مولانا عنایت اﷲ صاحب دہلوی مرحوم
گزشتہ اکتوبر کو علمی جماعت کے پرانے ممتاز رکن مولوی عنایت اﷲ صاحب دہلوی مرحوم سابق ناظم دارالترجمہ حیدرآباد دکن نے انتقال کیا، مرحوم علی گڑھ کالج کے دور اول کے ممتاز تعلیم یافتہ تھے، علم و ادب کا مذاق اپنے نامور باپ مولوی ذکاء اﷲ صاحب دھلوی سے ورثہ میں پایا تھا، طالب علمی ہی کے زمانہ سے ان کے یہ جوہر نمایاں تھے، سرسید کے بہت سے علمی اور ترجمہ وغیرہ کے کام وہی انجام دیتے تھے، اس دور کے ان کے بعض تراجم اب تک یادگار ہیں، ان میں سب سے اہم پروفیسر آرنلڈ کی مشہور کتاب ’’پریچنگ آف اسلام‘‘ کا ترجمہ ’’دعوتِ اسلام‘‘ ہے، تعلیم سے فراغت کے بعد ۱۸۹۳؁ء میں وہ کالج لائبریری کے لائبریرین مقرر ہوئے، کچھ دونوں تک ریاضی کی پروفیسری کی۔ اعزازی خدمت اور تہذیب الاخلاق کی ادارت کے فرائض انجام دیئے، ۱۹۰۰؁ء میں گورنمنٹ کے سلسلۂ ملازمت میں داخل ہوئے اور جونپور کی عدالت ججی میں منصرم مقرر ہوئے، ۱۹۱۵؁ء میں ریاست گوالیار نے گورنمنٹ سے ان کی خدمت مستعار لے کر اپنے شعبہ فنانس کا انڈر سکریٹری بنایا۔ دوران ملازمت میں ترجمہ کا مشعلہ برابر جاری رہا اور اس میں ان کو اتنی شہرت حاصل ہوگئی کہ جامعہ عثمانیہ کے قیام کے سلسلہ میں حیدرآباد میں جب دارالترجمہ کا قیام عمل میں آیا، تو گورنمنٹ نظام نے ان کو حیدرآباد میں منتقل کراکے ۱۹۲۰؁ء میں ان کو دارالترجمہ کا ناظم مقرر کیا، ۱۴ سال تک بڑی قابلیت کے ساتھ اس خدمت کو انجام دیتے رہے، ۱۹۳۴؁ء میں اس سے سبکدوشی حاصل کرکے دہرہ دون کی پر سکون فضا میں قیام اختیار کیا اور یہیں ۲۲؍ اکتوبر ۱۹۴۳؁ء کو وفات پائی۔

مظاهر الرحمة في شخصية الرسول

Those who abused the Prophet r, and accused him of violence, slander and falsely, had never listened to the call of the mind. They should never ignore the one of the most important verses of the holy book revealed from the Creator, Allah Almighty, that Prophet Muhammad r has been sent to the mankind purely for offering mercy. How can they neglect the fact that the Prophet r himself said if he was a leader without mercy, people around him did not accompany him. When we study the life of Prophet r, we observe that all factions of the society, whether they are slaves or independent, Muslims or non- Muslims, men or women, beloved friends or worst enemies; they were behaved not only with extreme justice, but with utmost mercy. So we find that it was a mercy in everything, in education, in advocacy and in legislation, in war and peace, in the family and society, and in all walks of life, etc. In this article, aspect of mercy in the personality of holy Prophet Muhammad r has been discussed in detail. Opinions of the Orientalists are also presented in the article. Aspect of mercy was not only an ingredient of the personality of Prophet r, but He r also made mercy a part of his followers’ personalities. So history witnesses that there was an elongated reign of peace in the world, whenever Muslim Rulers were in power.

A Mixture Theory Apporach for Modeling Fluid Flow Through Deformable Porous Tissues

In this thesis, the problems of flow and ion-induced deformation of soft porous bi ological tissues have been examined by using continuum mixture theory approach. In particular, we focus on the tissue deformation due to non-Newtonian fluid and externally applied magnetic field. In this regard, we first analyze the problem of non-Newtonian flow-induced deformation from pressurized cavities in absorbing porous tissues. Specifically, a model with a spherical cavity embedded in an in finite porous medium is used to find fluid pressure and solid displacement in the tissue as a function of non-dimensional radial distance and time. The governing nonlinear equations have been solved numerically to highlight effects of various emerging parameters. Furthermore, based on the geometry of the previous prob lem, the effect of the externally applied magnetic field on flow-induced deformation of absorbing porous tissues is investigated. A biphasic mixture theory approach has been used to develop a mathematical model. The governing dimensionless equations for fluid pressure and solid displacement have been solved numerically using the method of lines approach and the trapezoidal rule, respectively. The effect of magnetic parameter on fluid pressure and solid displacement is illustrated graphically. Finally, the problem of ion-induced deformation of articular cartilage with strain-dependent nonlinear permeability and magnetohydrodynamic effects is presented. The governing set of coupled partial differential equations are non dimensionalized using suitable dimensionless variables. Analytical solutions are provided for the constant permeability case whereas for the nonlinear permeabil ity case the displacement equation is solved numerically using the method of lines technique. The influence of magnetic and permeability parameter on solid dis placement and fluid pressure is illustrated graphically. In some cases, a graphical comparison to the previously reported literature is also presented.
