In this study, the landscape of public relations has been explored in terms of craft and professional practices in Pakistan. The theoretical lenses of models and roles are applied to reflect a comparative picture of the profession in public and private sector organizations. The professional structure and competence of public relations departments is examined by observing their relationship with the top management, their contribution to different functions including strategic planning and decision-making, their prestige within dominant coalition, their involvement with the activist groups and their expertise level and usage patterns of models and roles. This study is quantitative in method and survey instrument has been adopted. The data are collected from highest ranks public relations practitioners heading public relations departments in public and private sector organizations in Pakistan. The results of this study specified that PR professionals in Pakistan consume all four western models while performing their professional tasks. Press agentry model is the first choice of the PR professional while two-way symmetrical model is least consumed by PR professionals in Pakistan. Comparatively, one-way models are more practiced in public sector and two-way model are most practice in private sector. Media relation role is mostly employed and technician role is least employed by practitioners in Pakistan. Manager role is more adopted by private sector practitioners as compare to public sector practitioners in Pakistan. Technician role is more employed by public sector practitioners as compare to private sector practitioners in Pakistan. Interesting findings of this study was that private sector organizations in Pakistan give more importance and prestige to public relations function as compare to public sector organizations. PR departments in Pakistan are employing all four models to deal with the activist pressure as per their needs, requirements and expertise in each model usage. Two-way symmetrical model with medium effect rate is the most useful against involving activist groups.

امیت رسول اور مستشرقین

Orientalists have always denied the acceptance of the divinity and authenticity of Qur’an. For this purpose, they have presented multifarious objections to prove the Qur’an as a discourse of Muhammad r which he learnt from the Christian monks and derived it from the judeo-Christian sources. They specially mention that Muhammad r was not an illiterate person he was rather a pupil of the monks. In this way, their aim is to prove false the claim of the miraculous (I’jaz) style of the Qur’an. We have proved in this study that according to Quran, Tafaseer and Hadiths of Prophet r, history and logic, that Muhammad r since his birth until his death, was illetrate, did not know how to read or write. In this paper, an effort has been made to examine the Western arguments and deduce the actual position in this matter. The basic and fundamental sources have been used to precede the discussion.

Organizing Group Work in Primary Science Classrooms

Teachers use many methods for enhancing learning. Group work can be used as a tool to enhance learning. It is a collaborative activity involving many pupils interacting with each other Group work can be defined as a collective work in which a collection of people work towards a common task. They work together to combine each others strengths. Group Work is a powerful methodology which can be used to allow all students in a classroom to be on task at the same time. In this methodology all students are involved in learning because it promotes maximum participation. As students participate actively in group tasks they are able to enhance their academic as well as social achievements. The purpose of this study was to explore different ways of organizing group work to support students' learning. From this study I wanted to know how a teacher can organize groups. What strategies can be used for this purpose? The strategy for this study was action research, which is a methodology to allow learners to move towards a better understanding and practical improvement. Researchers consider it as a process of total professional development. In this process learners improve their practices, skills, and conditions of learning and teaching. In the same way I improved my practices in this study. This study has found that to organize groups successfully the teacher needs to go in a systematic way by using different strategies. On this systematic way the teacher uses different aspects of organizing group work. These aspects are as follow: Assigning students to groups Assigning tasks in groups Teaching social skills Evaluating students' academic and social achievement.
