معزز اسا تذہ کرام اور میرے ہم مکتب ساتھیو!
آج مجھے جس موضوع پر اظہار خیال کرنا ہے وہ ہے:’’میرا ملک پاکستان‘‘
صدرِذی وقار!
جہاں تک میرے ملک کا تعلق ہے تو یہ مجھے جان سے بھی زیادہ عزیز ہے، اس کے کھیت وکھلیان عزیز ہیں، اس کے کوہ ودمن عزیز ہیں، اس کے گلستان و چمن عزیز ہیں ، میرا ملک پاکستان ایک ایسی سرزمین ہے کہ جس پر جملہ عالم اسلام ناز کرتا ہے۔ جس کا وجود ہرمسلم کے لیے ناگزیر ہے۔ جس کی بقاء وسا لمیت پرکلمہ گو کا مقصد حیات ہے۔
محترم سامعین !
پاکستان کا قیام ایک نعمت غیر مترقبہ ہے، ہم نے یہ آسانی سے حاصل نہیں کیا، اس میں لاکھوں شہیدوں کا لہو شامل ہے، اس شجر ثمر دار کی بنیادوں میں کئی یتیموں کی یتیمی بھی شامل ہے۔ کئی بیواؤں کے اشکبار آنسوشامل ہیں ، کئی نئی نویلی دلہنوں کی شبہائے عروس شامل ہیں۔ کئی نوجوانوں کی اُٹھتی ہوئی جوانیاں شامل ہیں۔
محترم صدر!
پاکستان ہم نے اس لیے حاصل کیا تھا کہ ہم اپنی عبادت آزادانہ کریں گے، ہم آزادی کی نعمت سے مالا مال ہوں گے۔ ہمیں رکوع وسجود میں آزادی ہوگی ، ہمیںصدقہ و خیرات کرنے میں آزادی ہوگی ہمیں تعلیم کے حصول میں آزادی ہوگی، ہمیں خدمت خلق میں آزادی ہوگی ،ہمیں تبلیغ دین میں آزادی ہوگی، ہمیں تفہیم قرآن میں آزادی ہوگی، ہم جملہ امورِ حیات سرانجام دینے میں آزاد ہوں گے۔

Freedom of Expression: A Comparative Study from Islamic & Western Perspective Living on the earth is all about freedom and as we know that the first man on the earth Adam was sent on the earth with the freedom to worship only to Allah. This freedom is a blessing of Allah and the value of it would only be judged in the era of slavery. It is an ultimate principle in Islam that the total submission is to be Allah alone. Thus, a man would never be a slave of any other person and whenever they become a slave to any other authority they are treated inhumanly. Allah (SW) made this glorious world for human beings and granted them the status of Ashraf ul Makhlūq. Human has such value which can be testified by this reason that everything is tightened to them and the world is only created for them. But human can only be benefited from the world till they are better for them and others, living friendly and create atmosphere of peace. So, till the end they will be benefited and blessed. They will also be in peace and freedom if they take care and have the respect for humanity. As man is a social animal and doesn’t live without his community. Sometimes due to controversy in thinking and other routes fall in conflicts, for which a proper law is administered. The differences in views are not forbidden. It is important, not to cross limits and to create peaceful atmosphere in order to rest humanity in peace and make the world peaceful. This article deals with the comparison of Islamic freedom of expression and the modern Western criterion of freedom of speech. The study concludes that the Islamic and western thought on freedom is different from each other. In this study comparative and critical approach is adopted.
Islamic banking is one of the growing sectors in Pakistan with a very bright future as evident from the literature. In order to address the issues related to Islamic banking in a better way it is important to understand the attitude and behavior of the banking customers. The current study intends to know the attitude of the customers towards the acceptance of Islamic banking in major cities of Pakistan including Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. The study also compares the level of acceptance among each city. Sequential mixed method approach has been adopted for conducting the study, in which the tilt is towards the quantitative. A sample of 1000 respondents was selected in which the distribution of the questionnaires were as per the population size of each city. The factors identified by the customers during the interview session were religious beliefs, social pressure & norms, Sharia board influence, cost benefit analysis, advertising influence, convenience of availability, and bank’s reputation. Based on these factors the researcher developed a framework. Multiple regression analysis has been applied for testing the hypothesis in which t-test, f-test and ANOVAs were used. The findings suggest that the factors religious beliefs, social pressure & norms and convenience of availability contribute the most, followed by cost benefit analysis and bank’s reputation, while the factors Sharia board influence and advertising influence contribute the least in shaping the attitude of the customers towards the acceptance of Islamic banking. Moreover, the level of acceptance for Islamic banking is higher in Peshawar and Islamabad followed by Lahore and Karachi. Furthermore, Pearson chi square test has been applied for testing the association between the demographic variables like age, gender, profession, marital status, and qualification and factors influencing attitude towards the acceptance of Islamic banking. The results show that there is a strong association between them.
