Workplace mistreatment is a workplace stressor which has adverse effect on work outcomes. Due to its inimical consequences, an ample of research has been conducted during last few years to cope mistreatment at workplace. This study investigates the moderating role of psychological capital on the relationship between workplace mistreatment (workplace incivility, abusive supervision, workplace mobbing) and on-job behaviors (job performance, organizational citizenship behavior towards organization, organizational citizenship behavior towards individuals and counterproductive work behavior towards organization, counterproductive behavior towards individuals). Multisource data was collected through questionnaires from faculty members serving in universities in Pakistan. The data for independent variables i.e. workplace mistreatment and moderating variable i.e. psychological capital was collected from 408 faculty members in first step, the data for on-job behaviors (job performance, organizational citizenship behavior towards organization, organization citizenship behavior towards individuals) was collected from their supervisors and data for (counterproductive work behavior towards organization, counterproductive behavior towards individuals) was collected from their peers. The results of the study revealed that workplace mistreatment (workplace incivility, abusive supervision, workplace mobbing) has significant relationship with and job performance, organizational citizenship behavior towards organization, organizational citizenship behavior towards individuals. The results also revealed that psychological capital moderates the relationship between workplace mistreatment (workplace incivility, abusive supervision, workplace mobbing) and job performance, organizational citizenship xvi behavior towards organization, organizational citizenship behavior towards individuals. However, in case of counterproductive work behavior towards organization, counterproductive behavior towards individuals, diverse results are revealed. Guidelines and recommendations are provided to Higher Education Commission, Pakistan and university management to tackle workplace mistreatment in the universities in Pakistan. Future research directions are discussed

افسوس ہے کہ ۲۳ مئی کو مولانا عبدالمجید ندوی صدر مدرس مدرستہ الاصلاح سرائے میر ایک حادثہ میں جاں بحق ہوگئے، اناﷲ وانا الیہ راجعون۔
وہ ایک تقریب میں شرکت کے لیے جارہے تھے، رانی کی سرائے میں کوئی بچہ ان کی گاڑی کی زد میں آگیا، مگر ڈرائیور کی ہوشیاری سے وہ بالکل بچ گیا اور اسے کوئی چوٹ نہیں آئی، اس کے باوجود بعض شرپسند لوگوں نے پتھراؤ کیا۔ جس سے مولانا کے دماغ پر ضرب شدید آگئی اور اعظم گڑھ اسپتال میں انھوں نے دم توڑ دیا۔
مدرستہ الاصلاح میں متوسطات تک تعلیم حاصل کرنے کے بعد وہ ندوۃ العلما لکھنؤ میں داخل ہوئے، فراغت کے بعد لکھنؤ یونیورسٹی سے ایم۔ اے کیا، پھر بی۔ایڈ کے لیے شبلی کالج اعظم گڑھ میں داخلہ لیا۔ ندوہ کی آخری جماعت میں تفسیر کا درس مولانا عبدالباری ندوی فلسفی سے لیا۔ جن کی تعلیم و تربیت کا خاص اثر ان پر پڑا، وہ کئی برس تک ان کے ساتھ ہی ان کے مکان میں رہے، اس سے ان کو بڑا علمی و دینی فائدہ پہنچا مگر باقاعدہ بیعت مولانا سید ابوالحسن علی ندوی مدظلہ سے ہوئے۔
اعظم گڑھ میں وہ میرے ساتھ رہتے تھے، ان کے دینی ذوق و رجحان، مذہبی حمیت، شعائردین اور ارکان اسلام کے احترام خصوصاً نماز کی پابندی اور اہتمام کی بنا پر مولانا شاہ معین الدین احمد ندوی ان کی بڑی قدر کرتے تھے اور شاہ صاحب نے دارالمصنفین میں لائبریرین کی حیثیت سے ان کا تقرر بھی کیا مگر وہ اپنے بعض مشاغل کی وجہ سے یہاں زیادہ دنوں تک قیام نہیں کرسکے۔ اس کے بعد مختلف وقتوں میں مدرستہ الاصلاح، جامعتہ الرشاد اور شعبۂ دینیات مسلم یونیورسٹی سے وابستہ ہوئے، ادہر چند برس سے وہ مدرستہ الاصلاح کے مہتمم تھے۔ ان میں لکھنے پڑھنے کی اچھی...

Western mind always remains muddled to fathom the Islamic belief “Prophethood” but it is grand reality that the West has contributed a lot in “Sirah Writing” from 17th to the present age. Although, in primary literature, Western scholars have delineated their abhorrence in this regard, without any research analysis. They usually used to twist the facts and misinterpret the text in attempt to sustain their assumption under their own perception. In the present age, literary change is seen in Western Writings that scholars have admired categorically the demonstrative Personality of Mohammad (PBUH) as well as they have praised his attributes as authoritative leader, Reformer, Peace maker etc. It will discuss the changes which were seen in Western writings about Sirah and analysis the causes and facts accordingly. It will also throw light on the Western assumption about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH); which has been prevailed in their writings before 19th even changed now. Islam is religion of Peace and Prophet of Islam has sent as” Blessing for All the Universe” from God Almighty so the question is what are the motives to bring forward theses western suppositions in this regard and at what extent it will affect? It will be discussed through comparative analysis among the Sirah books by Western Scholars Maxim Rodinson, Karen Armstrong and Michael Cook.

In the present research the reasearcher has evaluated the revival of Islamic Values and education system of Pakistan. The study starts with the introduction Concept, meaning, needs, importance, objectives and limitations of values in terms of basic terminology in the first chapter. There is detailed discussion about values according to the Holy Quran and Sunnah. It has been tried to know the background of educational history of Pakistan, objectives of educational policies and basic elements of education system of Pakistan and their character for revival of Islamic values in 2nd chapter. In 3rd chapter, researcher has tried to explain the causes of absence of Islamic values in different educational institutions and levels. Evolution of education in Pakistan, and discussion about difficulties in revival of Islamic values in 4th Chapter has been discussed. Ethical, spiritual, political, social and economical effects of Islamic values are discussed in 5th chapter. The last chapter concludes with the whole reasearch with suggestions. Islamic values are basic elements for an Islamic (Muslim) society. They have a universal role in every field of life. The researcher has also tried to evaluate the role of public and private educational system affiliated with foreign institutions in the revival of Islamic values. There is no remarkable contribution in the above- mentioned institution to the revival of Islamic values. Curricula of public and private institutions are different from one another. The present research demands, from the very beginning that there is dire need to reorganize and restructure the educational system in Pakistan under the Islamic educational policies and values.
