A Numerical Study of Flow Past Bluff Bodies in Tandem and Side-By-Side Arrangements Using the Lattice Boltzmann Methods Flow around bluff bodies is an area of interest for scientist from several years. A flow over bluff bodies is commonly seen in engineering, for example, wind over a group of tall buildings and fluid flow over heat exchanger tube arrays. A flow past bluff bodies in tandem and side-by-side arrangements are investigated numerically using lattice Boltzmann methods in this thesis. The numerical methods are validated for flow past a single square cylinder, and the numerical results show a good agreement with the available reference data. In the first problem of this thesis a numerical simulation is carried out for flow past a square cylinder with a detached flat plate using the lattice Boltzmann method for gap spacing (g) ranging from 0 to 11 and Reynolds number (Re) ranging from 75 to 200. Numerical results reveal that as gap spacing increases, there exist a critical gap spacing at g = 2 - 2.25, where the mean drag coefficient, Strouhal number, root-mean-square values of the drag and lift coefficients reach either maxima or minima. The shed vortices behind the detached flat plate and flow regimes are affected by gap spacing and Reynolds number. The observed results further indicates that the critical gap spacing and flow regimes are strongly dependent on g and Re. Flow control aims to reduce the wake dynamics and the fluctuating force. Second problem focuses on the effect of equal and unequal gap spacing and Reynolds number ranging from 75 to 175 on flow characteristics by identifying wake patterns, force statistics as well as wake oscillation frequencies. Different kinds of wake patterns are observed for the flow past three side-by-side square cylinders for equal and unequal gap spacing. It is found that the characteristics of the flow significantly depend on both the Reynolds number and gap spacing and the latter is much stronger than the former. In the third problem of this thesis, lattice Boltzmann simulations are carried out for flow past a row of rectangular cylinders at aspect ratios (AR) 0.5 and 2 for different gap spacings at Re = 150. The numerical results reveal that wake patterns are strongly dependent on g and Re. There exist secondary cylinder interaction frequencies along with primary vortex shedding frequency due to jet flow between the gaps. More interesting variation in fluid forces are observed for the case of AR = 2, as vortices generated on the surface of cylinder because the width of the cylinder is 2d. This study shows that lattice Boltzmann method is a good tool to capture the important features of flow past bluff bodies and suppression of fluid forces.

Qisas and Diyat Act 1997

E come across unpleasant news regarding people from different walks of lives. Teachers Judges, Doctors, Police Officers and so on are allegedly reported for committing malpractices and corruption. This is not the problem in our country. It is a worldwide problem. It is evident that the education which is given is not upto the mark. Though Civic education or value education is being given  across the country but it has not been proven that  much effective which can make character and personality of an individual strong engouh to  stops a person from committing the mentioned wrongs. On the other hand Islamic perspective of Civic education is more comprehensive and covers different angles and aspects of human personality and life. Islam aims to make an individual internally disciplined in the manner where he/ she does not do right things and acts just because he/she is under the eye of Camera but he/she does the right act because he/ she is supposed to do so.

Robust and Low Latency Security Framework for Ieee 802. 11 Wireless Networks

Wireless Networks call for enhanced confidentiality, integrity and authentication services because of their inherent weakness. ‘Counter Mode Cipher Block Chaining Message Authentication Code Protocol’ (CCMP) has recently been employed to replace flawed ‘Wired Equivalent Privacy’ (WEP) Protocol for the provision of security to IEEE 802.11 wireless local area networks (WLAN). Meanwhile, IEEE 802.11s – draft standard for wireless mesh networks (WMN) – has also proposed to use CCMP. CCMP, a two pass process, introduces considerable latency in multi-hop wireless networks, such as WMN. Increase in latency leads to a decrease in the quality of service for delay sensitive real-time multimedia applications. This research exposes the vulnerability of CCMP against pre- computation time memory trade-off (TMTO) attack and proposes a framework to strengthen the security of WLAN packets using Per-Packet security mechanism. Furthermore, a novel, robust and low latency framework for WMN is also proposed. The architecture of security framework involves introduction of piggyback challenge response protocol for providing data confidentiality and data integrity. Piggyback challenge response protocol offers fresh encryption key for every packet, per-packet authentication and use of secret nonce. Authentication of every packet offers prompt defense against unauthorized access. It is also demonstrated that the security framework is robust against a variety of security attacks. Encrypted and unique nonce provides unpredictability and freshness. Unpredictability prevents pre-computation attack and freshness ensures successful defense against replay attacks. Proposed framework is simulated and its iiperformance is compared with IEEE 802.11i in terms of latency introduced by the security components. For single hop, latency due to the proposed protocol is less than half as compared to CCMP. The improvement in latency becomes more pronounced as the number of hops increase. This novel framework addresses the CCMP deficiencies of high latency and vulnerability against TMTO attack, without compromising any of the security measures implemented in the standard.
