صدرِذی وقار! معزز اسا تذہ کرام اور میرے ہم مکتب ساتھیو! آج مجھے جس عنوان پر اظہار خیال کا موقع فراہم کیا گیا ہے وہ ہے:’’میری زندگی کا مقصد ‘‘
معزز سامعین!
اس دنیاو مافیہا میں کوئی چیز ایسی نہیں جواللہ تعالیٰ نے بے مقصد پیدا فرمائی ہو۔ مشرق سے مغرب تک جنوب سے شمال تک، زمین کی گہرائیوں سے لے کر آسمان کی بلندیوں تک ، خلوتوں سے لے کر جلوتوں تک ، تنہائیوں سے لے کر شہنائیوں تک ، گود سے لے کر گور تک ہر چیز اللہ تعالیٰ نے بامقصد پیدا فرمائی ہے۔
جنابِ صدر!
ریت کا ذرہ ، پانی کا قطرہ، ہوا کا جھونکا، صحراؤں کی سنسناہٹ ، فضاؤں کی سرسراہٹ، ستاروں کی چمک، سیاروں کی دمک، پھولوں کی مہک ،کلیوں کی چٹک، سورج کی روشنی، چاند کی چاندنی یہ جملہ مظاہر فطرت ببانگِ دہل یہ اعلان کررہے ہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہمیں بامقصد اور کائنات کی رنگینیوں میں اضافے کے لیے وجودعطافرمایا ہے۔
معزز حاضرین!
ایک مرتبہ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ سے عرض کی اور ہم کلام ہوئے کہ یا اللہ العالمین تو نے چھپکلی کو کیوں پیدا فرمایا تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ارشاد فر مایا کہ اے موسی کچھ دیر پہلے یہی سوال مجھ سے چھپکلی کر چکی ہے کہ تو نے موسیٰ علیہ السلام کوکس مقصد کے لیے پیدا فرمایا۔ عربی کا مقولہ ہے:فعل الحکیم لا یخل عن الحکمہکہ حکیم کا فعل حکمت سے خالی نہیں ہوتا ۔ یعنی اللہ تعالیٰ نے دنیا کی ہر چیز کسی نہ کسی مقصد کے لیے پیدا فرمایا۔

Allah Almighty, with his power, created the sky, earth and whole universe and provided all the necessities.  Therefore, the work of preaching Islam is conferred upon the Ummah of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H). There are the people who had been taught the teachings of Islam directly by Holy Prophet and they preached Islam in the same way as they were taught. They practiced all the teachings in their lives. Sahaba R.A, for preaching Islam, went to the east, west, north, south, Hind, Sindh and the corners of the world. As a result of their efforts, almost half of the world got the message of Islam. Tabaeen consisted of many people, in the light of Quran and Sunnah, conveyed the message of Islam throughout the world. In the same way, another group of people named Tab Tabaeen became prepared to spread the universal message of Islam. They didn't ignore any sacrifice to uplift the spirit of Islam.  With their struggle, many great people like saints, jurist, reader and interpreter of Quran and Hadith born. These people tried their best to convey the message of Islam through written and spoken discourse. Religious books and places were introduced. That process of education, after many years, is still continuing. Presently, many religious places are constructed to preach spiritual guidance in which many great scholars and saints are engaged. History is witness that opponents went to extent possible level to aloof Muslims from teaching, preaching and guiding of lslam. Not only were this but the Muslims intended to end also. In these trials and tribulations, saints took responsibility on their shoulders and continued their struggle on the directed path of oneness, Prophet hood, Ahle Bait and Sahabas against the evil forces. Among such great Family of Pir Pagara is one whose line is continuing in Hind and Sindh. Insha Allah (If God wills) it'll continue till the last day. There is his great religious and social contribution. To convey, his valiant services towards people, research on this personality is dire need of the hour. In history, this research will be advantageous for the researchers to come.

Salicylic Acid-Mediated Alleviation of Cadmium Toxicity in Basmati Rice Oryza Sativa L.

The Cd accumulation might result disturbances in plant metabolism causing several physio-biochemical and structural changes ultimately declining the crop productivity. Having recognized the adverse effects of Cd on plants it is imperative to understand the mechanisms of Cd effects through its accumulation, transportation and the relationships of Cd effects with growth, antioxidant systems and the mineral nutrients, and then the contribution of SA in alleviating the Cd toxicity in basmati rice. The experiments were conducted in two phases (plant and callus) under different combinations of Cd (control, 100, 500, 1000 and 1500 μM) without or with SA (0.0 and 0.1 mM) with four genotypes of basmati rice (Basmati-198, Basmati-2000, Basmati-370 and Kashmir Basmati). The results revealed variable Cd accumulation pattern in the both culture systems (seedling and callus). Roots showed higher Cd accumulation as compared to shoot and callus. The lower Cd accumulation of callus than root exhibited less sensitivity of callus to Cd-induced stress. A two phase linear concentration-dependent Cd accumulation pattern was observed in root and shoot whereas in callus Cd accumulated in a linear concentration-dependent fashion with the elevating Cd levels in the both culture media. However, protective effect of SA on root or shoot and the callus inhibited the Cd accumulation from the both media revealing the possibility of occurrence of the formation of stable SA-Cd complexes. Higher amounts of H 2 O 2 and MDA caused Cd-induced oxidative stress elevating the activities of antioxidants (CAT and POD) which accelerated the accumulation of solutes disturbing mineral nutrients and water status in the both media. The uneven SOD activity exhibited that differences existed among the genotypes to withstand the Cd toxicity. The application of SA in combination with the elevating Cd stress showed improvements in the SOD activity indicating that higher SOD activity might modulate the activities of other enzymes and regulate the solutes maintaining water relations under Cd-induced oxidative stress and ultimately the growth in the both culture media. Based on Cd translocation factor and the root STI, and the callus BCF and STI factors, Basmati-198 showed more tolerance to Cd toxicity followed by Basmati-2000 and Basmati-370 whereas Kashmir Basmati was observed prone to Cd toxicity.
