میرٹھ کے عالمِ دین قاضی زین العابدین ایک بڑے اسلامی مصنف بھی تھے۔ادارہ ندوۃ المصنفین سے ان کی عظیم وضخیم کتاب تاریخ مِلّت تین حصّوں میں شائع ہوچکی ہے،پہلا حصّہ نبیؐ عربی، دوسرا حصّہ خلافت راشدہ اور تیسرا حصّہ خلافت بنوامّیہ پرتھاجوعلمی حلقوں میں مستند وپسندیدہ ہیں۔قبلہ اباجان حضرت مفتی عتیق الرحمان عثمانیؒ سے ان کو خصوصی لگاؤ وانس تھا۔ ان کانام جب بھی لیتے تعظیم و تکریم سے ہی لیتے۔
دارالعلوم دیوبند کی مجلس شوریٰ کے ممبر تھے۔جمعیۃ العلماء ہندسے وابستہ تھے۔حضرت مولیٰنا اسعد مدنی صاحب،حضرت مفتی عتیق الرحمان عثمانیؒ کی ہمیشہ ہی عزت و تکریم کرتے تھے۔جب جمعیۃ العلماء ہندکے سلسلے میں مولیٰنا اسعد مدنی سے حضرت مفتی صاحب کے بعض معاملات میں اختلافات ہوئے تب بھی یہ دونوں بزرگ ہمیشہ ہی حضرت مولیٰنا مفتی عتیق الرحمان عثمانیؒ کاادب ولحاظ کرتے تھے اور عزت و تکریم میں ہمیشہ ہی بازی لے جانے کی کوشش کرتے۔
مولیٰنا قاضی زین العابدین صاحبؒ قبلہ ابّاجان مفکّرِ ملّت حضرت مفتی عتیق الرحمان عثمانیؒ کے شیدائی تھے اور میرے بھائی نجیب الرحمان عثمانی کے سسرالی رشتے کے بزرگ بھی تھے۔ حضرت مفتی شوکت علی فہمیؔ (اﷲ تعالیٰ ان کی عمر دراز اورصحت و تندرستی عطا فرمائے)کے عزیز خاص تھے۔ان کے انتقال سے علمی ودینی حلقوں میں صف ماتم بچھ گئی ہے۔ ابھی حضرت مولیٰنا قاضی سجاد حسین صاحب ،حضرت مولانا محمد تقی امینی اور مولیٰنا ابواللیث کاصدمہ ہی ہرا تھا، ان کی وفات سے ہمارے آنسو خشک نہ ہوئے تھے کہ برہان کوان کی وفات کاعظیم صدمہ ہوگیا۔
ادارہ ندوۃ المصنفین دہلی حضرت مولیٰنا منّت اﷲ رحمانی (امیر شریعت بہار) اور حضرت مولیٰنا قاضی زین العابدین صاحبؒ کے انتقال پُرملال پرخود اپنے سے، ملّت اسلامیہ سے اور تمام لواحقین سے اظہار تعزیت کرتے ہوئے دعاگو ہے کہ اﷲ تعالیٰ انھیں کروٹ کروٹ جنّت نصیب فرمائے۔آمین۔

متوازن شخصیت: تعلیم و تربیت کا نبوی اصول

A child born with a soul of being, but has lack of personality. Actually personality comes with the effect of good education, guidance, squatter and environment in which a child lives. But literally due to the teachings of Hinduism or Buddhism or Christianity a human existence proves oneself with a personality. Even western civilization has an ideal concept of personality, but human personality has its very strong roots in Islamic teachings as Holy Qur’ān gives us a first-hand description about an “Ideal Personality”. According to the “Sunnah” of Prophet Muhammad (r) man has some qualities of “moderation” which can be the dominant in excess of his existence. So, man should establish equilibrium regards his personality. But there is need to create stability in education, society and politics on the basis of “moderation”. Islam lays a great emphasis on character building. Balanced personality is based on all the best qualities of head and heart. Our Holly Prophet’s (r) personality is an excellent example of balanced personality. In Islamic perspective just to accept the characteristics and Sunnah of Muhammad (r) can be equal to the modern word of personality. But have we absorbed the ultimate concept of personality? Which personality can we call an ideal personality? These two questions are very significant to wonder about on the concept of ideal personality. Every religion and civilization has its own true meaning of ideal personality, but besides all this according to Quran the ideal personality is concealed in a word “Sunnah”. The article highlights on basic characteristics of ideal personality in the light of teachings of Holly Prophet (r). Balanced and Moderate personality is the basic principle of Prophets Teachings

Analysis of Crack Propagation in a Thick-Walled Cylinder under Fatigue Loading

Reliability of materials and structures in the form of thick-walled cylinders is of critical importance to many industries including power, nuclear, chemical, armament, and food processing industries. Catastrophic failure of these cylinders can put the human life and the surroundings at very high risk. For this reason, the integrity of the cylinder should be guaranteed. The integrity of nearly all engineering structures is threatened by the presence of cracks. Structural failure occurs if a crack larger than a critical size exists. Although most well designed structures initially contain no critical cracks, subcritical cracks can grow to failure under fatigue loading, called fatigue crack propagation. Fatigue failure that is failure under repeated or cyclic loading is a serious concern of engineering design. Under fatigue loading the component may fail at a stress level that is far below its yield strength. In present research the fatigue crack propagation, in a thick- walled cylinder, is analyzed through detailed experimental work and finite element analysis and the fatigue crack growth life of the cylinder, with crack at the bore surface, has been predicted. Extrusion process induces microstructural anisotropy in the thick-walled cylinder. The intensive experimental work, with the help of laboratory tests on the material under investigation, explores the details of the material and the microstructure-properties relationship in the longitudinal and transverse orientations. The yield and tensile strength in two orientations are not significantly different. However, percent elongation, reduction in area, impact strength and fracture toughness of the material are superior in the axial direction. A marked impact of anisotropy is found on the fatigue properties and shorter fatigue life in the transverse direction was obtained, which is 41 to 62 % lower in the tested stress range of 129 to 47 MPa. The theoretical part of the study includes modeling and simulation based on finite element method and the numerical technique is employed for the simulation of fatigue crack propagation. The finite element analysis, based on linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM) combined with the Paris law, suitably predicts the fatigue life and provides the results that are in good agreement with the experimental results. Both the experimental and numerical results of the crack growth data at different stress levels were found in good agreement all along the Paris regime. In the near threshold region the predicted values are conservative. With implementation of the present scheme of work the fatigue crack growth life of the thick-walled cylinder, with internal axial crack, has been predicted.
