This study was designed to explore the relationship of the institutional and social factors with adolescents’ socialization and attitude towards learning. It further aimed to highlight the impact of demographic variations such as adolescents’ age, gender, academic achievement, parents’ qualification and socio–economic status of the family on their socialization and attitude towards learning. The objectives also included to discover which of the factors influence students’ socialization and attitude towards learning more; institutional or social. For measurement of the perception of adolescents, teachers and parents about the adolescents’ socialization and attitude towards learning three indigenous inventories were developed separately, each having four subscales. Teachers’ role, discipline, hidden curriculum, peer relationship were the subscales of the variable institutional factors. The variable social factors have four subscales such as, relationship with parents, home environment, media impact and community influence. For the variable socialization the four subscales were positivity, confidence, self-respect, organized. For the variable attitude towards learning the four subscales were responsibility, behavior, diligence and decision making. The sample was comprised of 300 students; 200 teachers and 200 parents taken from the population. The data was analyzed through various statistics on SPSS. Results revealed that there was a remarkable difference in the perception of adolescents, teachers and parents regarding the impact of various institutional and social factors on adolescents’ socialization and attitude towards learning. Adolescents whose parents were highly qualified were better in their socialization. It was also concluded that when the adolescents were asked to compare their relationship with the teachers and with the peers they answered that peer have a stronger impact on their attitude towards learning rather than teachers. It is recommended to bridge the communication gap between the adolescents and their adults. Supportive and caring relationship with the teachers’ help adolescents build the attitude towards learning and would promote academic achievement. Teachers may learn to deal with the variations in the nature of adolescents that vary from individual to individual which is also commonly known as the individual differences. Parents may build a friendly relationship with their children based on trust, peace and harmony.

A Comparative Analysis of Surāh Al-Mulk in the Light of Classical and Contemporary Tafasir

This research aims to draw attention towards the difference between the style of classical and contemporary exegeses. The purpose of this study is to help comprehend the explanation of Surāh Al-Mulk through different exegeses and bring into the light the difference between classical and contemporary exegeses styles, expression and methodologies. This research will highlight the importance of sources used in the elaboration of Tafs┘r. Ethical considerations were taken into account while conducting this research. As this study required the description and surveys from the books and research papers, researcher remained trustee and truthful throughout the research. The ethical consideration, which includes moral obligations for referring the quoted material to the actual writer and delivering truth in front of the readers were followed strictly.

The purpose of human life is to serve Allah Almighty. To remind him of this purpose Allah Almighty has sent Prophets with guidance from time to time. The main objective of the messengers was the character building of human being. As society progressed materialistically, it suffered from a gradual moral degradation, being inflicted by verities of evils and crimes. To address these problems, the revealed books and scriptures contained different methodologies in which storytelling method was also was adopted for its effective and convincing impact on human. Therefore, the study of the above-mentioned method in revealed books is crucial to address the moral and ethical deficiencies of the contemporary societies. This research is comprised of three chapters. The first chapter deals with the comparative and analytical study of the methodology of storytelling in the context of the Quran and Bible (Old Testament). The second chapter discusses the stories of the Quran and Bible in the perspective of of the prevention of unethical behaviour and attitude at individual, familial and societal level. The third chapter examines the stories of the Quran and Bible in the perspective of the promotion of ethical behaviour and attitude at individual, familial and societal level. The study reveals that the Qur'anic stories are not solely meant for storytelling rather, they have a moralistic purpose. On the contrary, Bible contains stories focusing more on historical perspective. Similarly, all the moral teachings present in the Bible are presented in the Quran while the case is not same otherwise. Moreover, there is no contradiction in the Quranic stories while on the other hand, there are contradictions between biblical stories and teachings.
