پنجاب نے اردو زبان وادب کی جونادر شخصیتیں پیدا کی ہیں۔عبدالمجید سالک مرحوم کانام ان حضرات کی صف اوّل میں تھا۔انھوں نے منشی فاضل کرکے بی۔اے کیا تھا، لیکن ذاتی مطالعہ،ذہانت اورشعروادب کے فطری ذوق کے باعث ادبی دنیا میں اس قدر شہرت حاصل کی تھی کہ ایک زمانہ میں ’زمیندار‘ اخبار میں ان کے فکاہات اور’انقلاب‘ اخبار میں ان کے’’افکاروحوداث‘‘پنجاب میں گھر گھر بڑے شوق اوردلچسپی سے پڑھے جاتے تھے اوراخبار کھولتے ہی لوگ سب سے پہلے یہی چیزیں پڑھتے تھے۔غلام رسول مہر کی طرح مرحوم بھی مولانا ظفر علی خاں کے خاص تربیت یافتہ تھے۔اردوزبان کے محاورات و امثال پر بڑا عبور رکھتے تھے اوراس وصف خاص میں استاد سے بھی سبقت لے گئے تھے۔ انھوں نے مہر صاحب کے رفیق کی حیثیت سے اردو صحافت کاایک ایسامعیار قائم کیا کہ آج بھی بہت سے اخبارات انھی کے نقش قدم پر چل رہے ہیں۔
اردو زبان کے بلند پایہ ادیب اورصحافی ہونے کے علاوہ بے تکلف اورفی البدیہہ شعر بھی کہتے تھے اوریہ غالباً مولانا ظفر علی خاں کی صحبت ہی کافیض تھا۔اب ادھر چند برسوں سے سنجیدہ تصنیف وتالیف کی طرف متوجہ ہوگئے تھے۔چنانچہ اس سلسلہ میں ان کی دوکتابیں’’ذکر اقبال‘‘اور’’ہندوستانی مسلمانوں کی تاریخ ثقافت‘‘، جس پر برہان میں تبصرہ بھی ہوچکاہے، بڑی اچھی کتابیں ہیں۔طبعاً مرحوم بھی بڑے خندہ جبیں،خندہ رو، اورفرخندہ شمائل انسان تھے۔مزاج میں اعتدال پسندی اور میانہ روی تھی یہاں تک کہ سیاسیات میں بھی اُن کامسلک معتدل ہی رہا۔وہ اردو کے ان چند خوش نصیب اخبار نویسوں میں تھے جنھوں نے محض اپنے قلم سے شہرت بھی خوب حاصل کی اوردولت بھی کافی کمائی۔ حضرت الاستاذ مولانا سید محمد انور شاہ صاحب الکشمیریؒ سے بڑی عقیدت اور محبت رکھتے تھے اوراسی تعلق سے راقم الحروف کے ساتھ ہمیشہ بڑے خلوص اورمحبت سے پیش آتے تھے۔تقسیم ہند کے...

Communication development has made the world a global village. The modern and art education is lasting in this era. Due to this interacting atmosphere of epistemic collaboration takes place. Hence, only international seminars and interfaith dialogues are considered to be the meaningful. Quran as the root source of seerah explained by various interpreters according to their knowledge taste. Imam addalji (died  947 A.H) also interpreted verses of seerah   as well as “al-Shifa̅” text in his famous manuscript (“al-Istif a̅’ libaya̅n Ma ̒ a̅ni̅ al-Shifa̅”) in pure cognitive contents. The following research paper reviews the discussions of cognitive contents described under the interpretation of ayat al majeah and rahmat in his Manuscript. The main objective is to focus the reality that Quran is not against the art education in Fact Quran in itself has a very deep educational and artistic values. They can please the research keenness of  human intellectual capacity in best way.

Improving the Teaching of Writing Narratives at Lower Secondary Level in Private School of Karachi

This study aims to improve the teaching of writing narratives in an English language classroom. By using a qualitative method and a collaborative action research, the study was conducted in a private school in Karachi, Pakistan. In this study, the primary research participant was an English language teacher who was teaching English language at lower secondary level. There were five students who were the secondary research participants of the study. Their work was analyzed to see whether there was any improvement in their written narratives that was taught by both researcher and the research participant. In our English language classrooms, teaching of writing is done in a very traditional manner where teachers focus to product rather than the process of the writing. Teachers do not pay attention on writing and rewriting in order to improve the children's work. Mostly, the first draft of children's work is considered as final draft. Children encounter problems while writing because they are not provided with opportunities to develop their writing skills and they are often asked to write about topics which are not relevant to their lives. Thus, writing is best learnt in a natural setting with topics that are pertinent to their lives. Teachers need to provide a variety of experiences to children while teaching writing skills. The purpose of the study was to improve a teacher's teaching of writing narratives and to guide him/her to introduce above motioned strategy to make a shift from product to process of writing and thus, transform students into independent writers. For this study, reflective journal, observations and interviews were used to collect data. The teaching of writing narratives was found to be a useful activity as it builds practical and theoretical knowledge of the research participant. It was found that children best learnt to write when they are asked to write about topics that are relevant to their lives. Another observation was that the use of scenario to motivate children to write is less effective because it limits their creativity and they end up producing similar kind of texts. The use of writing frameworks and the steps of PA facilitate the teaching and learning of writing skills in an English language classroom. Furthermore, this study is significant for ELT in the context of Pakistan where writing, in English, is regarded as the most difficult skill among other teaching language skills.
