اے ڈی اظہر

اے۔ ڈی اظہر(۱۹۰۰۔۱۹۷۴ء) کا اصل نام احمد دین ہے۔ لیکن اے۔ ڈی اظہر کے نام سے ادب کی دنیا میں شہرت پائی۔ آپ سیالکوٹ کے ایک چھوٹے گاؤں ڈگرخورد میں پیدا ہوئے۔ آپ اردو کے ممتاز شاعر ‘ ادیب اور ماہرِ لسانیات تھے۔ آپ ملٹری اکاؤنٹس میں اعلی سرکاری افسر‘ سفارتکار‘ وزیر اقتصادیات‘ رکن قومی ترانہ انتخاب کمیٹی اور ہائی کمشنر آسٹریلیاجیسے عہدوں پر فائز رہے۔ اظہر کے والد ڈی۔ جی پاکستان ٹیلی ویژن رہے۔ اظہر شروع میں شاعری سے زیادہ صرف و نحو میں دلچسپی رکھتے تھے۔ عربی‘ فارسی اور کلاسیکی ادب پر اظہر کی وسیع نظر تھی۔ آپ اردو زبان سے دلی محبت‘ فکری مسائل و تحقیقی مہمات سے گہرا شغف اور پنجاب کی زندگی اور روایات سے والہانہ عشق رکھتے تھے۔ (۳۰۴)

اظہر کے تین شعری مجموعے ’’لذتِ آوارگی‘‘ ’’گریۂ پنہاں‘‘ اور ’’احوال واقعی‘‘ شائع ہو چکے ہیں لیکن انہیں ’’لذتِ آوارگی‘‘ کی وجہ سے شہرتِ دوام ملی ۔حفیظ جالندھری اظہر کے ادبی استاد اور دوست تھے۔ وہ ’’لذتِ آوارگی‘‘ پر منظوم تبصرہ کرتے ہوئے کہتے ہیں:

دیدہ ور اظہر بزورِ بازوئے نظارگی

 

7ہے بغلگیرِ عروس لذتِ آوارگی

 

عمر کے اس مرحلے میں جلوہ ھائے رنگ رنگ

 

فکرِ اظہر سے نظر آنے لگے یکبارگی

 

لذتِ آوارگی اس کو نہیں ملتی حفیظ

The belief of the finality of Prophet Hood (Khatm e Nabuwwat) is the basic belief of the Muslim Ummah, and this belief has been adopted since the first day. From the time of the Prophet ﷺ until now, the belief in the end of Prophet Hood has been protected on practical grounds and intellectually. Muslim scholars and philosophers, while strengthening it on the basis of rational and simulated arguments, did not leave a single aspect from which it could be undermined. They presented simulated arguments for the misguided sects in Muslim Ummah and for the non-Muslims, presented rational arguments in such a way that there was no reason left to disbelieve this belief. In this research article, there is a description of the simulated and rational arguments that are usually presented, such as the Quranic verses and their interpretation, the Hadiths, and the sayings of the scholars. And it has also been narrated what their style of reasoning is, in the same way, the legislation that has been passed in this regard in Pakistan has been presented in detail. Hopefully, this will make it clear what are the services of scholars and thinkers on this issue and what is their style.

Grade Ten Students Attitude Towards Mathematics: A Study from Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan

Students' attitude towards a particular discipline including mathematics plays an important role in their learning and academic performance. Keeping in consideration the importance of this important precursor of learning the current study aimed to gauge grade ten students' attitude towards mathematics in selected schools of district Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan. Furthermore, this study explored the differences in attitude towards mathematics across gender and academic disciplines (i.e., science and arts). A total 0[300 students (males 163, females 137) were recruited from five government schools to represent both boys and girls in the study. Of the 300 students, 201 were enrolled in the science academic discipline and 99 represented the arts academic discipline. Data were collected through a 5-point scale i.e., Mathematics Attitude Questionnaire (MAQ), using cross-sectional survey design. Data were analyzed using non-parametric version of independent t-test (i.e., Marin-Whitney). Results of this study indicate that grade ten students from public sector schools of district Ghizer, irrespective of gender and academic discipline, demonstrated positive attitude towards mathematics. Analysis at construct level revealed that among the four constructs, students' attitude towards 'usefulness of mathematics' was the highest followed by 'perception about teacher', 'confidence about mathematics' and' mathematics as a male domain ', Gender comparison revealed that, the female students significantly exhibited a more positive attitude towards mathematics than their male counterparts (p
