اس خامۂ حرماں نصیب نے برہان کے ۴۵ برس کے دور زندگی میں نہ جانے کتنے مشاہیر عالم و نامور ان روزگار کی وفات پرماتم سرائی کی اوران کے درد و فراق میں رنج والم کے آنسو بہائے ہیں، لیکن واحسرتا!آج اسے اس عظیم شخصیت کی جدائی پرنوحہ خوانی کرناہے جو خود ندوۃ المصنفین کی بانی مبانی تھی اور جس کانقش گرم برہان کے اپنے وجود وبقا کاضامن اوراس کاکفیل تھا یعنی حضرت مولانامفتی عتیق الرحمن صاحب عثمانی جو طویل علالت کے بعد ۱۲/مئی۱۹۸۴ء کو ساڑھے تین بجے بعدظہر جان جان آفریں کوسپرد کرکے رحلت گزائے عالم جاودانی ہوئے، ۱۳ مئی کودلی کی جامع مسجد میں ۸بجے صبح کو نمازجنازہ ہوئی جس میں مسلمانوں کے ہرطبقہ اورہرجماعت کے ہزاروں عقیدت مندوں نے شرکت کی اور مہندیوں کے قبرستان میں جسے شاہ ولی اﷲ دہلوی اورآپ کے خانوادۂ گرامی نے برصغیر کاجنت البقیع بنادیاہے، تدفین ہوئی۔اناﷲ وانا الیہ راجعون۔
مفتی صاحب کی ذات اورشخصیت ایسے اوصاف وکمالات کی جامع تھی جن کا فی زمانہ شخص واحد میں جمع ہونا شاذونادرہی ہوسکتاہے۔آپ دیوبند کے نامی گرامی خاندان عثمانی کے چشم وچراغ تھے جواپنے علمی و دینی امتیازات و خصوصیات کے باعث نہ صرف قصبہ میں بلکہ پورے ضلع میں نہایت ممتاز رہا ہے، مفتی صاحب کے جد امجد مولانا فضل الرحمن دارالعلوم دیوبند کے چار بانیوں میں سے ایک تھے اورخود بڑے صاحب علم وفضل تھے۔ مولانا فضل الرحمن صاحب کو اﷲ تعالیٰ نے جو اولاد ذکور عطافرمائی ان میں شیخ المشائخ حضرت مفتی عزیز الرحمن عثمانی، شیخ الاسلام پاکستان حضرت مولانا شبیر احمد عثمانی اورحضرت مولانا حبیب الرحمن عثمانی مہتمم دارالعلوم دیوبند بھی تھے جو آسمان علم وفضل اورافق شریعت وطریقت پرآفتاب وماہتاب بن کر چمکے اور ایک عالم کو اپنی ضیابخشیوں سے منور کرگئے۔ ان ہر سہ اصحاب ثلاثہ...

Qur’ānic Concept of Divine Mercy Projected through the Pairs of Divine Attributes: A Criterion for Social Amelioration

This paper intends to discuss Qur’ānic concept of Divine Mercy in the light of couples of Divine Attributes mentioned at the end of verses in order to study what standards have been given for the best human conduct and how we may extract guideline and principles for communal amelioration acquiring well-balanced social rhythm. Conversely, what are the conditions and prerequisites that are responsible to make a person deserving and worthy of Divine Mercy as advised by Qur’ānic verses from within the domain of selected pairs. This paper desires to estimate the hypothesis that Divine Mercy gives rise to the better understanding leading towards broad spectrum of the subject theme where social betterment is greatly concerned. Employing analytical method, we may be able to know multiple dimensions regarding human life and its rectification. This study concludes that from the universal message of Divine Mercy each pair demonstrates its unique communication, which may cause to find the details for social amelioration as well as practical evidences concerning the better social milieu, instead of just concentrating upon theories and revolving around the ideas in relation to the concept of mercy. This communication finds that how these pairs mutually addressed the humanity to educate them commendable conduct along with preventive measures, for praiseworthy living. It is recommended that this discourse will provide a data from Islamic weltanschauung concerning Divine Mercy projecting an exclusive comparative stance towards different thoughts and religions.

Power Flow Control Strategy at the Load Bus in the Presence of Dispersed Generation

Due to increased proliferation of sensitive loads in the distribution network, voltage sags, swells and phase jumps mitigation has become the focus of power quality (PQ) research. This reduces its adverse economical impact. Equipment sensitivity curve shows that small duration outage of one-cycle is tolerable for sensitive loads. Therefore, the control system should be capable for voltage sag detection and mitigation in less than 20 ms at 50 Hz. There are various custom power devices for protecting industrial processes against voltage sags. Due to simple control, fast response and fewer transients; dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is investigated in this research work. Several voltage-sourced converter (VSC) control strategies for the DVR are proposed to maintain constant load voltage for smooth and clean power delivery to the load. A new leading series voltage injection (LSVI) technique is presented as a first strategy for the mitigation of sag. A mathematical model of LSVI by a DVR for voltage sag mitigation has been developed. Simulation results have been obtained to validate the developed model. Conventionally, distributed generation (DG) source is connected in parallel with utility to share load and export its excess power to utility. A new concept of power export through series connection of DG supported DVR is presented, whose power export capability is managed by magnitude of injected voltage as well as its phase-angle instead of the current. However, the approach for mitigating voltage sag using LSVI scheme is suitable for those locations where the phase-shift in the voltage will not cause any problem. A feed-forward VSC control strategy for the DVR is then presented, based on unipolar SPWM switching strategy. This is a novel but a simple control strategy in which the VSC not only converts DC to AC but also mitigates voltage sags, swells and phase jumps in the utility voltage, acting as power flow controller. Comparison of instantaneous utility voltage and generated three-phase reference voltage is carried out to detect sags, swells and phase jumps in the utility voltage. It then generates appropriate switching signals for the VSC of DVR to mitigate them.With the help of proposed control scheme of DVR, the dynamic capability of DVR increases the sensitive load penetration in the distribution system. LSVI control uses leading series voltage injection technique whereas a feed-forward method of compensation uses in-phase injection to regulate the load voltage. The magnitude of injected DVR voltage is minimal in in-phase injection compensation strategy. However, the presented power export concept is valid only for the LSVI scheme. The simulation for the presented control strategies have been performed using SimPowerSystemsTM tool box of MATLAB®. The proposed control strategies detect utility disturbances and mitigate them within half-cycle against a target of one-cycle. These strategies succeed in keeping load voltage THD limit within 5%.
