Many years back when television was just a dream, people used radio as an effective mode for communication and learning. In mid-20’s, with the advent of radio, man truly has stepped further into the revolutionary world. Radio is a very popular mode of media in our country. It has various important reasons i.e.easily accessible, cheaper and also used for entertainment and education purpose for common masses. In Pakistan, besides radio Pakistan, many commercial and noncommercial FM radios are also working. Mostly, FM commercial radios are considered as entertainment channels which air musical and entertainment stuff. On the other hand, noncommercial (campus radios) are working in different sectors, mainly in educational institutes as well as in some public sector departments. These FM radios are very effectively conveying information and education. FM community based radios are being used as a very effective, valuable, useful and result oriented educational tool all over the world. Many developed countries have used radio medium as a tool for distance education to the masses particularly to educate and address the people living in remote areas. In many countries of Africa and Asia, radio medium has been used as a tool of social change. Radio broadcasting has been used to address public issues, promotion of social and community awareness. The results of the research depicts that radio industry has revived after emergence of FM radios in Pakistan. FM radio has positive impact on its listeners and FM radio programs are impacting culturally, politically and socially on values of our youth. Furthermore, results of study also reveal that improvement is still required in FM broadcast so as to fully utilize potential of this useful medium in highlighting different cultural, political and social issues, keeping in view of the fact that the most affiliated group of society with FM radios is our youth. In Pakistan, radio medium deserves greater attention. Community radios are essentially required especially to address issues of rural and isolated communities. Government should learn from other part of world where radio is very effectively being used to approach the masses for awareness, education and information.

ABSTRACT According to Islamic jurisprudence, power of attorney is a lawful provision. It is very much apparent in matters like marriage, divorce, sale and purchase transactions, trade partnerships, and criminal cases. In these situations, someone else other than the person concerned may be appointed as a representative or agent to act on behalf of the original person. There are some controversies among Muslim jurists surrounding the issue of the power of attorney or of representation. This article is devoted to discussing the various stands of the jurists and their arguments concerning the scope of attorney and agent in the above-mentioned legal areas

Sponsorship and Marketing Objectives: Role of Success of Event and Corporate Image in Event Sponsorship, Study of Medium and Large Size National and Multinational Companies in Pakistan

“Sponsorship and marketing objectives: Role of success of event and corporate image in event sponsorship”. Study of medium and large size National and Multinational Companies in Pakistan”. This study aims to investigate the impact of sponsorship to achieve marketing objectives mediated by event success and moderated by sponsor’s corporate image in event sponsorship perspective. For the purpose of this study, holistic model “Event Sponsorship Success” has been suggested. Six constructs i.e., Sponsor Event Fit, Target Market Fit, Sponsor Leverage and Activation, Sponsor’s Senior Management Involvement, Integrated Event Marketing and Mutual understanding between Sponsor and Sponsee were considered in this research. The outcome related to sponsorship has been measured with the construct “Sponsorship Effectiveness” with three sub factors i.e. Brand Image, Brand Loyalty and Sale Objectives. Outcome related to Event management has been measured with the construct “Event Success”. Study was conducted through self-administered questionnaires, where response of 165 event attendees in pilot study and 385 in main study based on convenience sampling methodology in view of nature of study were tested. Structural Equation Modeling was used and data was analyzed with the help of SPSS version 22, EViews7 and AMOS 22. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) along with case studies the instrument was tested for validity and reliability and refined for main study. This study confirms significant relationship between sponsor and event (Sponsee) on- site techniques and other activities in event management perspective, which positively contribute towards the effectiveness of sponsorship and event success.- This research opens academic dialogue on various aspects of event sponsorship and makes useful contribution and guidance for sponsorship and event management organizations in Pakistan to work for mutual benefits i.e. the effectiveness of sponsorship and success of event. Since the survey was conducted in few cities in Pakistan, therefore results of the study can only be generalized in Pakistan. This research also provides enough guidance to explore new subjects / fields and avenues related to sponsorship and event management for future researchers.
