Drugs contain the different component with different dosage concentration and some of them cause the toxicity in liver and kidney. In current study, male wistar rats were divided into three groups and kept in the animal house of the University of Health Sciences Lahore under standard conditions. Group I was serve as control while Group II and III had given by benzaldehyde and salicyldehyde derivative of pregabalin for 28 days, respectively. The behavioral changes, body weight and eating habits were remained same in all groups. There was not mortality rate occur in all groups. After sacrificing the animals, it was observed that there is not morphological and gross change in the color and texture of the liver and kidney. Hematological analysis has not showed the any significant difference in leukocyte count and MCV, platelet count, hemoglobin concentration (Hb), packed cell volume (PCV), erythrocyte count, mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC). Biochemical analysis showed the elevation in AST and creatinine while the vales of bilirubin, BUN and ALT remain normal.
