The previous literature largely focuses on the determinants of child labor which are country specific indicating that in order to implement any policy to tackle this issue the root cause should be well known. This thesis adds to the empirical work of child laborers who are students as well as those who are inactive (neither working for wages nor participating in domestic activities) by investigating which community, household, parents, and child characteristics are most common among those children in the two province of Baluchistan and Punjab and therefore bring out the dissimilarities in them
