A better functioning financial sector matters directly for growth and contributes indirectly for poverty alleviation and welfare in Least Developed Countries (LDCs), through managing liquidity risk, acquisition of information, resource allocation, monitoring investment projects, saving mobilization, and facilitating exchange of goods and services. A vast variety of literature deals with the analysis of performance of financial institutions and their outcome for developing countries, especially in the context of South Asian and African region. However after the global financial crisis there emerged a need to re-examine the issues and outcomes resulting after financial liberalization process pursued by these economies. Studies conducted in this context suggested that there is a need to build a sound institutional framework which could prove to be productive for growth and welfare performance of LDCs. With this background, present analysis is a re-examination of relationship between financial liberalization (FL), financial intermediation (FD), and economic growth indicators, while taking the interference of governance (GOV) indicators into the analysis. This dissertation aims to ascertain whether financial liberalization has had any impact on financial deepening and economic growth. To carry out this empirical analysis, study utilized time series data set over the period 1995 to 2012 (based on the availability of data for specific countries), a sample of seven South Asian countries and applied Generalized Method of Moment (GMM) system analysis for estimation. To measure the financial liberalization, financial intermediation and governance, Chinn-Ito index, domestic credit to private sector and world governance indicators (WGI) are used respectively. The analysis found a positive and insignificant relation between financial deepening and financial liberalization, however, the impact of governance indicator on financial deepening has been found to be negative and robust. Moreover, as per the individual dimensions of governance are concerned, political stability and government effectiveness are important in determining the financial development among other dimensions The interaction of governance indicator and financial liberalization term yielded significant and negative impact. In the context of legal origin, findings supported that countries with mixed legal system are more financially developed and the interaction of legal origin and FL has found to be positive showing that FL castes positive impact on FD in the countries with mixed legal system. In addition, as per the results of control variables, openness of trade has positive and significant impact on financial development and it has been verified that simultaneous opening of trade and financial sector also have positive and significant impact. Inflation and government spending have expected negative and positive link respectively, and their signs are supported theoretically. Finally, in growth equation, it has been found that economic growth is important for determining the financial development.

Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Integritas Laporan Keuangan (Studi Pada Perusahaan BUMN yang Terdaftar di BEI Periode 2020- 2022)

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of managerial ownership, audit committee, audit quality and company size on the integrity of financial reports. The objects in the research are state-owned companies registered on the IDX for the 2020-2022 period, totaling 20 companies. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression. The research results explain that simultaneously managerial ownership, audit committee, audit quality and company size have a significant influence on the integrity of financial reports. While managerial ownership and company size have a negative and significant influence, the audit committee has a positive and significant influence, audit quality has a positive and insignificant influence.

Real Time Vulnerability Assessment of Wlan and its Digital Forensics

Wireless local area network (WLAN) has changed the paradigm of communication and become ubiquitous. As the number of devices connected on wireless is increasing, it is therefore, essential to find vulnerabilities in the security of wireless networks. In this research, WLAN security vulnerabilities are exposed in real time and digital forensics of WLAN for Windows and Android operating system-based clients are conducted. A real time wardriving was conducted in a residential area to emphasize the fact that WLAN broadcast sensitive information. The results of wardriving showed that 97% of WLAN access points (AP) were using WPA2. According to the data collected it was found that channel 11 and channel 1 were used by 52% WLAN APs and the average number of clients per AP was 1.59. Tenda WiFi wireless access point was set up with MAC filtering, hidden SSID and WPA2 security mechanisms in different combinations in such a way as to add an additional layer of security to previous configuration. The vulnerability assessment of security mechanisms of residential AP was performed with Kali Linux version 2017.1. A practical demonstration of exploiting MAC filtering, Hidden SSID with MAC filtering and WPA2-PSK with hidden SSID and MAC filtering security mechanisms of AP was carried out in real time. It was observed that the existing security mechanisms were vulnerable. Furthermore, the digital traces left behind or stored in 802.11 based devices were also explored in order to investigate wireless network attacks. Researchers have proposed probabilistic models for detecting MAC spoofing attacks of WLAN clients. However, in this research, a live forensic method based on changing position of legitimate client with respect to attack detector and observing received signal strength of wireless packets to detect MAC filtering bypass attack was proposed. De-authentication attacks on wireless networks were also detected. This thesis also explored the methods of finding WLAN artifacts from Windows and Android OS devices to determine whether a particular device was connected to an unauthorized wireless network or not. Researchers have exploited many security mechanisms of WLAN focusing upon a single parameter of WLAN security at a time. However, in this work, three available security mechanisms were cascaded to produce a three-layer security mechanism which was exploited in real-time.
