سر آرتھر کونل ڈائل کی وفات
دو ماہ کی علالت کے بعد سر آرتھر کونل ڈائل نے ۷؍ جولائی ۱۹۳۰ء کو قلب کی بیماری میں انتقال کیا، شرلاک ہومس کے افسانوں کی وجہ سے ان کو جو عالمگیر شہرت حاصل ہوئی وہ محتاج بیان نہیں، آخری عمر میں انھیں روحوں کے ساتھ غایت درجہ کا اعتقاد ہوگیا تھا، وہ اسے ایک قسم کا مذہب خیال کرتے تھے، جس کی اہمیت ان کے نزدیک لٹریچر، فنون، لطفیہ، سیاسیات بلکہ دنیا کی ہر چیز سے زیادہ تھی اور انھیں اس بات سے تکلیف ہوتی تھی کہ لوگ ان کو شرلاک ہومس کے مصنف کے نام سے یاد کرتے ہیں۔ سر آرتھر کو بچپن ہی سے تصنیف کا شوق تھا، پہلی کتاب انھوں نے چھ سال کی عمر میں لکھی اور مدرسہ کے ابتدائی ساتھیوں میں بحیثیت افسانہ گو کے شہرت حاصل کی، بعد میں انھوں نے طب پڑھی اور کئی سال تک مطب کرتے رہے، مصنفوں کے زمرہ میں ان کا شمار اس وقت ہوا جب ۱۸۸۸ء میں انھوں نے ’’مائکا کلارک‘‘ لکھی، گزشتہ جنگ عظیم میں ان کا بڑا لڑکا مارا گیا اور اسی حادثے نے آخر عمر میں انھیں عالم ارواح کا دلدادہ بنادیا۔ (’’م ۔ ع‘‘، اکتوبر ۱۹۳۰ء)
Music and the instruments used for it are forbidden clearly in Quran and Sunnah. The Prophet Muhammad SAW warned us about its punishment in hereafter. Along with it due to its attraction to human’s interests, Music is often added to various programs. Besides listening it in songs, it is used as background in various audios and videos. The aim of this background music is to make the program more effective and attractive to the audience. As nowadays TV and Radio are also being used as means of preaching Islam, especially in the current age of social media many web and social media channels have been emerged to propagate Islam. One of the main problems been faced by these channels is forbidden of music in Islam, due to which the public does not take enough interest in them as compared to other entertainment channels. In this paper after discussing shariah status of Music I have tried to come up with various alternate ways to make the religious and Islamic Programs more attractive and effective to the people.
Transition of Software industry from classical software development to Agile software development is because of the continuously changing market needs and complex business transformations. By offering faster delivery of quality product with better collaboration and customer satisfaction, Agile approaches fulfil the demands of highly dynamic market environments. There are several Agile methodologies such as Crystal, Extreme programming, DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Method), Scrum, Feature-driven development (FDD), etc. Scrum is one of the most popular Agile process models. It is adaptive and versatile in nature and based on iterative and incremental practices. This methodology has yielded a significant increase in productivity and quality of the product. However, there are certain weak areas where we need to focus on including documentation, testing, team?s performance, visibility of work during a Sprint, and maintenance. This work has not only identified these problem areas but also proposed a solution to overcome the problems. This customized version of Scrum has brought innovation by addition and adaptation of certain practices while keeping intact the simplicity and integrity of Scrum model. The proposed solution has tailored and adapted Agile Scrum in different areas for software process improvement that in turn lead to increased productivity and product quality. A case study and a survey have been conducted to explore the validity of proposed model. In addition to that, a pragmatic evaluation has been carried out to assert if IScrum outperforms the Scrum in those challenging areas while achieving the desired objectives. It has been manifested through the quantitative and qualitative data that proposed model has improved the traditional Scrum in most of the development extents.
