This thesis develops and demonstrates the research complemented by theory and applications carried out in ensuring stability of actuator constrained linear control systems. The work focuses the posteriori approach in the design of controller dealing with saturation effect. Anti-windup compensator is therefore explicitly synthesized for ensuring stability of constrained state delay systems and constrained cascade control systems. Having gone through a detailed study of contemporary research literature, it has been devised that constrained state delay systems and constrained cascade control systems are the areas need to be addressed significantly using anti-windup compensator technique. Therefore the first prong of research focused stability of constrained state delay systems using Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. Anti-windup compensation is incorporated in Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) based formulations in varied conditions of state delay systems. First, the research taps the stability of constrained multiple state delays system. This work broadly envisages mixed delay-dependent / delay-independent multiple state delays, delay-independent multiple state delays, delay-dependent multiple state delays, delay-independent single state delay and delay-dependent single state delay linear control systems. Second, the research devises a novel approach of dealing with saturation problem using two-controller anti-windup design for enlarging domain of stability of constrained state delay systems. This approach is yet not found in the literature surveyed. Third, the research addresses an improved asymptotic and exponential stability of constrained state delay systems by removing the inherent system steady state delay with higher delay bounds. Lastly, the research concerns stability issue in constrained uncertain state delay systems. In the second prong of research a modified full order and static low order anti-windup compensators are successfully designed for decoupled architecture based actuator constrained cascade control systems. Besides, the same compensator is designed for rate limiter incorporated actuator constrained control systems. The design parameters are based on LMIs and solved using optimization techniques. To validate the design, detailed experimental results are also generated while successfully applying on temperature and motor speed control process variables. It is said that the thesis is a heuristic compendium of inferring the core significance of anti-windup compensators in overcoming the wind-up effect in PID based process control. Keywords - Anti-Windup Compensator, Time-Delay Systems, Linear Matrix Inequalities, Domain of Stability, Pole-Constraints, Cascade Control, Norm-Bounded Uncertainty, Multi-loop Compensation, Amplitude-Rate Limiter, Motor Speed Control, Cascade-loop Compensation, Block Diagonal Quadratic Lyapunov, Lyapunov-Krasovskii Functional and System Identification.

Despite the greenness of youth, it is a moment in a Muslim's life when his belief is likely to be hardened frequently by enticements and temptations. It is the responsibility of young Muslims to triumph over these enticements and protect their Islamic way of life, obey the teachings of Prophet, share Islam with others and study the teachings of the Holy Qur’ān. After the fulfillment of these essential obligations, young Muslims are predictable above all to play a significant role in reformation of society. Within the Muslim circle, it is supposed that youth is the most imperative period of life. Youth as bone of nation plays a vital role. They have the capacity to build nation of towards success in all the fields of life by utilizing the abilities. This is the time in which opinions, habits and beliefs are formed, and it is vital for the time to be spent in individual development. For instance, Muslim youth should dedicate themselves into making and spreading the glimpses of Sīrah in society; by avoiding the temptations of time in loneliners and solitude andwith the opposite sex and of seeking knowledge by following the preaching’s of Prophet Muhammad (r). In this way, Muslim youth will be a spiritually strong enough to serve as a role model for other young people and society as whole. The article manifests the same components in the light of teachings of Holy prophet (r). Consolidating with Qur'anic verses, imminent exegetical literature and sayings of the companions of Prophet Muhammad (r), youth can play an active and positive role in reformation and development of society.

Iscrum: An Improved Scrum Process Model

Transition of Software industry from classical software development to Agile software development is because of the continuously changing market needs and complex business transformations. By offering faster delivery of quality product with better collaboration and customer satisfaction, Agile approaches fulfil the demands of highly dynamic market environments. There are several Agile methodologies such as Crystal, Extreme programming, DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Method), Scrum, Feature-driven development (FDD), etc. Scrum is one of the most popular Agile process models. It is adaptive and versatile in nature and based on iterative and incremental practices. This methodology has yielded a significant increase in productivity and quality of the product. However, there are certain weak areas where we need to focus on including documentation, testing, team?s performance, visibility of work during a Sprint, and maintenance. This work has not only identified these problem areas but also proposed a solution to overcome the problems. This customized version of Scrum has brought innovation by addition and adaptation of certain practices while keeping intact the simplicity and integrity of Scrum model. The proposed solution has tailored and adapted Agile Scrum in different areas for software process improvement that in turn lead to increased productivity and product quality. A case study and a survey have been conducted to explore the validity of proposed model. In addition to that, a pragmatic evaluation has been carried out to assert if IScrum outperforms the Scrum in those challenging areas while achieving the desired objectives. It has been manifested through the quantitative and qualitative data that proposed model has improved the traditional Scrum in most of the development extents.
