ڈاکٹر رادھا کرشنن گزشتہ ماہ اس دار فانی کو چھوڑ گئے، علم و فن کے فروغ دینے میں ان کا نام رابندرناتھ ٹیگور، جسے۔ سی۔ بوس۔، اور سی۔ وی۔ رمن جیسی قدآور شخصیتوں کے ساتھ لیا جائے گا ان کی وفات سے اس ملک میں بیسویں صدی کا ایک زریں علمی عہد ختم ہوگیا۔
وہ ہندو ادب کے بہت بڑے شارح تھے، فلسفہ میں بھی ان کا علم بہت گہرا تھا، اس لئے ہندو مذاہب کے عقائد و تفکرات میں فلسفیانہ موشگافی کرتے رہے، وہ گسان جیمس وارڈ، ولیم جیمس اور برٹنڈ رسل کے فلسفے سے متاثر تھے، تو خود ان کی علمی گہرائی اور فلسفیانہ ژرف نگاہی کا اعتراف طامسن من اور ایچ جی۔ ویلس جیسے مشاہیر نے کیا، کلکتہ، میسور اور مدارس کی یونیورسٹیوں میں استاد رہنے کے بعد آکسفورڈ یونیورسٹی کے بھی پروفیسر رہے، اندھرا اور بنارس یونیورسٹیوں کے وائس چانسلر بھی بنائے گئے، بیرونی ممالک نے بھی مختلف قسم کے اعزاز اور انعامات سے نوازا جس سے ہندوستان کی عظمت و فضیلت میں بھی اضافہ ہوا، ان کی متعدد تصانیف میں ایک کتاب ’’مذہب کی حکومت جدید فلسفہ‘‘ پر ہے جس میں دکھایا گیا ہے کہ جدید فلسفہ خود مذاہب سے متاثر ہے، وہ بڑے خوش بیان اور باوقار مقرر بھی تھے بولتے تو معلوم ہوتا کہ فضا میں سیم وزر کی آواز کھنک رہی ہے اسی کے ساتھ سامعین محسوس کرتے کہ ان سے اخلاق اور روحانیت کا پیام مل رہا ہے۔

Islām is a religion of peace and it gives great importance to peace. Islamic teachings and laws are meant to create and maintain peace in the human society. But, unfortunately, Islām has been targeted as a source of terrorism, today. In this article, the author tries to defend Islām and differentiate between Jihād and terrorism. The word terrorism needs to be seen in its historical perspective. Different definitions of terrorism have been presented, but still it is an ambiguous term. In this paper, the author tries to define terrorism in the Islamic perspective. This paper discusses the points given below: m The concept of terrorism, its manifestations and types. M Encountering and prevention of terrorism from Islamic perspective. M Islām and the global brotherhood. M The punishment of terrorism. M The religious viewpoint against a cruel government. M The peaceful struggle against cruelty and injustice. Also, the difference between terrorism and jihad has been clarified. The rules and regulations of Jihād make it clear that it has nothing to do with terrorism, which is an unruly activity. A Muslim is supposed to be a peaceful citizen, who can never indulge in any act of terrorism. The rebellion against the rulers has also been discussed to draw the conclusion that it is not allowed except against the blatant kufr. The objectives of the Islamic punishments indicate the Islamic approach to minimize terrorism in the human society.
This research was conducted to find out the impact of microfinance programs, in the context of Islamic banking. To achieve this objective, a sample of one hundred (100) respondents was chosen randomly, which consists of highly qualified employees working in financial organizations, such as the top management of these organizations. Four types of variables were examined in the data collection process. The first type was dependent variables that included transformation of the Microfinance institutions and the Islamic financial institutions. Holistic time frame, coordination among groups and resources were acting as Moderating variables. The third set of variables examined was the intervening variables. Intervening variables included growth model of microfinance and Islamic banking practices. The last set of variables, which included the accounting practices used by these organizations, conventional banking, microfinance institutions and the awareness level in the community, are considered as independent variables. The results show that, time span of organization in Islamic banking, organizational success, offerings of microfinance services and the reasons for not exploring their potential in microfinance are all significant in their effects. Similarly the necessity of awareness programs, technological change, assistance from other MFIs, designing new accounting procedures are all statistically significant in its effect. Moreover, the impact of microfinance under the Islamic banking on improving the poor’s standard of living, equitable distribution of wealth and increasing employment opportunities are statistically significant. Similarly, integrating IMF within Islamic banking operations is also found to be statistically significant in its effect, because both have the same guiding rules. Similarly training and capacity building program were found significant, for the success of Islamic banking. Further results of the study show that less number of the people is trained in this respect. It is recommended to train the existing and future employees for success of IMF and integrate IB & MF, which will also help in equitable distribution of wealth in the society. xviiKey words: Islamic Banking (IB), Microfinance (MF), Islamic Microfinance (IMF), Conventional Banking, Organizational transformation, Training and Capacity building.
