آل انڈیا مسلم لیگ کے صدر سید عبدالرحمن با فقیہ تھنگل مرحوم کی وفات قومی و ملی حادثہ ہے، اور ان کی موت اس لحاظ سے ہر مسلمان کے لیے قابل رشک ہے کہ حج سے فراغت کے بعد وہ سعودی عربیہ کے دارالحکومت ریاض گئے تھے، وہیں ایک مختصر علالت کے بعد انتقال کیا، حرم محترم میں نماز جنازہ پڑھی گئی اور مکہ معظمہ کی سرزمین میں سپرد خاک کیے گئے، اس طرح گناہوں سے پاک و صاف ہوکر لبیک کہتے ہوئے اپنے رب کے حضور میں حاضر ہوگئے۔

تھنگل مرحوم اگر چہ مسلم لیگ کے صدر تھے لیکن ملکی قومی خدمات میں بھی ان کا قدم پیچھے نہ تھا، اس لیے بلا تفریق مذہب و ملت سب ان کو مانتے تھے، اور ان کی موت پر جنوبی ہند کے ہندو مسلمان دونوں نے یکساں ماتم اور ان کی موت کو قومی نقصان تصور کیا، ارض مقدس میں ان کی موت خود مغفرت کا ذریعہ ہے ،اﷲ تعالیٰ ان کے مدارج بلند فرمائے۔ (شاہ معین الدین ندوی، فروری ۱۹۷۳ء)
There are countless cases of cruelty and abuse of animals in the present era which are not mentioned in Islamic law, It is a pity that most of these atrocities are taking place in the so-called civilized western countries. However, it is heartening to see that the protest against the cruel exploitation by many western animal rights activists is well organized and it is hoped that this will eventually prevail and the animals will be given their due legitimate rights will remain together. What is worrying is that the developing countries, most of which are Islamic countries, have begun to follow their Western masters. They use the West's (Intensive Farming Methods) pesticides, which are harmful to humans and animals and do more harm to the environment than benefit crops, and lead to millions of animals being traded, exported or Similarly, the experiments that are done with reference to new products that are behind the maximum profit and follow them in the form of other similar luxuries. This article describes instructional teachings offered by Islam in such matters, which are very helpful and useful in raising awareness.
The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship of academic achievement with social anxiety and self-esteem in male and female school students. Social anxiety and self-esteem are common psychological problems. Research findings show that persons with social anxiety report poor employment performance reduced social interaction and difficulties in school life. More over self-esteem has been found to be positively related with academic achievement. So it was hypothesized that educational achievement is negatively correlated with social anxiety and positively correlated with self-esteem. The sample for the study consisted of 551 boys and 449 girls of 9th class. The sample was taken by using stratified random sampling technique from the high schools of city district Lahore. Academic achievement was measured by a valid achievement test, especially developed for this purpose. SmajiIztrabkaPaimana that is an adapted Urdu version of Interaction Anxiousness Scale (Leary, 1983) was used to assess the intensity of social anxiety. Qadr- e- ZaatkaPaimana (adapted Urdu version of Rosenberg self-esteem scale) was used to assess the self-esteem of the students. A series of t tests, Pearson product moment correlation, regression analysis and one way ANOVA were used for statistical analysis of the data. The results show that academic achievement has positive relationship with self-esteem and negative relationship with social anxiety. Self esteem has negative relationship with social anxiety. Female students performed better than male students on academic achievement test. However the boys have higher level of self-esteem and lower level of social anxiety as compared to the female students. Parents’ education and monthly income of family has positive relationship with academic achievement and negative relationship with social anxiety.
