This endeavor deals with the investigation of the Chromophoric nitroso, azo, Schiff base and transition metal complexes. In the first part of this dissertation, Schiff bases were designed, synthesized and characterized by contemporary techniques. These Schiff bases exhibited absorptions in visible region, i.e 393-405 nm. Metal complexes of these Schiff were synthesized using d-block transition metal ions and these complexes showed bathochromic shift with respect to Schiff base ligands and their absorptions were appeared at 410-455 nm. Anticancer activity was found to be good in case of palladium and copper complexes. Electrochemical analysis revealed that these Schiff bases and their complexes behave as oxidizing agents. Heterocyclic pyrazolone azo dyes were successfully synthesized. Newly synthesized dyes were characterized by UV-Visible, FTIR, and NMR, elemental analysis studies and their exhaustion, fixation and fastness properties have also been explored. Heterocyclic (pyrazolone) azo dyes have been prepared by changing the reaction pathway. In these dyes, first azo dyes are synthesized from different active methylene compounds and then their heterocycles have been synthesized by treating them with different hydrazines. Application of heterocyclic dyes on leather showed high light fastness, wash fastness and rub fastness values such as 4-5, 4-5 and 3-4 respectively, which are moderate to good. Exhaustion and fixation values of these dyes are also very high on account of their high attraction and substantivity with cotton fibers exception being those few dyes which lack suitable functional groups for interaction. Furthermore, the dyes containing sulfonic and methyl substituents exhibited an incredible degree of levelness after washing demonstrating the good diffusion and excellent affinity to the fabric. Chromium (III) complexes of these dyes were prepared and they showed high fastness properties as compared to ligand azo dyes. Nitrosopyrazolones were synthesized from newly synthesized pyrazolones and their metal complexes were prepared and characterized by contemporary techniques. Electrochemical and biological study of these compounds and metal complexes were conducted and promising results were obtained. The geometries of all the complexes were determined by the help of slope ratio method through UV-Visible spectroscopy.

73. Al-Muzzammil/The Enwrapped

I/We begin by the Blessed Name of Allah

The Immensely Merciful to all, The Infinitely Compassionate to everyone.

73:01
a. O Al-Muzzammil!
b. O The Enwrapped - Muhammad!

73:02
a. Stay up in worshipful meditation through the late nighttime,
b. except for a little while,

73:03
a. - half of it,
b. or a little less than that, up to a third,

73:04
a. or even a little more, up to two-thirds.
b. And recite The Qur’an in a slow and distinct recitation.

73:05
a. Indeed, soon WE are going to entrust a heavy burden on you - awe-inspiring –
b. - The Qur’an.

73:06
a. Surely, the getting up by late nighttime for worshipful meditation is very demanding,
b. yet very rewarding for subduing one’s soul, and
c. making recitation more effective -

73:07
a. - for, indeed, during the daytime you have extended schedule of engagements.

73:08
a. But recite The Sacred Name of your Rabb - The Lord,
b. and devote yourself to HIM exclusively in wholesome devotion.

73:09
a. HE is Rabb - The Lord of the east and the west.
b. There is no worshipful entity except HIM.
c. So take HIM as your Guardian and Guarantor.

688 Surah 73 * Al-Muzzammil

73:10
a. And bear with patience over what they allege against you and your Divine Mission,
b. and keep a distance from them in a gracious manner.

پہلے ہزار سالہ مسلمان سیرت نگار کا اجمالی جائزہ

What was written on Sýrah-un-Nabiﷺ. No doubt reveals that the pioneer collectors of Sýrah -un-Nabiﷺ, vast sea with infinite depth. It is said about the Holy Quran that "ہبئاجع ی ضقنت لا" “its miracles are countless”, similarly the different aspects of Sýrah -un-Nabiﷺ will illuminate before us, regarding its greatness and significance. It is revealed after the study of Sýrah-un-Nabiﷺ that this authentic composition of S Sýrah-un-Nabiﷺ came into being after the pain stacking efforts of the Sýrah writers. Every saying, act, advice, character, manner and trait, speech of Holy Prophet ﷺ is brighter than the sun and moon. The Sýrah -un-Nabiﷺ writers with their efforts and devotion presented before Ummah such a standard and methodology of refinement and research-a distinction and hallmark of composition and compilation of Sýrah -un-Nabiﷺ -which was followed by the Sýrah -un-Nabiﷺ writers from time to time. The actual sources of Sýrah -un-Nabiﷺ are ﷺ Quran and Hadith. Companion protected hadith as Khulfa-ye-Rashideen (Caliphates) protected Quran.

Phenotypic and Genetic Characterization of House Sparrow Passer Domesticus Using Microsatellite Markers from Selected Sites in Punjab Pakistan.

Patterns of genetic and phenotypic variations are being of critical importance for the sustainability of the population and the persistence of the species. Genetic diversity correlates with the abundance and size of populations therefore has great ecological significance. As so far, it is not studied in Pakistan, this work was aimed at determining the genetic diversity and population structure for house sparrow across the selected habitats and to document its morphological characteristics. The total number house sparrow captured was 229 from two districts of Punjab (Faisalabad and Rawalpindi) studied for morphological measurements. While the blood samples was able to collect from 193 samples of these. Morphometric data analysis of house sparrow as influenced by site, sub-site and sex of the birds for nice characters ( viz., body weight, wing span, tail length, wing length, wing span and tail length ) revealed significant results. Microsatellite markers (16) were used to determine the genetic relationship among two populations of house sparrow captured from two habitats. The mean observed number of alleles (Na) ranged from 2.81-4.10 (sub-site III for Rawalpindi population to sub-site III for Faisalabad respectively). The Na per locus ranged from 2-8 indicated mean value of 6.75. The values of observed heterozygosity (Ho) ranged from 0.38- 0.51 for sub-site I of Faisalabad to sub-site III of Rawalpindi correspondingly. The deviation from HW equilibrium was 75.78% calculated from locus population comparison. FST (variation due to differences among populations) and FIS (variation within a population) indicated the relative utility of each marker for variations among populations based of allele frequency differences. All loci contributed significantly to the overall differentiation among populations across the sub-habitats of two major habitats (Faisalabad and Rawalpindi). The phylogenetic relation of populations was determined from Nei’s standard genetic distances (Ds) using MEGA software. UPGMA (unweight pair group method for arithmetic means) was used to obtain the phylogenetic tree having two main clusters denoted by “a” and “b”. The topology of UPGMA tree approved well to the history and geographic distribution of house sparrow populations with few atypical results. These results suggested that on small scale the ecological factors have strong influence on morphological and genetic variations as well as on the size of the population. Generally the fragmented environment can cause fine scale patterns of genetic diversity which helps to ascertain factors restraining population size and regulate conservation potential.
