افسوس ہے ہمارے عزیز اور فاضل دوست مولانااحتشام الحسن کاندہلوی بھی گزشتہ نومبر میں شدید علالت کے بعد انتقال کرگئے۔مولانا کاندہلہ کے رئیسوں میں شمار ہوتے تھے لیکن ان کا مشغلہ تبلیغی کتابوں کی تصنیف وتالیف اور مطالعہ کے سوا کچھ نہ تھا۔شب وروز اسی میں بسر ہوتے تھے اور گفتگو کاموضوع بھی بس یہی ایک بات ہوتی تھی۔تبلیغی جماعت کے طریق کارسے ان کو اختلاف تھا۔وہ کہا کرتے تھے کہ تبلیغ تو نام ہی اسلام کوغیر مسلموں تک پہنچانے کا ہے۔ مرض الوفات میں مبتلاہونے سے ایک ماہ قبل علی گڑھ آئے اور ایک ہفتہ کے قریب قیام کیا۔ان دنوں میں ان سے کئی مرتبہ ملاقات ہوئی اورہرملاقات میں وہ اپنے اس محبوب موضوع پرتقریر کرتے رہے ہیں۔میں حسب عادت خاموش سنتا رہا اور بولا کچھ نہیں۔مرض الوفات میں انھوں نے بڑی سخت تکلیف اٹھائی لیکن صبر ورضا کادامن ہاتھ سے نہیں چھوڑا۔ بڑے خلیق اورعابد وزاہد بزرگ تھے۔اﷲ تعالیٰ ابرار وصلحا کامقام عطا فرمائے آمین۔ [جنوری ۱۹۷۲ء]
The present study investigates the socio-economic problems of the labors in Brick Kilns which are situated in the vicinities of district Hyderabad (Rural). Eighty three respondents from twenty five brick kilns were selected for interview. It is found that majority of the respondents was illiterate and never visited educational, technical and religious institutions. The economic categorization of the labors revealed that majority was categorized as ‘poorest of poor’ (living below poverty line), having semi-pacca houses, earning less than 10,000 rupees per month to manage their entire family. Due to very low income they spent least amount on education and health while more on food and utilities. The general problems reported by the labors are: poor quality of drinking water, no shelter at work place, child labor, low and late payment of wages, long working hours etc. Besides these, both male and female labors informed about misbehave and use of abusive language by the owner/manager, even few of them also complained about physical abuse. Stomach problem was found as common disease in men followed by Anemia whereas in women Anemia was ranked first followed by Backache.
Telecom sector of Pakistan has a rapid growth rate in last few years. One of the problems being faced by mobile
organizations is high rate of employees’ turnover.
This study analyzes the perception of supervisors and subordinates on job definition of mobile organizations
with relationships to turnover intent. Supervisor perception about the subordinate’s job and subordinates
perception about their job. In addition, factors which affect the relationship between two sides are also
analyzed. One hundred and ninety supervisors and subordinate employees of major mobile organizations were
surveyed. The measurement included perception of job definition, supervisors attributes on subordinates job
performance, subordinates attributes towards their job and supervisors attitude towards subordinates job
description. One hundred and sixty questionnaires were distributed to supervisors and their respective
subordinates and one hundred and forty were returned back. Univarite analysis ANOVA was used to find the
relationship of eleven hypotheses of the study. Multivariate analysis was also performed on relationship of JDPI
and tangible and in tangible satisfaction with turnover intent. Statistical package SPSS 17.0 was used.
The study and analysis discovered that there are perceptional differences between supervisors and their
respective subordinates. 55% subordinates’ think that their relationship with supervisors are not friendly and
they are overload at workplace. 69% supervisors think that subordinates take more time to perform different
tasks and give more priority to trivial matters of the job. In addition more than 50% supervisors perceive that
most of their subordinates are classic squeaky wheel that needs always greasing. Furthermore 64 %
subordinates think that they can easily adjust in any other organization, this shows their belongingness to their
organizations and it would be critical for the mobile organizations.
