Education is a moral enterprise. Character building of students is the pivotal goal of education all over the world. It has ever been a hot issue either religion should be included the syllabi or secular values are enough for the moral development of young children. During the recent years, syllabus for Islamyat in schools and Madaris of Pakistan has also come under objection and revision. However, no research on relationship of moral development and religion has come to light in Pakistan. For the reason, a study was conducted to find the, “Effect of religious education on the moral development of children.” It was a causal comparative ex post facto study with a 3x3 factorial design. The stratified sample comprised 1350 children of 4-15 years from public schools, Madaris and uneducated from urban and rural areas of Lahore. The researcher developed a tool MDII (Moral Development Interview inventory) herself. Its validity and reliability were determined statistically. The data was analysed by ANOVA and T-test for independent sample. It was found that there was a substantial increase in the moral development of children during every age stage. Religious education has also significant positive effect on the moral development of children because the uneducated children showed the least moral development. The children from 7-11 (childhood) from schools and Madaris showed equal performance and the children in early childhood of Madaris indicated no significant difference with uneducated children. It was concluded that Hifz students were not provided with illustrative moral content so they lagged behind in moral concepts. The adolescents studying translation of the Quran and Hadith showed the highest stage of moral development. It was suggested that Madaris should introduce translation of the Quran and comprehensible subject matter of religion for young students also.

جناب محمد طفیل کی وفات کے کچھ ہی روز بعد جناب قدرت اﷲ شہاب کی رحلت کی خبر ملی، وہ برطانوی حکومت کے زمانہ کے آئی۔سی۔ایس تھے، ۱۹۴۷؁ء کے بعد پاکستان کے بڑے بڑے عہدوں پر مامور رہے، وہ جب پاکستان کے گورنر جنرل جناب غلام محمد صاحب کے سکریٹری تھے، تو پہلی بار ۱۹۵۵؁ء میں ان سے دارالمصنفین کے دفتری کام کے سلسلہ میں ملا، ایک روز گورنر جنرل ہاؤس میں دوپہر کا کھانا ہوا تو وہ بھی شریک ہوئے لیکن خاموش بیٹھے رہے، ان سے کھانا شروع کرنے کے لیے کہا گیا تو بولے آج شعبان کی پندرہویں تاریخ ہے، وہ نفل روزے سے ہیں، ان کی اس مذہبیت کا اثر دستر خوان کے تمام شرکاء پر رہا۔
۱۹۵۵؁ء سے پاکستان کا سفر برابر کرتا رہا، ان سے برابر ملاقاتیں ہوتی رہیں، دارلمصنفین کی مطبوعات کا جب باضابطہ حق طباعت و اشاعت حکومت پاکستان کو دیا جارہا تھا تو انھوں نے اس کی دفتری کاروائی کرنے میں بڑی سہولتیں پہنچائیں جس کے لیے دارلمصنفین ان کا بڑا ممنون ہوا، ان میں سرکاری افسر کی رعونت بالکل نہ تھی، ہر موقع پر بڑے متین، سنجیدہ اور بااخلاق نظر آئے، بولتے بہت کم تھے مگر سنتے سب کی تھے، اور حتیٰ الامکان مدد کیا کرتے تھے، ان کو انگریزی اور اردو لکھنے میں بڑی مہارت تھی، اردو ادب کا بڑا عمدہ مذاق رکھتے تھے لیکن اس کا اظہار اپنی گفتگوؤں میں نہ ہونے دیتے، ادبی حلقوں میں اپنی اردو تحریروں کے لیے مقبول تھے، دعا ہے کہ اﷲ تبارک و تعالیٰ ان کی نیکیوں، لوگوں کے ساتھ کرم گستریوں اور روز مرہ زندگی میں ان کی خوبیوں کی بدولت ان کو اپنی آغوش عفو و کرم میں لے کروہی جگہ عطا فرمائیں جو نیک بندوں کو اس کی بارگاہ میں ملا کرتی ہے، آمین۔...

ANALISIS NILAI-NILAI TOLERANSI DALAM BUKU “SENANG BELAJAR AGAMA ISLAM DAN BUDI PEKERTI” DI KELAS IV DAN V SD DI KAB. KARANGANYAR “SENANG BELAJAR AGAMA ISLAM DAN BUDI PEKERTI” DI KELAS IV DAN V SD DI KAB. KARANGANYAR

Com   Abstrak Kesuksesan pendidikan toleransi melalui pendidikan agama Islam dapat ditopang oleh komponen bahan ajar, misalnya buku “Senang Belajar Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti” bagi Siswa Kelas IV dan V SD di Kab. Karanganyar. Permasalahannya, bagaimana analisis nilai-nilai toleransi dalam buku tersebut? Tujuan penelitian, yaitu menganalisis nilai-nilai toleransi dalam buku “Senang Belajar Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti” bagi Siswa Kelas IV dan V SD di Kab. Karanganyar. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian pustaka, data penelitian berupa nilai-nilai toleransi diperoleh dari sumber data buku dikumpulkan dengan studi dokumentasi. Keabsahannya diperiksa dengan teknik (1) triangulasi, (2) pengecekan anggota, (3) meningkatkan ketekunan, dan (4) kecukupan bahan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis isi ditemukan nilai-nilai toleransi, yakni 31 nilai toleransi, misalnya (1) tidak menertawakan cara beribadah umat beragama lain, (2) tidak membicarakan kekurangan agama umat beragama lain, (3) tidak mencela aturan beribadah umat beragama lain. Saran kepada penulis buku Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) SD, yakni perlu penyebaran nilai toleransi pada setiap bab; guru PAI dan siswa kelas IV dan V SD perlu membaca, bahkan menelusuri nilai toleransi agar dapat diajarkan berkelanjutan; siswa kelas IV dan V SD perlu membaca dan menerapkan nilai toleransi dalam buku dengan berkonsultasi pada orang tua dan guru yang membinanya; kepala SD dapat menjadikan sebaran nilai-nilai toleransi sebagai panduan untuk memilih, menentukan, dan merancang kegiataan sosial kemasyarakatan di sekolah untuk melatih kepekaan siswa menjadi generasi yang toleran. Dynamics of Training and its Institutional Role for Enhancing Human Producitivity

This study focus on dynamics of training and its institutional role for enhancing human productivity; therefore, a comparative study of selected public and private sector universities of Sindh would be carried out to know that how to optimize the human productivity and its continuity at the public and private sector university in this era of drastic competition with the help of training dynamics. This study is descriptive in nature so qualitative approach will be applied to determine the results. It would be conducted through survey research with the help of closed ended questionnaires. This is not possible to cover all employees of each university, therefore, we design random stratified sampling method as from each university there is a subset of teaching and non teaching field of profession then select proportion of male and female employees. Close ended questionnaires data would be interpreted by descriptive statistical methods with the help of frequency tables and graphs. This research study would elaborate the dynamics of training and its institutional role for enhancing human productivity as it sharpness the human sensors and resultantly such sharpened human sensors help in minimizing the loss and increasing the profit and leads towards world of professionalism. This research work is very specific and confined to the selected public and private sector universities of Sindh; however, some part of the work may help in generalizations. This study will help in addressing the problems and challenges being faced by the employees of public and private sector universities with reference to their training and development and will also provide guidelines for improving human productivity through training. This study would work out the different ways to achieve best possible human productivity contribution towards the development of an organization through dynamics of training.
