قفانبک من ذکریٰ حبیب و منزل
نواب الحاج مولوی عبیدالرحمن خان شروانی کئی برس سے علیل تھے۔ ان کی زندگی کے معمولات میں فرق آگیا تھا، کمیٹیوں میں شرکت کے لیے سفر سے معذور ہوگئے تھے۔ بڑھاپے اور عمر طبعی کو پہنچ جانے کی وجہ سے ضعف و نقاہت میں اضافہ ہورہا تھا۔ راقم کو گذشتہ سال دو بار عیادت و زیارت کی سعادت میسر آئی تھی۔ اور دونوں دفعہ بڑھتی ہوئی کمزوری اور معذوری کو دیکھ کر خیال ہوا تھا کہ یہ چراغ سحر بجھا ہی چاہتا ہے۔ بالآخر ۸؍ مئی کو صاحبزادہ والاتبار پروفیسر ریاض الرحمن خان شروانی کے تار سے یہ المناک خبر آہی گئی جس نے پھر اس ارشاد ربانی کی ایک بار تصدیق و توثیق کردی کہ کل من علیھا فان[الرحمن: ۲۶]۔
دارالمصنفین کی بنا و تاسیس میں علامہ شبلیؒ اور ان کے متعدد اعزہ کی طرح نواب مولوی عبیدالرحمن خان شروانی کے خاندان کا بھی بڑاحصہ تھا۔ ان کے والد ماجد نواب صدر یار جنگ بہادر مولانا حبیب الرحمن خان شروانی مرحوم علامہ شبلی کے حبیب لبیب تھے۔ جب علامہ کے دل و دماغ پر دارالمصنفین ہی کا خیال چھایا رہتا تھا تو اس کے متعلق سب سے زیادہ انھی سے مراسلت و مکاتبت رہتی تھی۔ علامہ شبلی کی وفات کے بعد یہی رابط و تعلق دارالمصنفین کی جانب منتقل ہوگیا تھا جس کے مدۃ العمر وہ رکن رکین اور صدر نشین رہے، دارالمصنفین کے پہلے صدر جسٹس مولوی کرامت حسین اور دوسرے نواب عماد الملک اور تیسرے مولانا حبیب الرحمن خاں شروانی ہوئے، مولانا حمیدالدین فراہی کی وفات کے بعد ۱۹۳۱؁ء میں وہی اس کی مجلس ارکان کے بھی صدر بنے، دوسروں سے علامہ کے تعلقات میں اتار چڑھاؤ ہوتا رہا لیکن ایک نواب صدر یار جنگ ہی کی ایسی ذات تھی جن سے عمر بھر...

Correlation Between Internal and External Assessment at University Level: Acase Study of I. E. R, University of Peshawar

Abstract: Evaluation is the backbone of our education system. It is one of the important factors of the three pillars of our education system. The three pillars are: educational objectives, teaching learning process and evaluation or assessment. Assessment, scores or grades are one of the factors of the main concern for the students of any academic programme. The present study is aimed to investigate the correlation between the internal and external assessment of Master of Education (M. Ed) examination of the students of Institute of Education & Research (I.E.R), University of Peshawar. In total all 200 students of university of Peshawar who appeared in the M. Ed. Annual examinations were taken as a sample being convenient to the researcher. The data was obtained from the Examination section of the University of Peshawar. The data so obtained was then analyzed through SPSS and it was concluded that both the Internal and External assessments were correlated. The implications were discussed. Role of School Leadership in Enhancing Home-School Relationships in a Community School in Karachi, Pakistan

The school leadership (principal, head teacher) plays a key role in the overall development of the school. Hence, strengthening home-school relationship (HSR) is also one of the major responsibilities of the school leaders. In order to explore how this role is played, the study was conducted to find out the answer of the question, what is the role of school leadership in enhancing home-school relationships in the school?' The research was conducted in the qualitative paradigm using a case study method at a community school in Karachi, Pakistan. In order to enhance home-school relationship, the practices carried out in the school are: parent-teacher meetings, individual meetings with parents, and general meetings with parents. Moreover, parents and teachers seem to be enthusiastic in sharing school matters in their informal interactions even in community gatherings. Beside these practices, school leadership takes many other initiatives. For example, it has started to share students' achievements with parents instead of always calling them to discuss issues. In addition, Headmaster and Section Heads have developed a web' by providing their mobile numbers to all the parents and responding to them whenever they call. The main conclusion of the study could be that school leadership has a vital role in the enhancement of home-school relationship, and it has created ways for the other stakeholders to play their roles in a friendly atmosphere. Parents and teachers realize their roles in relation to the development of the children, not only academically but also socially and morally.
