شیخ عبدالقادر سرفراز (پونا)
افسوس ہے کہ گزشتہ مہینہ فضل و کمال کی ایک ممتاز یادگار اٹھ گئی، یعنی پروفیسر شیخ عبدالقادر سرفراز (پونا) نے چوہتر سال کی عمر میں انتقال کیا، مرحوم مشرقی علوم والسنہ کے نامور فاضل تھے، عربی، فارسی اور انگریزی کے علاوہ سنسکرت اور مرہٹی زبان کے بھی ماہر تھے، عبرانی سے بھی واقفیت رکھتے تھے، ان کی پوری زندگی علم و تعلیم کی خدمت میں گزری، ابتدا میں انفنسٹن کالج بمبئی میں استاد مقرر ہوئے تھے، پھر دکن کالج پونا میں تبادلہ ہوگیا، اور یہیں سے ۱۹۳۳ء میں ریٹائر ہوئے، ان کی علمی خدمات کی فہرست طویل ہے ، بمبئی یونیورسٹی کے عربی فارسی اور اردو مخطوطات کا محققانہ کیٹیلاگ تیار کیا جو عرصہ ہوا چھپ چکا ہے، تاریخ طبری کی بعض جلدوں کا انگریزی میں ترجمہ کیا، یہ بھی شائع ہوچکا ہے، تاریخ جہانگشاہی نادری، سبحۃ الابرار جامی اورو قائع نعمت خان عالی کی تصحیح و تہذیب کی اور اس پر محققانہ حواشی لکھے، جن کی اشاعت کی نوبت ابھی تک نہیں آئی، ان کے علاوہ اور بہت سے کام انجام دیئے، جن کی تفصیل آئندہ کسی پرچہ میں پیش کی جائے گی۔
اس علم کے ساتھ نہایت راسخ العقیدہ و باعمل اور پابند مذہب مسلمان تھے، حج بیت اﷲ کے شرف سے بھی مشرف ہوئے تھے، طبعاً نہایت متین، سنجیدہ، خاموش اور متواضع و خاکسار تھے، مولانا شبلی مرحوم سے ان کے تعلقات بڑے مخلصانہ تھے، جو ان کے بعد وراثۃً دارالمصنفین کے حصہ میں آئے، دارالمصنفین سے ان کو نہایت گہرا تعلق تھا، اس کی مجلس انتظامیہ کے رکن بھی تھے، عرصہ ہوا ایک مرتبہ پونا سے اعظم گڑھ آنے کی زحمت گوارا کی تھی، اب اس زمانہ میں ایسے اصحاب کمال کا پیدا ہونا مشکل ہے، اﷲ تعالیٰ اس سرفرازِ علم کو اپنی رحمت و مغفرت سے سرفراز...
The opponents of Islam and its prophet, Muhammad (p) including some of the orientalists, have always tried their best to distort the real image of Islam and malign the person of the holy Prophet. They have produced many baseless stories and notions about the teachings of Islam and the person and life of the holy Prophet. They accused the Prophet (p) of having compiled the Qur’an out of the teachings of Christianity, Judaism and the customs of pre-Muhammadan Arabs. They maintain that Muhammad (p) was caught by epilepsy and trances, out of which he pretended to having received the Quranic revelation. They mention the incident of ‘Shaq al-Sadr’ (splitting up of the bosom of the prophet in his childhood) and the shivering condition of the holy Prophet(p) while receiving the revelations as hallucination of epileptic fits. But the history, medical science, the logical reasoning and the impartial orientalists have absolutely rejected their biased allegations on the personality of the holy Prophet. They certified that Muhammad (p) had never suffered from any type of such ailment like epileptic fits, seizers, trances or the falling sickness. The author is this paper refutes the allegation of epilepsy to the prophet with the help of impartial studies of the orientalists and evidences from the medical science, thus, highlighted the superficiality of the investigations of some orientalists about Islam and Its Prophet.
This study was conducted in a private school in Karachi. I introduced the action research approach to the teachers as a strategy to develop the teaching/learning process aiding in the development of creative writing skills. Two teachers, one primary and one secondary and eight students from class V and class VI participated in the study. I worked five days a week for six weeks lesson observed. I prepared activities and materials with the help of the teachers which emerged from the interest of the students. It was found out that the approach introduced in the study provided opportunities for the teachers to think and reflect upon their work. Through action research I built a close relationship with the teachers and the students. Action research helped the teachers to develop students' creative writing skills. The teachers identified problems and focused on how to resolve their problems. Through action research the teacher-students relationship assumed new dimensions. It was found that the new approaches which I introduced in my study provide opportunities for the teachers in developing and improving the learning teaching process. The dissertation has valuable methodological insights which will be useful for further research and my work with teachers.
