افسوس ہے کہ مصر کی ایک بہت بڑی ہستی سے دنیا خالی ہوگئی، عبدالحمید سعیدبے مصر کے ان جواں مردوں میں تھے جو مصر چھوڑ کر یورپ میں رہ پڑے تھے اور یہ عہد کرلیا تھا کہ جب تک مصر آزاد نہ ہولے گا وہ مصر کی زمین میں قدم نہیں رکھیں گے، مصر اور انگلستان کے گزشتہ معاہدہ کے بعد وہ مصر واپس آئے تھے، میری ان کی ملاقات ۱۹۲۰؁ء میں وفد خلافت کے دوسرے ارکان کے ساتھ اٹلی کے پایۂ تخت رومہ میں ہوئی تھی، وہ اپنے قدوقامت اور ڈیل ڈول کے لحاظ سے شوکت علی مرحوم سے ملتے جلتے تھے اور انہی کی طرح قومی و مذہبی جوش و خروش سے بھرے ہوئے تھے ایک بہت موٹا ڈنڈا جس کے موٹھ میں اہرام مصری کی شکل بنی ہوئی تھی، اپنے ہاتھ میں رکھتے تھے، انہوں نے اس وقت تک شادی نہیں کی تھی، کہتے تھے کہ غلاموں کی تعداد بڑھانے سے فائدہ کیا۔
وہ پہلے بالکل وطن پرور یا نیشنلسٹ تھے، مگر مصر آنے کے بعد ان کے حالات میں ایک نیا تغیر ہوا، انہوں نے عالمگیر اسلامی برادری (پین اسلامزم) کی تحریک مصر کے نوجوانوں میں شروع کی، انجمن شبان المسلمین کی بنیاد ڈالی، اس کی شاخیں مصر کے اطراف میں پھیلائیں اور اس کی کوشش کی کہ دنیائے اسلام کے دوسرے حصوں میں اس کی شاخیں قائم ہوں چنانچہ بمبئی میں اس کی ایک شاخ قائم ہے۔ چند سال ہوئے کہ انہوں نے اپنی محبت سے مصر کی شبان المسلمین کا ممبر خاکسار کو بھی بنایا جامع ازہر کی طرف سے جو وفد ہندوستان آیا تھا اس کے ایک رکن انجمن شبان المسلمین کے بھی نمائندہ تھے اور مقصد یہ تھا کہ مصر و ہندوستان کی اسلامی برادریوں میں تعلقات مضبوط کئے جائیں۔

Education play main role in modern society and main purpose of education is to create a society characterized by holiness and reconciliation so that society is filled with a spirit of sympathy, sadness and good will. In no time has the usefulness of education and its spirituality been devalued. Education is recognized as a symbol of the greatness the living nations and civilized society.  Educated society reflects patience humble, grateful, fear and the most important habit such as determination and become an integral part of life. Even the educated society is considered to be a true pioneer of courage and human values. Education plays a positive role in empowering the weakest society. On the other hand educated people can think of the happiness and the well-being of humanity due to the light knowledge and their sincere efforts when working in this society so of course this will directly benefit those who are weak and ignorant in the society and the key to maximizing humanity. The light of education should also go to homes that are deprived of wealth and helplessness. It also means abiding by the law showing respect to women and helping the weak. Controlling bad temper and language being polite and following proper etiquette in a gathering is also part of good social behavior. In short good social behavior is living decently, peacefully, and with dignity among others without hurting or disturbing them. Good social behavior helps us live amicably in our society. It promotes good will and understanding among people and cultivates a clean, healthy environment for all citizens

Violence Against Women: A Study of Reinforcement of Honour Killing in the Socio-Cultural Context in Punjab

This research study examined the deep rooted prevalence of the violence against women in the form of honour killings in Punjab and its overall association with the role of various socio-cultural institutions, such as, the Law-Executors, i.e., the police force, judiciary and lawyers; the Law-Makers, i.e., politicians and the religious leaders in re-enforcing this customary practice. This research explored as to how the Direct, Structural and Cultural violence affects the criminal justice system in Punjab which further augments the gender discrimination in Pakistan. Moreover, it also incorporated perceptions of the female victim survivors of honour killings about the practice. The theoretical perspective of Johan Galtung (1969, 1990) in the context of Direct, Structural and Cultural violence and its relevance to the Law-Making and the Law-Executing functionaries in the society and finally to honour murders in the Punjab province served as the theoretical framework. The qualitative method was used to get the in-depth information about the subjective experiences and perceptions of various institutional functionaries and the female victim survivors. By employing a purposive sampling, comprising of five representatives from each of the institutions of judiciary, police force, lawyers, politicians and religious leaders, along with three female victim survivors, data were taken from the largest province of Punjab. A subject-focused interview guide was developed for conducting the in-depth interviews and the Interpretative phenomenological approach (IPA) was used to analyze the semi-structured interviews of various participants. This study discussed the justice approach to honour killings, lack of effective law enforcement and the failure of the criminal justice system in combating the honour killing practice. The present exploratory study offered the vital inputs for policy makers and activists for analysis and standardization of relevant criminal legislation which can further lead to significant criminal legislation about such honour crimes.
