During the recent years, rapid advancement in the field of science and technology has demanded changes in the existing curricula for degree programs currently offered by various universities of the country. The trends in education have changed rapidly over the few years on the international scene. The government of Pakistan has shown a keen interest in making rigorous changes in degree programs to remove all discrepancies with the international standard. BS (Bachelor of Studies) 4-Year was therefore established in 2002 in accordance with the recommendations of the higher education commission and the national curriculum revision committee. BS 4-Year program was therefore, established in 2002 in accordance with the recommendations of the Higher education commission and the national curriculum revision committee. BS 4-Year is an absolutely new program, initiated with the aim of preparing the students of Pakistan to compete with other students at international level. Most of the universities in Pakistan are offering BS 4- Year Program in the disciplines of basic sciences, social sciences and languages. Still far as no study has been done to evaluate BS 4-Year Program, the researcher selected this particular topic. The present study was delimited to BS 4-Year Program in the subject of Education. The main objective of the study was to develop an evaluation model for BS 4-Year Program in the Subject of Education. The sample of the study comprised four (4) public universities of the Punjab, where the BS Education program was functional at the time of commencement of the present research work. The majority of permanent university teachers fifty three (53) (male & female) from the Department of Education and three hundred and twenty-nine (329) students (male & female) studying in different semesters of BS 4-Year program in Education from the sample universities were taken as the sample. The Students’ sample was selected by using Stratified random sampling technique. As research tool, questionnaires for teachers and students were prepared separately and administered to the respective samples and analyzed. Moreover, an opinionnaire for teachers about instruction, teaching practice and assessment components was also designed, administered and analyzed. The collected data were analyzed by using percentages, means, z–test, product-moment correlation and factor-matrix. The researcher also carried out document analysis for the review of curriculum content. As far as the conclusions of the study were concerned, it was found that on maximum components of the rating scale (Questionnaire), teachers and students showed their satisfaction. However, on a few points regarding dissatisfaction were also observed. So, after evaluating the components of BS Education 4-Year Program, an evaluation model for BS 4 Year program in education was designed by keeping in view Stufflebeam CIPP evaluation model.

ابھی مولانا حبیب الرحمن اعظمی کی موت سے آنسو خشک نہیں ہوئے تھے کہ ۲۹؍ مارچ کو کرنل بشیر حسین زیدی بھی اﷲ کو پیارے ہوگئے، ان کا خاندان سلطان محمود غزنوی کے زمانہ میں ہندوستان آیا اور پنجاب کے علاقہ کلانور میں قیام پذیر ہوا، شہاب الدین غوری کی افواج کے سپہ سالار قطب الدین ایبک نے دہلی کو اپنا پایۂ تخت بنایا تو درباری روابط کی بنا پر اس خاندان کے لوگوں نے بھی دارالحکومت کے قریب ضلع مظفر نگر میں موضع سنبھل ہیٹرہ اور اس کے آس پاس کے مواضعات میں توطن اختیار کیا، اسی خانوادے کے ایک بزرگ سید عمر نے موضع ککرولی کو آباد کیا، زیدی صاحب ان کی بارہویں پشت میں تھے۔
یہ خاندان سادات باہرہ (روشن) کے نام سے مشہور ہوا جو تبدیل ہوکر سادات بارہہ ہوگیا، یہ لوگ اپنے علوے نسب اور مکارم اخلاق کے علاوہ ہر دور میں شجاعت و بہادری کے لیے بھی ممتاز سمجھتے جاتے تھے، مغلوں کے زمانے میں سادات بارہہ بلند مناصب پر فائز ہوئے اور اپنی سیاسی طاقت کی وجہ سے اورنگزیب کے بعد کے طوائف الملوکی دور میں بادشاہ گر کہلاتے تھے، بلگرام کے سادات بھی اسی نسل سے تعلق رکھتے ہیں جن کو حیدرآباد میں بڑا عروج نصیب ہوا۔
سید بشیر حسین زیدی کی ولادت ۳۰؍ جولائی ۱۸۹۸؁ء کو قصہ چھانسا (ضلع دہلی) میں ہوئی جہاں ان کے والد سید شوکت حسین بحیثیت سب انسپکٹر پولیس ملازم تھے، زیدی صاحب اسکول اور کالج کی تعلیم دہلی میں حاصل کرنے کے بعد ۱۹۱۹؁ء کے اواخر میں کیمبرج گئے، ۲۳؁ء میں بیرسٹری کا امتحان پاس کرکے گھر آنے لگے تو حج بیت اﷲ کی سعادت بھی حاصل کی۔

Mirza Bedil is a famous and well renowned poet of his era and after his era. His poetry has very poetically and lyrically characteristics, thoughts of his poetry also influenced on Urdu and Persian language. Even big poets of Urdu and Persian Ghalib and Iqbal inspired by Bedil’s poetry style and thoughts. Bedil’s poetry has many ethically manners, mystically thoughts, secrets of life and also thoughts of life’s movement to forward. In this article must present the ethically and good manners aspects of Bedil’s poetry, according to life, mystic, God, earth and other aspects of daily life.

Relationship Between Parenting Styles, Self Esteem and Achievement Motivation Among Secondary School Students

Present study was conduct to explore the relationship between parenting styles (authoritative, authoritarian and permissive parenting style), self-esteem and achievement motivation in the context of public and private sector secondary school students. The prime objective of the study was to investigate the relationship between parenting styles, self-esteem and achievement motivation among secondary students, the second objective of the study was to the impact of parenting styles and self-esteem on the achievement motivation of secondary school students and third objective of the study was to explore the impact of various demographic variables such as gender, grade, education sector, mothers profession , fathers profession, monthly family income, birth order, number of siblings and mother tongue in determining parenting styles, level of self- esteem and achievement motivation. This study was consisted of three parts. Part I comprised of translation and validation of research instruments. For the measurement of parenting styles "Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ)" based on 2 forms (mother and father) 30 items in each developed by Buri was used, for the measurement of self-esteem "Self Esteem Inventory (SEI)" consisted of 36 items created by Todd was used and for the measurement of achievement motivation "Achievement motivation inventory (AMI)" comprised of 32 items developed by Immanuel was used. Part II of the study was comprised of pilot testing of translated research instruments on 60 secondary school students. Part III consisted of main study, a stratified random sample of 300 secondary school students, 150 from public sector and 150 from private sector were selected in order to collect data. After data collection data was analyzed by the help of SPSS 16 through using different statistical procedures such as Mean, SD, Percentile Analysis, Coefficient Of Correlation, t-test and ANOVA. Findings of the study revealed that a positive significant relationship exist between parenting styles, self-esteem and achievement motivation among secondary school students.
