Andragogy has been criticized for generalizing the distinguishing characteristics of white American middle class males. This study negates this criticism by successfully applying it for teaching of English to adult Asian Pakistani language learners at university level. It was an action research which applied andragogical principles for teaching of English to three cohorts of adult EPM learners for a period of one and a half year at NUML. During this study learners’ linguistic performance was evaluated against the prescribed criteria through content analysis. To triangulate the assessment of learners’ linguistic performance, it was also evaluated via semi-structured interviews, taken from other teachers who taught these adult learners later in other semesters.Questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were used to take learners’ feedback about their present and past experiences of learning English. The quantitative analyses of learners’ linguistic performance and thematic analysis of peer evaluation reveal a marked improvement in their productive linguistic skills in English. Empirical findings exhibit that non-traditional adult learners consistently sustain better performance across all three cohorts. Application of andragogical principles was found to be facilitative for making these adult language learners proactive. After conducting this research, the researcher suggests to the teachers of adults to be critically reflective andragogues; who not only understand various cognitive, psychological and emotional characteristics of adult learners but can use peer support and peer cooperation for promoting cooperative classroom environment.It is extrapolated from this study that andragogy is helpful for establishing a dialogical and facilitative relationship with adult learners and the use of emotional competence works as a catalyst in facilitating the application of andragogical principles as it helps to behave mindfully in stressful and complex situations for bringing positive results. Moreover, the study suggests that through personal teaching praxis, teachers delve deeply into their teaching methodology before its application and reflect on each activity before its execution. They extrapolate from their own errors and not only expand their learners’ linguistic knowledge base but also broaden their own professional competence.

سیرت طیبہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا عدلیاتی پہلو: ایک تحقیقی جائزہ A Research Review of the Prophetic Justiceﷺ

Islam is a religion of peace and it has provided a strong system of justice for the establishment of peace and order, the practical picture of which is available to the Muslim Ummah in the form of Sira-e-Taiba of the Holy Prophetﷺ. On which the seal of beauty has been recorded by Allah Himself. Therefore, the system of justice of Islam can be used only when the solution of all issues is sought from Sira-e-Taiba because Heﷺ has eliminated the distinction between rich and poor in the supremacy of law. The Holy Prophet ﷺ has set great and enlightening examples of justice for humanity, the pursuit of which leads to peace and tranquility of social life. In his Supreme Court, the Qur'an and Sunnah and consensus and analogy were of fundamental importance. In the Qur'an and Hadith, Sira-e-Taiba had the status of Shāri' and Legislator, while in consensus and speculation, Sira-e-Taiba has promoted thinking and counseling. The center and axis of Islamic law is your caste. He ﷺ has established justice, supremacy, and law in every field of worship, affairs, disputes, and crime. Therefore, in this article, the judicial aspect of His ﷺ Sira-e-Taiba has been explained in the light of the Qur'an and Hadith, the Sahabah and the followers, and the edicts of the Imams and jurists.

Technology Based Employees Training and Organizational Performance With Mediating Effect of Customer Oriented Employees

Training and technology come together to devise new methods. These are referred to as the technology-based training in the human resources. The technology based training is conveyed in all the teaching institutions and the organizations all over the world. Also, many people, groups and the institutions have adopted as expended resources. The organizations are making use of the customized methods of the technology-based know- how for the training of their employees and enhancing their own growth. The aim of this research is to explore the impact of technology-based human resource practices with a confined focus on their employees training through the organizational performance, especially of the customer- focused employees in mediating environment by intriguing some guidance from earlier endeavors. The present study explores the nature of the technology-based HR trainings practices with a focus on the banking sector in Pakistan. The study was carried out in the twin-cites of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Random sampling technique was adopted and population mainly was categorized into six Islamic banks and 6 conventional Banks. Total seven hundred and fifty copies of the questionnaires were distributed among the employees of the Banks. The turnover was five hundred and seven scoring 67.6% response rates. The study found that technology- based training was highly positive and it significantly affected the customer-focused employees. The study further investigated that the technology-based training had a significant and positive impact on the customer-orientation and, at the same time, the customer-focused employees were highly positive and significantly added to the organizational performance. The study also detected that the impact of the technology-based trainings on the customer-focused employees in the Islamic banks was greater than in the conventional banks. The study strongly recommended that defining the right human resource service delivery by aligning the human resource investment in the relevant technology is essential to achieve the cherished organizational performance. The organizations should relate the administrative operation by simplifying and automating the human resource technology-based training to get the desired organizational performance and productivity. For the banks which have not yet investigated the self-service technology or the technology-based training, it is significant to emphasize the technology-based trainings to its employees, especially to those ones who are serving the customers at the front line to streamline the human resource administrative operations. The study also recommends that by implementing the technology-based training and acquiring the inputs from the top level management and the internal customers using this input and information for the organizational strategies and goal, can further the market shares and the profitability.
