The prime objective of the research was to study the diffusion process and impact of the global business culture being brought by globalization on local business culture, which has longstanding roots. Several variables like age, education, income, marital status, family living pattern and background of the respondents were seen in the context of global business culture in order to measure the impact and duration of change. Some intervening variables like stress, motivation and rewards, achievement and encouragement, planning and decision making, performance appraisal system, politics, training and development, acceptance and adoption towards change, level of understanding other culture, loyalty and commitment and perception, were also analyzed in pursuit of the study objectives. The study was conducted in 100 export based textile organizations by selecting five personnel of upper and middle levels from each organization, who selected randomly. Quantitative approach used in this study to assess the impact of the global culture on local business. A random sampling design was used for the selection of employees from all the organizations. Pre-testing was carried out to examine the workability of the measuring instrument. The data were analyzed by appropriate statistical techniques including univeriate, biveriate, and multiple linear regression analysis through Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Findings showed that several independent and intervening variables effect on behavior of people who were working in export base textile organizations. Findings revealed that employees, under global business culture, have become more planed, systematic and scientific in their attitudes. This was also emerged from analysis that survival in business organizations demands adoption and changes in behaviour. It is suggested that government should formulate comprehensive policies to create strong relationship between social scientists and business managers for maximum productivity from the global culture. It is also suggested that business organizations must incorporate monetary and non monetary benefits to the employees who adopt modern values for organizational benefits and also disseminate it.

Literally Bai't means solemn assurance to do something and absolute submission to one's commands. All the believers have declared to follow the commands of Allah Al-Mighty  and act upon the guideline of His Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H). In the early days of Islam, every person intending to embrace Islam use to take an oath of obedience and loyalty to the orders given by the Prophet (P.B.U.H). The person gave his hand in the hands of the Prophet (P.B.U.H). Afterwards, this sort of oath was introduced in many kinds; one of them is "Bai't Islah or Bai't Al Tuba".  The Bai't is in accordance with the spirit  of Islamic teachings. The scholars of Islam in majority have accepted its authenticity as discussed in the article under reference.

Understanding How Selected Data Analysis Skills are Used by Grade Viii Science Students Engaged in Inquiry in Science

The demand of 21st century is to develop the learner’s potential to become critical thinkers, effective problem solvers and decision makers. This is possible when a teacher provides learning opportunities to the students to develop their data analysis skills. My study aimed to understand the data analysis skills of the science students who are engaged in inquiry in science. For this purpose, three inquiry activities were designed to teach three science concepts on the topic ‘Effects of Heat Energy”. A qualitative research design was used to respond to my research question in this study. Six student of Grade VIII from Leading Stars Private Secondary School (Pseudonym) Karachi participated in this study, among them two were girls and four were boys. The data was obtained through field notes and videos recordings. Later the data was analyzed by breaking videos into segments to find the themes and their meanings. After that video transcription of selected segments of the lesson was done by listening and writing every sentence or phrase of each individual student. Then the summary of the videotaped lesson was made. After transcribing the segments of the video and writing the summary of lessons, identified some themes that were emerged from the lessons and explained those themes in detail. The findings of my study reveal that majority of the students demonstrated analysis skills such as (identifying relevant science concepts from the activity being demonstrated, applying previously learnt concepts, identifying the procedure that is being followed and giving a reason for the phenomena at hand) well in all three inquiry activities. However, analysis skills such as (suggesting a solution for the problem at hand and articulating a conclusion) were less used in three inquiry activities and poorly developed in majority of the students. This study also indicates that students improve their analysis skills more in an interactive learning environment and the skills which are normally used by the students in their daily science classroom are found to be improved. So, it becomes very essential to improve data analysis skills of the students by employing creative teaching strategies to bring innovation in teaching and learning science.
