عبداللطیف تپش(۱۸۹۵ء ۔۱۹۴۳ئ) لاہور میں پیدا ہوئے۔ منشی فاضل اور بی۔اے کے امتحانات پاس کرنے کے بعد کچھ عرصہ پنجاب ہائی کورٹ میں ملازمت کی۔ پھر گورنمنٹ انٹر کالج پسرور ضلع سیالکوٹ میں علومِ شرقیہ کے استاد مقرر ہوئے۔ پسرور میں ملازمت کے دوران مزید تعلیم کے لیے مطالعے کو جاری رکھا اور ایم ۔اے فارسی کا امتحان ۱عزاز کے ساتھ پاس کیا۔اس امتحان میں تپشؔ یونیورسٹی بھر میں اول رہے ۔ (۴۱۶) تپشؔ کو شعرو شاعری سے حد سے زیادہ دلچسپی تھی۔ ان کے اوقاتِ تدریس بڑے دلکشا اور معلومات افزا ہوتے۔ کالج میں بزمِ ادب کی جان ہوا کرتے تھے۔ گورنمنٹ کالج پسرور میں قیام کے دوران متعدد ادبی مجالس اور مشاعروںکا مقصد طلبا کے ذوق کی نشوونما اور فروغ زبان اُردو تھا۔ جو بدرجہ اتم ہوا اور کئی طالب علم شاعر بن گئے۔ گورنمنٹ کالج پسرور میں ۴ مارچ ۱۹۳۲ء کو ابو الاثر حفیظ جالندھری تشریف لائے تو کالج کے وائس پرنسپل پروفیسر سراج الدین آذر نے کالج سٹاف کا تعارف کراتے ہوئے عبداللطیف تپشؔ کے بارے میں کہا :
یہ شاعر ہی نہیں شاعر گر بھی ہیں۔(۴۱۷)
تپشؔ کا شعر و شاعری کا ذوق جبلی تھا۔ انھیں سر عبدالقادر (مدیر مخزن) جیسی علمی و ادبی شخصیت کی دامادی کا شرف بھی حاصل تھا۔ جس کی وجہ سے آپ کے شعری ذوق کی بہت جلد اصلاح اور ترقی ہو گئی۔ تپش ؔ نے سر عبدالقادر کی علمی صحبتوں سے بصدِ رنگ استفادہ کیا لیکن آپ کی طبیعت نظم کی طرف مائل نہ ہو سکی۔ بلکہ آپ غزل ہی کے شائق و دلدادہ رہے۔ آپ شروع میں بہت پرگو اور مشکل شاعر تھے لیکن کثرتِ مشق سخن سے ان کے کلام میں سادگی و پرکاری آگئی۔ اُن کے کلام ہندوستان کے ممتاز ادبی رسائل و جرائد میں شائع ہوا کر تاتھا۔ (۴۱۸) آپ...

Computer Aided Instruction For Preschoolers In Mathematics

Computers are increasingly a part of pre-schoolers to professional lives. The use of multimedia in education has significantly changed people’s learning processes.  Computer technology holds promise for improving student performance and quality of teaching education program at all levels. Today, development has been rapid and technology has been acknowledged as an additional teaching tool. Results from a number of research studies indicate that appropriately designed multimedia instruction enhances students’ learning performance in mathematics, and literacy. The purpose of the present paper was to discuss research avenues employing computers as a learning tool and to analyse the results obtained by this method at the pre-schoolers learning level.

To Analyze Teachers Competencies and Teaching Practices of Physics Teachers at Higher Secondary Level in Sindh

Knowledge of science produce a great impact on our life style, way of thinking, and our behavior etc. a great change occurs in our outlook because of the influences, of scientific knowledge. Science has revolutionized the civilization. Science teaching is a most difficult task and everybody is not fit to be teacher, some person may have a flair for teaching and such person have the ability to awaken interest and catch the attention of the students. Hence teaching of science is an art of assisting another person to learn. The aims of teaching of science at the college level is to develop scientific attitude ,enhance the scientific and technological competence, encourage creativity and solve the problems confronted by the students in their day to day life both within and outside the college premises. Therefore the science teacher needs to know about the variety of learning approaches and use technology while teaching. The overall purpose of the study was to analyze teachers ‘competencies and teaching practices of Physics subject teachers at higher secondary level in Sindh. The study specifically analyzed the knowledge, skills, and behaviors of the Physics teachers with relation to subject command and implementation. The scope of study was limited to the college principals, teachers, students, and curriculum experts in the province of Sindh. Eight hypotheses were formulated and mixed research technique was adopted. All the principals’ Physics teachers and science students, were part of population .The population is large and heterogeneous therefore the stratified random sampling design was used. The questionnaires, interview protocols and observation checklist were the major instrument. Data was collected through the personal visits and analyzed by using inferential statistical technique along with the content analysis of the data. Concrete recommendations were made on the basis of findings.
