Differential diagnosis of autism and intellectual disability (formerly known as mental retardation) is getting more problematic because of the awareness of both autism and MR in recent clinical work. The overlap of symptoms/features of both disorders is one of the major causes of this problem. Using the phenomenological approach, the range of 92 symptoms/features were elicited from parents of 20 children (10 each of autism and ID). They were validated by ten experts (psychiatrists and clinical psychologists) to the degree to which each symptom is diagnostically related to Autism or ID. Sixty-six symptoms were identified as clearly belonging to one category or the other. Using as a base ratings, the scale was administered to 260 children (110 children with ASD and 150 children with ID) through an interview with the mother or the teacher of the child. The factor analysis of 66 symptoms resulted in two distinct factors. In addition, each of those 66 symptoms was tested on Mann Whitney U Test for its significance in differentiating the two disorders. Those symptoms were retained which had high factor loading (0.30 or greater) as well as were found statistically significant in differentiating the two conditions (p< 0.01). This produced two scales i.e. ASD Scale and ID Scale. The sensitivity, specificity, predictive values, and concurrent validity were found to be respectable. The results were discussed in terms of cultural implications, improvement in differential diagnosis, and a functional profile of the children that will be useful in developing training programs.

70. Al-M’arij/The Ascensions

70. Al-M’arij/The Ascensions

I/We begin by the Blessed Name of Allah

The Immensely Merciful to all, The Infinitely Compassionate to everyone.

70:01
a. A disbelieving questioner mockingly asked The Prophet about the punishment in the realm of the Hereafter which is bound to befall -

70:02
a. – the disbelievers.
b. And no one can prevent the coming of it -
70:03
a. as it is coming from Allah.
b. And, Allah is Rabb - The Lord - The Lord of the Ascensions.

70:04
a. Ascensions to where the angels and the spirit take a day to ascend,
b. where duration of a day would be equivalent to fifty thousand years of your count.

70:05
a. So O The Prophet!
b. Be patient with a gracious patience.

70:06
a. They perceive this punishment to be far away,

70:07
a. while WE see it as quite near at hand as an inevitable reality -

70:08
a. it will befall at the Time when the celestial realm will be like molten copper,

70:09
a. and the mountains will be floating about in the air like flakes of wool/yarn,

70:10
a. and no close friend will ask any other close friend about his fate,
b. for everyone will be preoccupied with his own predicament -

70:11
a. even though they could see one another.
b. The criminal would wish to ransom himself from the inevitable punishment of that Time by
offering his own children,

70:12
a. and even his spouse and his brother/siblings,

70:13
a. and his relatives...

تمثیل الانبیاء (انبیا پر فلم سازی) اور اسلامی شریعت کا نقطہ نظر

All the Prophets have been respectable in the scriptures of all the world religioins. They were sent to this world for a significant cause and remained model role for human beings, especially in Islamic point of view they have been a part of belief; and any disgrace towards them is regarded an act of pegamism. In modern ages the concept of presenting the lives of the prophets in film stories is developing though it is a source of knowledge but for many reasons it held a sign of interrogation wich has been discussed in this Article.

Co-Ordination of Gatifloxacin With Metal Ions and Their Analogues

The stability constants of gatifloxacin-metal complexes have been studied potentiometrically. The stability constant of the gatifloxacin metal complexes were calculated using a potentiometric method. For this purpose potentiometric data were computed through PSEQUAD Software. Stoichiometry of the complexes was calculated by Job’s method and mole ratio at different pH ranging from 4 to 9.During the stoichiometric determination of gatifloxacin-metal complexes at different pH, 1:1 ratio of metal to ligand at lower pH and 1:2 ratio of metal to ligand at higher pH were employed. For thermodynamic parameters like ∆?, ∆? and ∆? of gatifloxacin metal complexes were determined by pH titration at different temperatures (i.e. 30 ºC, 35 ºC, 40 ºC, 45 ºC and 50 ºC). The pH titration data were used for calculation of ???? values by PSEQUAD computer program. Graphs were plotted for ??? versus 1/?.The slope of this graph represents (−∆?/?) and the intercept is (∆?/?).The changes in ???? values at different temperatures were examined and enthalpy and entropy values were determined for ML and ML2 of gatifloxacin complexes. Gatifloxacin and moxifloxacin complexes were synthesized with different metal ions including Mg(II), Al(III), Ca(II), Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) and their structures were determined by spectrophtometric techniques like UV and IR. Stability studies of gatifloxacin and moxifloxacin were carried out under accelerated and long term conditions.Thermo lab stability chamber model T90008008 was used for that purpose. For accelerated stability studies, gatifloxacin and moxifloxacin were kept at 40 °C ± 2 °C at humidity RH 75% ± 5% and nil intensity of light (illuminate degree) was applied for six months. For long term stability conditions, at 30 °C ± 2 °C, humidity RH 70% ± 5% and nil intensity of light (illuminate degree) was applied for 12 months. No significant changed were observed on gatifloxacin under accelerated and long term conditions. In order to monitor the stability studies, the HPLC and spectrophotometric methods were developed as per ICH guide line. IR spectra were also obtained for identification of gatifloxacin and moxifloxacin were during stability studies. xix In-vitro biological activities (antibacterial and antifungal) of gatifloxacin and moxifloxacin and their metal complexes were performed. It was found that the metal complexes are more active as compared to gatifloxacin and moxifloxacin.
