacing guide. On the basis of the strategy mentioned in the pacing guide document, teachers develop their lesson plans. It was found that the students have a sound understanding about the paragraph, its structure and parts. They also try to jot down their ideas with the help of the strategy used by the teachers. However, for struggling students, paragraph writing is a challenging task. This study encourages teachers to find the factors that result in the low motivational level of students towards writing. Also the study suggests teachers to incorporate more innovative and mnemonic strategies for teaching paragraph writing such as the PLEASE strategy.
