The Thesis Seeks to understand the nature of Politics of Ethnicity and its relationship with national integration. In third world’s plural societies, ethnic politics has remained a great challenge. Pakistan is also a plural state having variety of ethnic groups. The ethnic heterogeneity has remained a constant challenge to the state authorities and the issue of nation building and creation of national integration is still a major task. It is seen in the research that the state of Pakistan always used centralizing and authoritarian policies to create national harmony. The state wanted to transform ethnic identity into Pakistani identity. The authoritative tactics of the state manifested ethnicity into ethnic politics. The dismemberment of East Pakistan in 1971, was the ultimate result. In the post 1971 period same policy was applied. Resultantly, ethnic groups from the four federating units, developed ethnic consciousness. In this research, three ethnic groups Baloch, Mohajir and Saraiki are selected to find out the main factors which politicized their ethnic association. The Researcher argued in this research that when state denies the demands of sharing political power or adequate representation in political and administrative institutions, conflictual situation develops between state and ethnic groups. It is also highlighted in detail that the political, economic and social factors determine the salience of politics of ethnicity. Apart from highlighting the factors responsible for politics of ethnicity and conflictual environment, the researcher also pointed out four variables to measure the threat for the national integration of Pakistan. These variables are the role of leadership of a particular ethnic group, the role of the middle class, their mobility for the particular cause, role of state and its policies in diffusing or escalating conflict and the role of external support for particular ethnic cause. The research also incorporated an extensive survey from the three ethnic groups of three provinces Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab. The research leads to a conclusion that some structural and perceptual perspective should be evolved to create national integration. For this purpose the role of state is very important. Instead of following the old repressive policies, political engagement, political reforms and social giving can bring about change in the plural societies like Pakistan.

سرقہ سے مرادکسی چیز کو خفیہ طریقے سے لینا ،جیسا کہ ابن فارس سرقہ کے بارے میں لکھتے ہیں
السين والراء والقاف أصلٌ يدلُّ على أخْذ شيء في خفاء وسِتر. يقال سَرَقَ يَسْرق سَرِقَةً. والمسروق سَرَقٌ. واستَرَقَ السَّمع، إذا تسمَّع مختفياً. ومما شذَّ عن هذا الباب السَّرَق: جمعَ سَرَقة، وهي القطعة من الحرير۔105
مادہ " سَرَقَ " ہے اس کا معنی ہے کسی چیز کو خفیہ طریقے سے لینا جیسے کہا جاتا ہے سَرَقَ يَسْرق سَرِقَةً. والمسروق سَرَقٌ اور واستَرَقَ السَّمع کا معنی ہے کسی بات کو چھپ کر سننا اور اس کی جمع سرقہ ہے اور یہ ریشم کے ٹکڑے کو بھی کہتے ہیں۔

"کہتے ہیں کہ اس کا مال چوری کیا اور ضرب المثل ہے چور کا پیچھا کیا گیا وہ بھاگ گیا السرق سارق کا مصدر ہے جیسے تو غلام کو بیچنے میں کہے کہ میں اس کے بھاگنے اور چوری کرنے میں بری ہوں اور رجل سارق چور قوم کے کسی فرد کو کہتے ہیں ۔ "

Frequency of Cardiovascular Complications in Coronavirus-19 infected Patients during the second wave in a tertiary care Hospital of Lahore, Pakistan Cardiovascular Complications in COVID-19 patients

Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) affects the cardiorespiratory systems by causing inflammation of the circulatory systems, hence, causing more cardiac complications in COVID-19 patients Objective: To observe the frequency of cardiac complications in COVID-19 patients during the second wave Methods: 235 COVID-19 patients presenting with cardiac complication to the Cardiology Department of Mayo Hospital, Lahore during 6 month periods of second wave of COVID-19 were included. Data regarding the medical history, age, gender was taken and the observed cardiac complication were noted Results: There were 76.6% male patients and 23.4% female patients. 56.2 % patients were already hypertensive, 37.9% were diabetic, 18.3% had familial history of cardiac diseases. The cardiovascular manifestations observed were, myocardial infarction (57.82%), 7.3% had angina, 21.3% had acute coronary syndrome and 12.3% had non ST elevation myocardial infarction. Conclusions: Our study suggests that there is a prevalence of cardiovascular diseases in COVID-patients which is a major concern as they are at increased risk for severe infection.

The Critical Study of Exploring the Quality of Software in the Context of Reliability

Software development and evaluation is the most difficult task in software engineering. The future of the software industry depends upon the development of software. For this purpose quality is considered essential step in designing software. Quality of software is dependable upon different aspects but the dream of software quality is not feasible without software reliability. Reliability of software is the chance of performing operation without any failure in a particular environment for a specific period. This research is basically concerned with improving quality of software. The quality is the instrument that can predict future of the software in industry. After this research we will be able to devise the strategy to measure and maintain quality of software. This research is an advanced comparative study of software industry in Pakistan. The research is based on the reviews collected through questionnaire and visits to persons concerned with the designing, maintaining and utilizing software. Among these reviews we also consider research papers published on this issue. It also discusses some techniques like CMM, Process Maturity Hierarchy used for measuring the reliability of software. The solution to this problem is to focus on the weaknesses found through the research. The first step towards formulating reliable software is to trace all the facts that are responsible for failure of software. Later each issue will be given individual attention for its resolution. At the end reliable software will be generated.
