یہ خبر انتہائی افسوس کے ساتھی سنی جائے گی کہ مولانا محمد اکبر ندوی سابق ریڈر شعبہ عربی و فارسی کلکتہ یونیورسٹی ۱۵؍ رمضان المبارک ۱۴۰۰؁ھ کو صبح کے وقت ۳۰:۹ بجے اس دار فانی سے عالم جاودانی کو سدھارے۔ اناﷲ وَانا اِلیہ رَاجعُون۔ ان کی وفات سے مغربی بنگال میں عربی زبان کے ایک ممتاز ادیب ایک مستند عالم دین اور استادوں کے استاد کی جگہ خالی ہوگئی۔ راقم الحروف کے لیے ذاتی طور پر یہ حادثہ ایک بہت بڑا سانحہ ہے کیونکہ ان کی موت کے بعد اس کے اساتذہ میں اب کوئی زندہ نہیں رہا۔ اس کے مدرسہ، اسکول کالج اور یونیورسٹی کے استاد سب کے سب اﷲ کو پیارے ہوگئے۔ اس کی علمی رہنمائی کے لئے ایک آخری شمع رہ گئی تھی، موت نے اسے بھی چھین لیا۔
مولانا محمد اکبر ندوی کا وطن مالوف ناگپور تھا۔ مگر عرصہ سے ترک وطن کرکے کلکتے میں مقیم تھے۔ ان کی اعلیٰ تعلیم دارالعلوم ندوۃ العلماء میں ہوئی تھی، وہ مولانا مسعود عالم ندوی مرحوم کے ہم جماعت تھے، طالب علمی کے زمانے میں ان کی عربی خطابت اور عربی انشاء ندوہ میں مشہور تھی۔ فرماتے تھے کہ طلبہ کے ایک جلسے میں ان کی ایک عربی تقریر علامہ سید سلیمان ندویؒ کو اس قدر پسند آئی کہ انھوں نے جیب خاص سے انعام مرحمت فرمایا۔ عربی انشاء پردازی میں مسعود عالم صاحب سے ٹکر ہوتی تھی، ندوہ سے فراغت پاکر کلکتہ آگئے، اور اسلامیہ کالج سے بی۔ اے کیا۔ پھر کلکتہ یونیورسٹی سے عربی اور فارسی دونوں میں ایم اے کی ڈگری لی، اور ڈاکٹر محمد زبیر صدیقی مرحوم کے ارشد تلامذہ میں شمار ہونے لگے۔

A) not only preserved his verbal instructions, dictatedwords, silent approvals, and actions of their beloved Prophet (ﷺ) but theyalso preserved his (ﷺ) gestures and body language. This paper discussesthe Gestures of the Holy Prophet with special reference to their virtual andvisual interpretations. The purpose of this research is to critically analyzethe Gestures of the Holy prophet and their importance in communicatingthe message to the audience. The method used for this research paper isdescriptive and analytical. The analysis of the prophetic traditions revealed(صلى الله عليه وسلم) Prophet where Hadith in examples significant been have there thatused the gestures to explain his words and thoughts which helped inconveying the message. Visual explanations and diagrams of some of thegestures have also been included in the article to explore and highlight theirsignificance. This article reveals that use of gestures is helpful incommunicating the message to the audience, and this aspect of Sīrah mustbe utilized during interactive sessions and verbal discussions. Furthermore, current research paper recommends that adequate body language andGestures are the vital means of teaching, tablīgh, and successfulcommunication in the light of Sīrah studies.

Production of Xylooligosaccharides from Agricultural Wastes for Preparation of Syniobotic Food

Xylooligosaccharides (XOs) were produced from four indigenous agricultural by-products including corncob, rice husk, almond shells and sheesham wood (Dalbergia sissoo) dust through chemical and enzymatic hydrolyses to evaluate potential of local agricultural wastes for XOs production. The methodology comprised of preparation of xylanase enzyme using Trichoderma harzianum with optimum reaction conditions found at pH 5.5 and temperature 28°C. When compared with commercially available enzyme, no significant difference was observed in xylan hydrolysis. Two types of chemical pre-treatment with acid and alkali were performed to enhance enzymatic hydrolysis. The pre-treatment with alkali improved the process in terms of lower yield of by-products. Resultant slurries were subjected to steaming at 145 ̊C for 30 min and the substrates were pulverized to facilitate enzymatic hydrolysis with xylanase (5 U/g) at 50 ̊C, pH 5.5. After refining, the XOs solution was spray dried. Both crude and refined XOs were determined with HPLC. Highest yield of the XOs was obtained from corncobs followed by sheesham wood dust, almond shells and rice husk. Asserted health effects of the XOs intake were evaluated through biological studies. XOs supplemented diet improved the body weight gain and serum biochemical profile of normal and diabetic rats. Also gastrointestinal health got better after 3 weeks study period indicated by low fecal pH, augmented CFU of Bifidobacteria. The XOs were incorporated in yoghurt by replacing CHO at different ratios for preparation of synbiotic food product. The pH, titratable acidity, total solids, fat, viscosity and whey separation with sensory characteristics of yoghurt samples were determined at 0, 7, 14 days interval. No significant difference (P<0.05) in sensory characteristics was observed with XOs incorporation up to 2.5% level; however physicochemical properties were affected
