۳۰/جنوری۱۹۴۸ء کو گاندھی جی کے دردناک حادثۂ قتل کے بعد ۳۱/ اکتوبر ۱۹۸۴ء کووزیراعظم شریمتی اندراگاندھی کااپنے ہی حفاظتی دستہ کے دوظالم و سفاک نوجوانوں کی گولیوں کی بوچھار کا شکار ہوکرہلاک ہوجانا آزادی کے بعد سے اب تک وہ دوسرا نہایت الم ناک اوردردناک حادثہ ہے جس نے ملک وقوم میں دردوکرب اورشدت غم کی لہردوڑادی ہے، حقیقت یہ ہے کہ جب اندرا گورنمنٹ نے دربار صاحب امرتسر میں فوج بھیجنے کا اقدام کیاتھا ہمارا ماتھا اسی وقت ٹھنکا تھاکہ اب خیر نہیں ہے، کیونکہ جہاں تک خالصتان کے مطالبہ کاتعلق ہے وہ ایک خالص سیاسی معاملہ تھا اوراس لیے سکھوں میں ایک طبقہ ایسابھی تھا جو خالصتان کامخالف تھا لیکن دربار صاحب میں فوج کاداخلہ خالص ایک مذہبی معاملہ تھاجس پرسب سکھ متفق ہوگئے خواہ وہ خالصتان کے حامی ہوں یا نہ ہوں۔
ایک نفسیاتی اصول ہے کہ جب مذہبی جذبات بھڑکتے ہیں توانسان دیوانہ ہوجاتا ہے اوراس وقت وہ یہ نہیں سوچتا کہ جو کچھ ہوا ہے اس میں خود اس کی کم نظری یا غفلت کودخل ہے یا نہیں۔اس کے عتاب اورغضب کانشانہ صرف وہ شخص یا جماعت ہوتی ہے جس نے اس کے مذہبی جذبات کوبھڑکایا ہے، چنانچہ وہی ہوا جس کاہمیں اندیشہ پہلے سے تھا اورملک اندراگاندھی جیسی محبوب اورہر دلعزیز شخصیت سے محروم ہوگیا۔
اندراگاندھی کی ہر دلعزیزی اوران کی قائدانہ شخصیت کا ثبوت اس سے بڑھ کرکیا ہوسکتا ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ الیکشن میں اس طرح شکست کھاجانے کے بعد کہ ان کا اوران کی پارٹی کانام ونشان مٹ گیا اورملک میں جنتا گورنمنٹ قائم ہوگئی اس وقت بھی انھوں نے ہمت نہیں ہاری، حالانکہ ان کی مختلف طریقوں سے تذلیل کی گئی اوران کی توہین میں کوئی دقیقہ فروگذاشت نہیں کیاگیا۔ وہ اپنی تقریروں میں برابر یہ کہتی رہیں کہ جنتا گورنمنٹ بھانت بھانت کے...
Najeeb Al-Kailani is a famous Egyptian Islamic writer. He was immensely impressed by Iqbal’s philosophy. He was absorbed in the study of Islamic literature in the early days of his life and dared to write many articles in various magazines, touching various aspects of Iqbal’s poetry. Al-Kailani then by maintaining his interest in Iqbal’s poetry, was compelled to write the book entitled إقبال الشاعر الثائر"”, (Iqbal, the Revolutionary poet). He was awarded with prize by ministry of education and training, and in 1977 President of Pakistan General Muhammad Ziaul haq awarded him gold medal. This article highlighted the impact of Allama Muhammad Iqbal in al-Kailani’ book and analyzed its text by refereeing it to the original poetry of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. This article concluded that Kailani’s book is finest and comprehensive book, which demonstrated the life and philosophy of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
This study intended to investigate the behavior of human as an investor by capturing and envisioning the reasons for stock market participation. It examines the impact of investor‟s personality and emotional quotient on stock market participation. This study add to existing body of literature by investigating the moderating impact of financial sophistication, trading experience and gender between investor‟s personality emotional quotient and stock market participation. The study was cross sectional with time lag data collection, used multiple regressions and archival research methodology. Andrew Hayes Process was operationalize to measure the moderating relationships among the variables. The use of regression and Andrew Hayes Process helped to empirically test and validate the research hypotheses. The study finds that there was positive impact of extroversion and openness to experience on stock market participation. On the basis of literature it was hypothesized that there was negative relationship between conscientiousness, agreeableness, neuroticism and stock market participation. The statistical results also validate and extended the support for the proposed hypothesis. It was also hypothesized that there is positive impact of motivation and self-awareness on stock market participation. Statistical results demonstrated positive impact of motivation on stock market 3 participation. While results for self-awareness were counter to the expectation and showed negative association with stock market participation. The study concludes that financial literacy, trading experience and gender can modify the relationship between some basic personality traits and stock market participation. It showed that, on the one hand, behavior finance is not completely predetermined by one‟s DNA, on the other, it also points out exactly what other traits that are not so influenced by financial literacy, trading experience and gender. Perhaps this implies that these traits are more predetermined by one‟s innate characteristics. The current study has used quantitative data for analysis, using qualitative interviews to gather more improved information would be an addition in the literature with influence of family resource management theory. The study has implications for policy makers and government at micro and macro level. The present study provides valuable insights and protection to vulnerable groups by exploring the financial behavior of individuals in case of financial planning and investments. Study provides interdisciplinary contribution by extending the usefulness of Big Five taxonomy and establishing personality as a viable approach with respect to stock market participation. The results of the study are in line with the Western settings and can be well generalized to the Pakistani settings.
