مولانا حکیم برکات احمد صاحب بہاری ٹونکی
پچھلے مہینہ ایک اور فاضل زمانہ نے اپنی جگہ خالی کردی، یکم ربیع الاول ۱۳۴۷ھ کو استاد الوقت مولانا حکیم برکات احمد صاحب بہاری ٹونکی نے وفات پائی، مرحوم اس عہد کے ان یگانہ اساتذہ میں تھے، جن کے حلقہ درس نے سینکڑوں کاملین فن پیدا کئے، جناب عبداﷲ صاحب ٹونکی کی طرح مرحوم کا خاندان بھی بہار سے ٹونک جاکر آباد ہوا تھا، یہ پندہ برس مولانا عبدالحق خیرآبادی کی صحبت میں رہ کر علوم عقلیہ و حکمیہ میں سرآمد روزگار بنے تھے، ساتھ ہی علم حدیث اور علوم دینیہ کا فیض قاضی محمد ایوب بھوپال سے حاصل کیا تھا، والی ٹونک انکی پوری قدر دانی فرماتے تھے اور ان کو اپنی ریاست کا فخر سمجھتے تھے، دور دور سے طلبہ آکر ان کے حلقۂ تعلیم میں شریک ہوتے تھے اور کامیاب ہوکر واپس جاتے تھے، افسوس کہ یہ سرچشمۂ فیض ہمیشہ کے لئے خشک ہوگیا، ’’رحمۃ اﷲ وبرکاتہ‘‘ ۱۳۴۷ھ تاریخ وفات جس نے نکالی ہے اس پر بھی خدا کی رحمت، رحمۃ اﷲ وبرکاتہ علیہ۔
مرحوم کی بعض فلسفیانہ تصنیفات شائع ہوئی ہیں، مشہور تصانیف حسب ذیل ہیں:
انہارؔ اربعہ تصوف میں، القولؔ الضابط فی تحقیق الوجود الرابط، امامؔ الکلام فی تحقیق الاجسام، فلسفہ میں، حاشیہ برحاشیہ خیر آبادی، برحاشیہ شرح مواقف کلام میں، حاشیہ برجامع ترمذی، حدیث میں، مرحوم نہ صرف اپنے علم و فضل میں، بلکہ اپنے محاسن اخلاق میں بھی پرانے بزرگوں کی شان رکھتے تھے، کتب بینی کا یہ عالم تھا کہ وہ رات بھی جس میں ان کی وفات ہوئی مطالعہ سے ناغہ نہ گئی، نوجوان دنیا ان بوڑھے بزرگوں کی مثال پیدا نہ کرسکے گی۔ (سید سلیمان ندوی،ستمبر ۱۹۲۸ء)
Objective: To determine the effect of static stretching of hamstring muscle on the non-specific low back pain.
Methodology: A Quasi-Experimental study was conducted in Rabia Moon Institute of Neurology which total 30 participants were included through non-probability purposive sampling. Thirty participants were selected who fulfilled our inclusion criteria, they were divided into two groups; group A or treatment group received conventional physiotherapy treatment as well a static stretching exercise protocol for 5 days. Group B or control group received conventional physiotherapy treatment only. VAS (Visual analog scale) and Oswestry Disability questionnaire, SFGD (Standing Finger to ground Distance,) PSLR (passive straight leg raise) for both legs were measured pre- and post-treatment.
Result: A total of 30 patients aged 20-55 were included in the study. Mean age of the participants was found to be 37.88 years. The difference in means of all the assessment parameters pre and post-treatment for both groups were analyzed through paired t-test. There was a significant improvement in VAS, SFGD, Passive Straight leg Raise PSLR (right leg), PSLR (left leg) and level of disability pre- and post-treatment in the treatment group.
Conclusion: This present study concluded that static stretching of hamstrings is effective in decreasing non-specific low back pain.
Phosphorus (P) fertilizer use efficiency is only 15 % in calcareous alkaline soils as in Pakistan. Sulfur oxidizing bacteria (SOB) especially Thiobacillus spp. solubilize the unavailable P in soil by synthesizing sulfuric acid. This study was performed in three steps: (i) screening of SOB from different microbial ecologies, (ii) use of different SOB with S levels for enhancing bio-available P, and (iii) effect of SOB along with P fertilizer and S on plant growth and yield. Sulfur oxidizing bacteria were isolated, screened, identified and the most efficient SOB were found as the genus Thiobacillus in sulfur based ecologies such as industrial wastewater, sewerage water and sulfur mud. These SOB isolates were IW1, SW2, SS1, IW13, IW14, IW16 and SM1 which reduced the pH of different media (thiosulphate, tricalcium phosphate and rock phosphate) in 07 to 40 days after inoculation. Four Thiobacillus isolates viz., IW16, SW2, IW1 and IW14 were inoculated in soil with three S levels 50, 37.5 and 25 mg kg-1. Thiobacillus spp. IW16 and SW2 reduced soil pH with 50 mg S kg-1 from 7.90 to 7.12 and 7.28 respectively. Similarly, Thiobacillus strain IW16 in combination with 50 mg S kg-1 reduced CaCO3 contents from 7.14 to 6.93 % and solubilized Ca8-P and Ca10- P. Increase in the concentration of sparingly soluble Ca2-P (20.33 mg kg-1) and xvii bioavailable P contents (net increase of 22.26 mg kg-1) were also recorded as a result of P solubilization phenomenon. Lastly field experiments were conducted on two permanent lay outs (plot size 3 m × 3 m) at two different places growing for rice-wheat and maize-maize crops. The best Thiobacillus isolates (IW16 and SW2) along with 100 kg S ha-1 were inoculated in combination with two doses of P fertilizer viz., 45 and 90 kg P2O5 ha . Significant increase in the concentration of bio-available P in soil was recorded through bacterial S oxidation in both experiments. Growth and yield parameters of the tested crops (rice, wheat and maize) exhibited positive significant correlation with P solubilization through S oxidation by Thiobacilli with the highest values by strain IW16 along with 100 kg S ha-1. Interaction between Thiobacillus spp. and S was highly significant in enhancing the growth and yield of crops. Treatment of soil with Thiobacilli and S was the best practice for enhancing bioavailability of P already present as fixed P in huge quantity.
