میں شام کی اداس پگڈنڈی پر دن بھر کے تھکے سورج کی مانند بیٹھا تھا
’’کیوں ‘‘۔۔۔۔۔ ’’کس لیے‘‘
میں اپنے وجود کی نفی کے بارے میں سوچ رہا تھا
منتشر خیالات کا سیلِ رواں رگوں میں محو ِ گردش تھا
ذہن تاریک جھونپڑے کی مانند آزاردہ تھا
شوریدہ سری میری بینائی نگل چکی تھی
میں تصورات کے پتھروںسے ٹھوکریں کھاتا ہوا
اس جھونپڑے میں جا پہنچا جہاں کبھی زندگی ہار دی تھی
اچانک ایک ٹھوکر سے بینائی بحال ہو گئی
Islam is the religion of peace as is evident from the very meaning of the word Islam which is derived from root word \" salam\" meaning peace and obedience. The advent of Islam has been a pannaca for all humanity and, ever since its inception, it has the distinction of contributing more and more to the betterment and progress of humanity. Its statute is crystal clear over all religions and systems. But unfortunately, there has been a systematic campaign to present Islam as a religion of violence. The orientalists who tend to misinterpret Islam by relying on some injunctions without looking into their specific context. The international media, under the influence of Jews, is also spreading a false propaganda. Moreover, certain elements with in Islamic world are also providing ample opportunity for the same. In such circumstances there is a dire need to present the true spirit of Islam but such attempts are lacking in the Muslim world despite that it is one of the major concern, This research paper is an attempt to present Islam in its true spirit in light of holy Quran and Sunnah. It is hoped that it would pave way for further research in the field.
Despite the significant contribution of the elite private schools' in educating the elite of our societies, commonly, there is very little understanding of their defining characteristics among parents is that elite private schools are (i) privately owned (ii) they have very high fee structure (iii) and are located in posh areas. In the broader sense, it has mostly stayed out of the educationalists, researchers and policy makers' sight on understanding its exact features in the developing contexts. This study has explored the defining characteristics of an elite private school in the context of Karachi. The main aim of this study was to have a greater in-depth understanding of elite private schools and what makes an elite school elite. To gain this understanding regarding elite private school, the main stakeholders of the school have been interviewed, observed and the school documents have been reviewed and analyzed through the qualitative case study method. The main finding of this study revealed that each one of the stakeholders' characteristics contributes in making elite private school 'elite'. Furthermore, the locality of the school and the facilities that are provided for the students and teachers also significantly contribute to the 'elite' status of the school.
