Recent interest in nanomedicine is justified, as synthetic antioxidants and antibiotics suffer from several drawbacks. These nanomedicines have been shown to possess health promoting properties, and they exert no selective physiological pressure on the pathogens that can result in development of drug resistance. Tetracycline stabilized gold nanoparticles (Tet-Au(0) NPs) were combined by using chloroauric acid (HAuCl4) with the assistance of tetracyclineby using a facile method. The Tet-Au(0) NPs were observed by UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, which inveterate the formation of gold nanoparticles by stimulating the characteristic surface Plasmon absorption maxima at 515 nm. While the confirmation of bonding of specific tetracycline with gold metal exhibited, the formation of gold nanoparticles was verified by fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) confirmed the crystalline nature of synthesized Au (0) NPs.The standard condition employed for the optimization of this experiment. The effects of Tet-Au(0) NPs were checked on Salmonella typhimurium (S. typhimurium). Well diffusion method was used to check the antibacterial activity on S. typhimurium, and inhibition zone was measured in mm to check capability of the Tet-Au(0) NPs. The results were compared with standard tetracycline and gold ions. The antibacterial results revealed that newly synthesized (Tet-Ag(0) NPs) had a great remarkable activity against Salmonella typhimurium. These findings could pave the way for finding the changing behavior associated with other antibiotics after capping AuNPs or other metal nanoparticles and may be used against other resistant strains.

Students’ Perceptions Toward Bilingual Education at Icp Chemistry Education in Makassar

This study aims to find out: (1) students’ perceptions toward bilingual education in ICP (International Class Program) toward the use of two languages of instructions (English and Indonesian) by the lecturer in classroom. (2) to investigate its benefit for students in ICP chemistry education. The researcher adopted a descriptive qualitative research with a case study method. To gain the data, the researcher employed questionnaire with the students. The subjects in this study were 24 of students sixth semester belong to the International Class Program (ICP) chemistry education in State University of Makassar. The results of this study showed that there were the bilingual education helps the students to gain control their English skill. It showed that students’ positive perceptions toward the use of bilingual language as language instruction in the classroom by the lecturer. It is concluded that teaching chemistry in English facilitates the learners’ attempt in learning English.

An Integrated Model of Perceived Personalization and its Outcomes: Mediating Role of Online Advertising Engagement and Moderating Roleof User Privacy and Modes

The aim of the study was to develop a comprehensive model of the outcomes of perceived personalization. The study tested online advertising engagement developed due to perceived personalization. Intention to click, purchase intention and electronic word of mouth intention were proposed as outcomes of online advertising engagement. The moderating role of online users‘ mode and privacy concern was investigated on the relationship of perceived personalization and online advertising engagement. Survey research design was employed to test the study model. Actual online behavioural advertisement was manipulated. Data from 409 useable responses was included in the analysis. SPSS 21 and AMOS 23 were used for the analysis. Hayes method (Macro process) was used to perform the mediation and the moderation analysis. Results revealed that online advertising engagement partially mediate the relationship between perceived personalization and outcome variables. The results of the moderation showed that playful mode online users strengthen the relationship between perceived personalization and online advertising engagement, whereas, serious mode online users weakened this relationship. The moderation result of privacy concern revealed that online users with high privacy concerns strengthen the relationship between perceived personalization and online advertising engagement. The result is opposite to what was hypothesized in the study. The result of study has practical implications for the advertisers. For the best managerial practices, this study has analysed perceived personalization developed due to online behavioural advertising in the context of Pakistan. Furthermore, the proposed model of the study is supported by Stimulus Organism Response Model as an explanatory mechanism. The contribution and novelty of the current study is to empirically test the entire set of direct and indirect relationships under the framework of stimulus organism response model. Theory of presence is also used as an underlying mechanism to theorize online advertising engagement as a mediator. Theory of presence is used on rare basis in the marketing literature, hence this study adds to the generalization of the theory in the context of online behavioural advertising.
