مفتی انتظام اﷲ صاحب شہابی مصنف یاادیب نہیں، لکھنے کی مشین تھے۔ بہت لکھتے تھے اور جلد لکھتے تھے۔ بلامبالغہ سینکڑوں مضامین ومقالات اورایک درجن سے زیادہ کتابیں ان کی قلمی یادگار ہیں۔ ان کا اصل فن تاریخ نگاری تھا لیکن مذہب، تصوّف اورادب وشعر کامیدان بھی ان کے رہوارِ قلم کی جو لانگاہ تھا۔ آگرہ جواُن کا مولد اوروطن اصلی تھا، اس کی علمی ،ادبی اورسیاسی تاریخ سے ان کوخاص دلچسپی تھی۔بُرہان اورندوۃ المصنفین سے ان کو دلی تعلق اور لگاؤ تھا۔ ۴۹ء کے شروع میں راقم الحروف کے کلکتہ چلے جانے کے بعد چند مہینوں تک مرحوم بُرہان کی ادارت سے وابستہ بھی رہے تھے۔اب ادہر چند مہینوں سے بتقاضائے عمر ان میں ضعف واضمحلال بہت زیادہ پیدا ہوگیاتھا۔ لیکن اس پربھی کچھ نہ کچھ لکھتے پڑھتے رہتے تھے۔ طبعاً بڑے خوش مزاج اور شریف وبااخلاق انسان تھے۔ اس کا افسوس عمر بھر رہے گا کہ پچھلے دنوں نظیراکبر آبادی پرایک مقالہ لکھنے کی فرمائش کے سلسلہ میں آگے پیچھے ان کے دو خط بڑے شدید تقاضہ اور اصرار کے آئے لیکن مصروفیتوں کے باعث تعمیل نہ ہوسکی۔اﷲ تعالیٰ دونوں کو مغفرت وبخشش کی نعمتوں سے سرفراز فرمائے ۔آمین [اکتوبر ۱۹۶۸ء]
Since from the beginning of humanity means of communication have always been an essential need for mankind. To convey the message and to find means to communicate and express one’s thought one needs a mean to transmit the information to others. That is called communication. With the passage of time and advancement communication means also took modern shape and became advance. Islam as a complete code of life, guides humanity in the all fields of sociology, economic, politics, including mass communication. Allah the Almighty sent messengers and Prophets for the guidance of people. So they served the humanity in different periods of time in different areas. Ḥaẓrat Muḥammad (ﷺ) the last prophet of Allah used these means of communication for the prevalence and preaching of Islam, and left behind a remarkable legacy in the field of mass communication for the guidance till dooms day. Where there have been great changes in other fields and professions of life in the advanced world of contemporary era there had become a revolutionary change in the field of media. News all over the world spread in seconds. Media which is the strongest tool to approach people, but sorry to say that it is detracted badly by prevailing wrong values, vulgarity, jealousy and selfishness. There is a dire need to change the direction of noble that so (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Muhammad Prophet of methodology the towards media values like piousness, self-sacrifices, brotherhood and cooperation should be developed in people and for this purpose youth can play a pivotal and effective role in the field of mass communication. The focus of this study was to explore the experiences of principals in managing the area of Early Childhood Development (ECD) provisions in the context of Karachi, Pakistan. The areas of exploration were principals' perception about the quality ECD education, principal's role in managing ECD, leadership styles in managing ECD, challenges of ECD operations, opportunities in ECD provision and strategies of transforming challenges into opportunities. An exploratory case study approach of the qualitative research methodology was used to carry out this study, because this approach gives room to the researcher to study the phenomenon in detailed manners through data collection from different sources. The findings of the study show that principals were the nucleus of academic and administrative activities of their educational institution and they had to demonstrate a dynamic role to perform these activities effectively. An effective ECD principal should have knowledge about brain development and child development of ECD to facilitate young children's learning. Principals were responsible for establishment of the pedagogical methods that suit for ECD and ensured the care of the different learning styles of learners. Principals were also responsible for creating enabling environment in the school, and they were a bridge between the institution and community and principals' effective communication, leadership style and managerial skills had a direct impact on overall school performance. The findings also identified some parents and teachers related challenges that principals were facing while managing ECD in their schools. The findings suggested the parental involvement and community engagement as two available opportunities in ECD settings. Based on the findings, the study makes recommendations for school management, principals, policy makers, government, and parents and community. That is, schools should provide in-house training sessions for their ECD teachers and staff to update their ECD knowledge and practice. Principal at ECD level should have an in-depth knowledge about ECD and should know about different leadership styles to adapt the most suitable one for their school. Government should have a clear ECD policy and curriculum to ensure quality ECD provision and teachers training in public sector. Government should also take all the ECD stockholders on board while framing ECD policies. The findings also suggest a strong school and community partnership to ensure the quality ECD environment in the school that foster the learning of young children.
