ڈاکٹر سید فرید احمد برکاتی نے یکم جولائی ۲۰۰۷ء کو داعی اجل کو لبیک کہا، انا ﷲ وانا الیہ راجعون۔
ڈاکٹر صاحب کے جد امجد مولانا حکیم برکات احمد صاحب اپنے زمانے کے مشہور فاضل، یگانہ استاد اور علوم عقلیہ و حکمیہ میں سرآمد روزگار تھے، یہ بہار سے آکر ریاست ٹونک میں آباد ہوگئے تھے، ٹونک کے والی نے بڑی قدردانی کی اور اپنا خصوصی معالج مقرر کیا، علوم عقلیہ کی طرح طبابت بھی اس خانوادے کا امتیاز تھا، اس میں کئی نامور طبیب گزرے ہیں، ڈاکٹر فرید احمد کے والد بزرگوار شفاء الملک مولانا سید ظہیر احمد برکاتی بھی ایک حاذق طبیب اور ریاست کے نواب صاحب کے معالج خاص تھے۔
یادش بخیر حکیم محمد سعید بانی ہمدرد دواخانہ کراچی کے دست راست اور راقم کے مخلص کرم فرما جناب مسعود احمد برکاتی صاحب اسی خانوادے کے گوہر ناب ہیں، ڈاکٹر فرید احمد اپنی خاندانی ذہانت، علم و فضل، شرافت، ملنساری اور سخاوت کے حامل تھے، آٹھ برس کی عمر میں قرآن مجید حفظ کیا، دارالعلوم خلیلیہ نظامیہ ٹونک سے ابتدائی اور دینی تعلیم حاصل کی، علی گڑھ مسلم یونیورسٹی سے عربی میں ایم اے کیا اور اول پوزیشن حاصل کی، پھر راجستھان یونیورسٹی سے اردو میں ایم اے اور پی ایچ ڈی کیا اور یہیں تدریسی خدمات انجام دے کر ۲۰۰۲ء میں سبک دوش ہوئے۔
ان کا تحقیقی مقالہ ’’فرہنگ کلیات میر‘‘ ۱۹۸۸ء میں شائع ہوا تھا، اسی زمانے میں پورے ملک میں مولانا ابوالکلام آزاد صدی تقریبات منائی جارہی تھیں، راجستھان یونیورسٹی کے شعبہ اردو فارسی میں بھی مولانا پر سمینار ہوا تھا، اس میں شرکت کے لیے گیا تو ڈاکٹر فرید صاحب سے ملاقات ہوئی اور انہوں نے اپنی کتاب معارف میں تبصرے کے لیے عنایت کی، اس سے ان کی محنت اور لغت میں مہارت...
South Asia and Indian subcontinent have historically been regions of geo-strategic importance. They have been the most sought-after territories for every major World Player in each era. As a result of independence from the British in 1947, Pakistan and India emerged as two sovereign states, however, at loggerheads with each other since their very inception. The two countries have fought four deadly wars (1947-48, 1965 & 1971), including one (Kargil) after attaining the status of nuclear powers. One commonality in all these wars has been the unresolved Kashmir Issue, which remains the sorest point in the Pak-India ties to-date. These wars and many others military conflicts have resulted in the breach of peace for the region causing a much-feared nuclear threat, economic losses, disruption of social and cultural ties etc. For greater world peace, Pakistan and India need to resolve their differences/issues through bilateral negotiations, as war is no solution to any problem. For this purpose, political leadership of both the countries will have to intelligently carve out a plan to achieve the objective of peace and tranquility in the region. Both the countries need to realize that neighbours cannot be wished away. Peace in South Asia is synonymous to peace in the world.
The DDoS attacks are the most common attacks of the network and the mechanism and nature of
these attacks change day by day. DDoS attacks can simply exhaust the network communication
resources, it cause the failure of the network within a less time. The fundamental technologies
and network protocols have flaws and vulnerabilities that can open doors for attackers to attack
the network. This problem is a hurdle for secure and reliable communication with in network. To
overcome this issue, there is a need to create a more effective and accurate attack detection
algorithm specifically for DDoS attack. Numerous attack detection mechanisms already
developed to detect a DDoS attack in network. An effective attack detection mechanism that can
provide the entire attack details is therefore required to overcome the problem. Additionally,
need to develop such a diverse system to address not only DDoS attack details and also provide
proactive measures to avoid the same kind of attacks in future by designing intelligent system.
Therefore, in this thesis, we propose SRDD, a smart routing based DDoS detection system for
entire network. In SRDD, the DDoS attacks can be detected at the initial phase. In this research,
we have been developed a DDoS detection system which is based on decision tree algorithm to
prevent the DDoS attack. The decision tree algorithm, include with signature based detection
methodologies, perform automatic prediction, and provide effective detection of malicious
traffic. The decision tree algorithm classifying the received packets and making a decision based
on the classification of results. For validation of proposed system, selected some of other
machine learning techniques and provide comparison with our proposed system. This proposed
SRDD system evaluates the network resources and the traffic dataset in order to train the centric
agent for detection system to detect legitimate and malicious traf?c. The proposed SRDD system
allowed legitimate traffic to pass through network and malicious traf?c is ?agged malicious to go
through detection system. Finally, the results are discussed in terms of accuracy, exposure and
specificity. The system not only can identify the attacks, but also detect the attacker IPs and start
a process of mitigation to provide very well protection of the network system at initial stage of
an attack is identified. The proposed research focused on the security aspect of legacy protocols as the baseline for mapping our desired research objectives to align with intelligent survivable
centric network agent.
