Balance diet is a basic factor in livestock productivity. Uneven and unbalanced dietary pattern is considered a major restriction for livestock development in Pakistan because it leads to decrease milk production, reproductive performance and growth rate of cattle. Livestock productivity can be increases by probiotics supplementation in cattle feed because they have ability to survive harsh gut environment, enhance digestion, improve microbial balance inside the gut and subsequently enhance milk production and growth rate. Cattle gut is rich source of probiotic species. There is still insufficient knowledge on indigenous probiotic species of livestock gastrointestinal tract. The present experiment was conducted to isolate and identify probiotic bacterial species from cattle gut at molecular level and to determine their probiotic potential. 35 pure bacterial strains were isolated from 30 fecal samples of healthy lactating Sahiwal cow. These strains were identified on the basis of morphological (colony morphology and gram staining), biochemical (catalase and oxidase test) and molecular characterization. Three strains (PBC-3, PBC-6 and PBC-9) were selected as probiotic strains based on their enzymatic potential (cellulolytic, amylolytic and proteolytic ability) and survival ability to low pH. These isolates were identified as Enterococcus faecalis (PBC-3), Pediococcus acidilacticii (PBC-6) and Pediococcus pentosaceus (PBC-9) by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Results of present study illustrated that these three bacterial strains (Enterococcus faecalis , Pediococcus acidilacticii and Pediococcus pentosaceus) showed best probiotic potential and can be use in cattle feed in future.

Congenital Heart Disease: Causes and Risk Factors Congenital Heart Disease: Causes and Risk Factors

Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) is a multifactorial disorder based on both genetic and environmental factors involved in development. The basic problem lies in the structure of heart leading to CHD that occurs in walls, valves, arteries and veins of heart. During cell cycle, the gene that controls this process may mutate, causing disturbance in any portion of heart leading to disturbed blood flow, blood flow in wrong direction or complete blockage. Defect may range from simple with no manifestations to complex with severe symptoms. Simple defects need no treatment while some babies with complex birth defects during birth require special care, vaccination, medication or otherwise treated with surgery. The incidence of CHD has declined from 80 to 20% due to progress in heart surgery techniques, medical treatment and interventional cardiology. Various genetic and non-genetic increase the susceptibility for CHD. The diagnosis and treatment of CHD has greatly improved in recent years. Almost all the children with CHD survive to adulthood and spend healthy and active lives after being treated.

Study of Various Subfamilies of Holomorphic Mappings Related to the Conic Regions

The aim of present research is to define and analyze some new families of holomorphic mappings related to the conic domain. Different techniques and tools are employed to investigate these families including differential subordination, Bernardi integral operator, Carlson-Shaffer linear operator, hypergeometric mapping, convolution operator, real and the complex orders. These families are extensively explored by studying their coefficient bounds, arc length problems, covering results, integral representations, inclusion results, radius of convexity problems, necessary conditions, growth rate of coefficients, distortion results, subordination results, convolution preserving properties and Fekete-Szegö inequality. Numerous well-known results appear as special cases for the different choices of parameter from our main results. Our investigation also contains a sound relationship between the results presented here with the results which are already available in the literature.
